Fired

Vanessa woke up at usual time and went to work. Today she had a photo shoot in the evening and so she would knock off early today. In these four years she still hadn't seen the face of the CEO but she didn't mind it.

She reached the office and completed her works. After working for hours she glanced at her watch. It showed 3:37 pm. She quickly cleared her table and headed towards the elevator. She carried her bag with her and so everyone knew that she had completed her job. Previously when she was new in the company and went home early many employees talked behind her back. But when she balanced her jon perfectly no one spoke about that anymore. And after these four years everyone treated her respectfully and like a friend.

She was waiting for the elevator when the elevator opened and a tall, handsome man walked out. She hurried to the elevator without noticing him and pressed the button of the ground floor. The man was shocked to see her treating him like thin air. He went near a table and asked, "The girl who went inside the elevator works here? " the woman at the table replied, "Yes sir. She just finished her work and went. " The man was curious, "Does she always knock off this early? " the woman answered, "Yes sir. " He just nodded and went to his office.

That man was the CEO, Mr. Noah. He didn't appear in any magazine and the people outside the company didn't know about his identity. And so naturally Vanessa had no idea about it. Neither did Noah have any idea about Vanessa's identity. He called Alice to his office. Alice entered. He spoke, "Fire the girl who just knocked off from her work early. I don't want to see her from tomorrow. I don't care which position she works for. " Alice wanted to speak, "But sir she is... " Noah cut her short, "I don't like anyone questioning my decision. Do as I say now. " Alice just nodded and left the office. Soon Alice prepared the papers and took them to Noah for signatures. Noah didn't even glance at her name and directly signed them. And just like that Vanessa was fired. She had no idea what was happening when she was in the middle of her photoshoot. Her assistant got some calls from the company and got to know that Vanessa had lost her job. But she didn't dare disturb Vanessa now. The shoot ended after sometime and she informed Vanessa about the call from her company. Vanessa didn't understand why she was fired. She thought of going to the company tomorrow for this reason. So she went back to her home. After having her dinner she opened her laptop and checked her mails. There she saw her firing letter. She opened it and was stunned to see the reason. In bold letters if was written that she was incapable and she slacked off her work. She was stunned. But she didn't mind it. She just smirked and went to sleep. Tomorrow she would visit the company but not because she wanted her job back. Rather because she would probably visit it for the last time as an employee.
