Caliel
Today is being quite tiring, I spent the whole morning at the office solving pack problems and trying to find a solution for our health post. Our post is quite large, but we have few wolves with knowledge in that area. The only one with knowledge about herbs, remedies, and antidotes is the healer. She's a very old wolf, she has been teaching what she knows to some wolves and they are even learning, but when something more serious happens, the healer becomes very overwhelmed.
This afternoon I went to see how the medicinal herb plantations are doing. We have been cultivating these herbs for quite some time. We discovered that our forest has a wide variety of these herbs, so we have been cultivating and selling them to large laboratories, they use them to make medicines for humans.
It's the end of the day and I'm going home with my brother Silas. On the way, Blake starts to get restless. I smell a different scent, very faint, and a stronger scent of Elves.
"Elves here?"
"The scent is of Elves." My brother says.
With every step I take, Blake becomes more restless.
"What's wrong, Blake?"
"Did you smell that different scent? It's very faint."
"Yes, I did, but why are you like this?"
"I don't know, Caliel, but that scent is affecting me, there's something strange."
"Looks like we'll find out soon."
I see one of my guards talking to two Elves in front of my house. I quicken my pace and speak to the guard.
"Arlo, who authorized the entry of these Elves into my pack?" I ask and he immediately lowers his gaze because of my power of dominance.
"I'm sorry, Alpha, but this Elf is General Lucius, the one who saved our Luna and the Lord when he was small." I look closely at the Elf in front of me. I was very small, but now I'm remembering, it's him.
"General Lucius, I apologize for the reception. You know that Elves and wolves don't usually get along very well, but to what do I owe the honor of your visit?" I say and look at the girl who is right behind him. Blake is very restless with her and so am I. She doesn't smell like an Elf, nor like a wolf, she doesn't seem to be a human. She has a different scent, very faint, subtle, but I can't figure out what she is.
"I understand, Alpha, I am here to ask you a great favor." He says and I can feel his distress.
"Follow me, please."
I follow him to my home office, open the door and the three of them enter, followed by my brother.
The General sits in one of the chairs in front of me, the girl and the younger Elf stand.
"You can sit on that sofa if you want."
The two sit on the sofa and the younger Elf puts his arm around her shoulders, Blake growls immediately.
"What's wrong, Blake?"
"I don't know, Caliel, but I didn't like that Elf touching the girl."
"Calm down, I'm not in the mood to kill the Elf who saved our lives."
"Alright, General, you can speak."
"Alpha, what I have to say is extremely confidential..." He says and looks at my brother.
"You can speak, General, this is my Beta and my brother, I trust him with my life."
"Okay, well, years ago I protected your mother and you, from those damn wolves, today I come here to ask for protection for my daughter Luz, she is the most precious thing in my family. She is not my blood daughter, but we love her as if she were. She is a fairy and a wolf too, but she hasn't transformed yet, she will be 18 in 2 months and as you know wolves are not allowed among us, that's why I'm here to ask you to give her shelter. Luz can help your pack a lot, she knows a lot about herbs, knows how to manipulate them, make antidotes and medicines, knows how to fight, she was trained by me and her brother since she was little..."
"Caliel, this General is hiding something about this girl, she doesn't smell like a fairy."
"You said she's a fairy, why don't I smell a fairy on her?"
"Because she's using a scent inhibitor that we made for her, no one can know she's a fairy, Alpha."
"And why, General, can't anyone know she's a fairy? What are you trying to hide? If you don't tell me the truth, I won't be able to help you, I won't be able to give her my protection." He looks at her, who confirms with a nod.
"Luz is not a common fairy, she is a special fairy, she has many powers and if she is captured by some damn ambitious person, I don't know what could happen to her and much less to us, but they will certainly find a way to use her powers for evil."
"What powers does she have?"
"Luz is different from other fairies, she can manipulate three elements, water, fire, and earth, but she is training to master them, this is rare, usually fairies can only manipulate one element and that's not all, she has healing powers, can transform into anyone she wants, is a telepath and can read minds and maybe still has other powers that she hasn't identified yet."
"Wow, beautiful and powerful, what will her wolf be like?"
"Will you stop, Blake? What's wrong with you? You're not like this."
"I don't know, but something about this girl attracts me, maybe it's her fairy power."
"Must be that." I say.
"Can she read anyone's mind?"
"Yes, but she needs to touch the person."
"I want to see this, ask her to read my Beta's mind."
"No, brother, I don't want her to know what I'm thinking"
"And why not?"
"Let's say she might get scared, haha...it will help her, won't it."
What the hell is Silas thinking? If he thinks he's going to touch this girl, he's very wrong.
She gets up to go to my brother...
"Girl, you don't have to, you can go back to your place. Well, General, I have a big debt with you and I recognize that with your daughter's special skills, for my pack it is of great value, but the risks she brings with her are also great, I will be putting my entire pack in danger."
"I understand, Alpha." He stands up, the girl and the other Elf too. "I will seek help in another pack."
"But what are you doing, Caliel? I can't believe you're going to let her go, you can't do that." Blake growls.
"Calm down, General, I didn't say she couldn't stay, I was just making it clear the risks I'm running by accepting her here...Well, and thinking about that, I want that after she receives her wolf, she accepts me as her Alpha, that is, she will belong to this pack forever, she will use her powers, her knowledge for the benefit of her new home."
"I accept your condition, Alpha, as long as I am not enslaved to give my powers and that it does not affect those who welcomed me when I needed, that is, the Elves, the Fairies and the other magical beings, if you agree, I accept."
She speaks for the first time and the drug of her voice gave me goosebumps all over, Blake is looking like those emojis with the tongue out 😛
"About enslaving, I would never do that, now about the Elves and the other magical beings, if necessary, I will not only affect them but destroy them."
"Then don't count on me for that, I will never use my powers against those who gave me home, food and a home." She speaks as if she were talking to her friend.
"I don't think you're in a position to choose, girl."
"I'm also not in a position to submit, Alpha, I won't go against my people." The little fairy replies pertly.
"Your people will be your pack, what opposes it is your enemy."
"The Elves, the Fairies and the magical beings are also my people, Alpha." What an audacious little fairy.
"You are very insolent, girl, I think your father didn't teach you how to behave in front of a superior being."
"I'm sorry, Alpha, but my daughter is not insolent, you are not her leader yet, but I still am and she owes me obedience, she is defending what she learned from me."That we should never be ungrateful to those who gave us food and drink when we are hungry". She is doing just that, she is being grateful to the people who welcomed her until now."
"They only welcomed her because they don't know she's a wolf too."
"But my family knows and I'm sure that if many there knew the truth, they would welcome her the same way, but anyway... Luz, what the Alpha meant is that if any Elf, uses their powers improperly, hurting innocent people, you must defend your people who from today will be this pack, not all Elves have a good heart, just as not all wolves do, understand, daughter?"
"Yes, father..."
"I liked her, she knows how to assert herself and she looks even more beautiful when she's angry."
"Will you shut up, Blake? You're talking too much."
