Favoritism?!?!

She played all the games and gambled all her money away.....she never had a second thought since well, she is only experiencing this once, then might as well give it all..

"Ahhh..D@ng it! I can't get that cute unicorn plushy! Is this bogus??" Nala said

"All claw machines are bogus! The machines are meant to be that way so that you keep spending your money!" Jake said

"Come on let's go somewhere else, you need to be distracted from the unicorn.." Jake said

All of them headed to the mall cafeteria, find a seat, sat down as Molly ordered the three of them drinks.

Nala and Jake were left in the table, quite awkward and definitely need an icebreaker.

"Soo..how's the weather?" Nala said anxiously..

Nala was looking back and forth avoiding eye contact with Jake when suddenly she saw her older brother, Miguel, hanging out with his friend and all of them sat down and nect to him was a girl. He was twirling her hair and the girl next to him acted shy infront of him

"This is soo..unfair.." she mumbled to herself. "Jake..I need to go to the restroom.."

She sprinted her way to the mall restroom and started to tear up in one of the stalls.

"This is soo..unfair! How come Miguel gets to hangout with his friend, get a girlfriend and hangout in the mall?? It's fine if he gets a girlfriend or whatever..but to let him hangout with his friends....Mom and Dad never let me experience that..I'm already in middle school!! Everybody of my peers already has a personal relationship life and gets to hangout with their friends! Why is it that I don't get to do that?!?! I get to stick to a routine everyday and there's nothing exciting about it.."she mumbled and choked up in her words..

She poured down her tears and fixed herself..

She added eye drops in her eyes and her eyes looked normal..

"Hey! Where have you been.. You're the drink's ice is melting...Did you take a $hit?" Molly asked

"No..I was just..I just had my periods and I was afraid of leakage.." Nala said, looking at the floor..

She took a sip of her drink..

"Let's go home..my mom and dad are probably looking for me.."

"Yeah..they texted you like crazy..You left your phone with me and they were texting you like "where are you" or "are you okay?"" Jake said

"Guys.. let's go home..I don't feel like window shopping or playing DDR..."

Nala was staring at the floor, sipping her drink and Molly and Jake exchanged looks, suggesting Nala is bottling some feelings..

After Nala finished her drink the three of them went home...

In the Perez household

"And where have you been??" her mother asked furiously..

"Didn't you know we were worried about you??" her father said, holding back his anger..

"I'm sorry mom and dad..but Molly told me she wanted to go to the mall today because she wanted to buy something, she said it would be quick but we took longer...sorry for not informing you faster.."

"Well, you should be sorry..but I'll let it slide for today..You are the next successor of our hospital... You're brother is the next successor of our family business..and you should be focusing on your studies so that you could do well and pass on our family legacy.." her mother said

She went to her room and lied down..

Teardrops were falling from her cheeks and she silently cried her pain away...
