Scarlet and Jennie are gearing up, pulling on jackets, checking their phones. The atmosphere feels tense, like something's on the verge of breaking
Suddenly
The doorbell rang
Scarlet
(whispering) who could that be
Jennie
(That's strange, I'm not expecting anyone)
Jennie
I don't know...stay quiet I'll check
She slowly walks towards the window, peeks through the blinds. No one.
Then
A shadow moves past the front door
Jennie
(catches her breath)
Jennie
(whispering) there's someone out there
Scarlet moves closer, tension thick in the air. Jennie doesn’t open the door. Instead, she steps back and motions for Scarlet to stay low.
They both hear footsteps retreating slow and deliberate, almost as if the person knows they’re being watched
Scarlet
You think it's charles?
Jennie
I don't know, but they're not here to just chat
The front door creaks open slightly, sending a chill through the room. Jennie edges closer. No one is there
Suddenly, a cold breeze sweeps through the house, like something—or someone—just passed by.
Jennie
It's too quiet. Too still
Scarlet
(glanced at Jennie)
Scarlet
We're not alone, Jennie. Not here. Not anymore
Jennie
(steps back towards the desk, pulling the autopsy report back into her hands)
Jennie
We need to go. But we have to be smart about it. If someone’s watching us, we can’t walk into this villa blind.
Scarlet
Agreed
But just as they’re about to leave, the phone rings loud, cutting through the silence like a warning.
Jennie
(shocked) Who's that?
Scarlet reaches for the phone. The caller ID shows an unknown number.
