File #1 - Nectar of the Gods

Time Stamp: 9 AM 15th, July 2962

A news anchor is staring at the camera.

"Dear viewers at 8.32 PM last night 12 Puritan extremists rampaged across Rome's ancient city and left a death toll of 283 victims before the Peace Keepers could subdue them. One hundred thirty-two among the dead where Peacekeepers themselves. Over 556 people have been left injured in the wake of the destruction. Many politicians have called for an immediate investigation into how these 12 individuals turned into monsters.

After the investigation was conducted, it is discovered that the Puritan extremists had consumed an illegal substance that mutates the human body if there are traces of other strands of D.N.A. that are not human. This does not look good for the Puritan's Gene splicing therapy centers that advocate reuniting with nature is the only way to true evolution.

The Peacekeeper was ineffective against them, given that they all have undergone Cyberfication, it seems close to combat engagements with the extremists were the reason for the bloodbath. Thankfully, Rome's city had a Laser Tank in one of its museums after World War 4 that was brought out to kill the extremists from afar.

The attacks were successful in eliminating the monsters without further casualties. The New World Government has since confiscated the Tank for violating its users without their approval.

The Peacekeeper force has approached Eden to supply their officers with Cybernetic modifications to militarize their officers to subdue extremists such as yesterday night without needing projectiles weapons.

Eden agreed to this proposal and said it would create Guardian Exoskeletons, which can be attached to the Peacekeeper's existing Eden Exoskeleton when required to deal with such threats.

Eden's Guardian Exoskeletons will be made from titanium alloys. Its internal A.I.C. will be installed with preset of weapons forbidden to the public, such as Thermal Energy Blades and Thermal Chains that cut through Diamonds like butter.

The Peacekeepers plan to make the new arsenal mandatory to be worn by all their officers. They also plan on doubling their current number of officers by the year 2964 in anticipation of Cyberfication Day.

This will make them stronger in close-quarter combat with Biological Purist Extremists who consume the 'Nectar of the Gods' substance. It is currently unknown who the distributor is or where it is manufactured.

File #2 - I am a Puritan (Audio File)

Time Stamp: 4 PM 18th, January 2964

"Ah, Guten Abend Herr Nath!"

"Good Evening Chancellor Morada! I would kindly request you to speak in the World Tongue for this interview recording."

"Ahem, sorry about that. As you know, not all nations have adopted the World Tongue set into practice by Eden Education. Even a Chancellor of the New World Government"

"I understand the difficulties of what change brings with it. Congratulations on becoming the youngest Chancellor of the New World Government."

"I don't think 29 years old is that young, I am sure someone will come along much younger than me one day. Especially after Cyberfication day, there will 18-year-olds running for political office everywhere around the world."

"Are you not excited to see the world change that day?"

"No"

"Why, Chancellor?"

"I'm a Puritan."

(Long silence)

"I am sorry, Chancellor. I took your joke seriously."

"No, it is not a joke!"

"Why on Earth would you reveal this on a live interview?"

"I do not believe in all this nonsense of pursuing immortality by becoming a machine. I am a Puritan who prays to the All-father Odin every day and seeks his guidance on how to best serve my people during the time I have left on Earth. One of the revelations I received from him is to reject this Cyberfication and point out the flaws in the Eden follower's way of thinking."

"Pardon me Chancellor, but I have not heard of anyone in the Government who has identified himself as a Puritan considering the numerous terrorist attacks by them in the past two years."

"That is because people are afraid of what might happen to them if they reveal their true allegiance to the public. I called you here to conduct this live interview to set an example to my Puritan brothers and sisters that there is no reason to hide our identities. Because I have used the Chancellor Executive powers to introduce a law that protects Puritans from persecution and can prosecute anyone if they harm you in any way including firing you from your job or banning your kids from school on the grounds of Puritan Beliefs."

"Do you not think that all terrorists are Puritans?"

"Some go too far with their beliefs and resort to the nectar of the gods for comfort, but I will not persecute the entire faith for their mistake."

"Chancellor, what you say now may cause riots in the streets! If another attack happens then, they will blame you for turning a blind eye."

"Why should I be worried? All the peacekeepers are equipped with Guardian Exoskeletons. They have had an excellent track record of killing every suspected Puritan extremist they come across. Let the Eden followers get a taste of their own medicine if they choose to break the law by rioting or to attack my people."

"Chancellor, I feel you are trying to provoke a conflict here."

"I am trying to make the public aware of the fact that Puritans are not criminals that can be abused because of their beliefs. The last few years have seen our numbers fall from 6 billion to 5.5 billion. A genocide is taking place right now, and the media is acting blind to it like the fascists who rose to power centuries ago in my fatherland."

"How are we, fascists? I mean they!"

"Before that, tell me, have you undergone Cyberfication? Because I get the feeling, you are not able to maintain your wits when it regards to this subject."

(Silence for a few seconds)

"Yes, I have, but it does not interfere with my journalistic integrity. It only increases my understanding of the subject matter."

"Ah, so it's true that Eden has its tendrils in the media. Why am I not surprised, fear not I do not mind debating with a crazy person."

"You think we are crazy for wanting Immortality?"

"Yes, you would have to be crazy to surrender your soul to an A.I."

"We aren't surrendering our souls. We are in control of our bodies."

"You say that now, but think about it in the long run. The A.I.C. in every Exoskeleton can quarantine you if you step out of line. I know this because it has happened to my younger brother last year. He served in the peacekeeper force and refused to follow a command to execute a Puritan couple who had one too many drinks and acted hostile to the authority. He was locked away in his mind for a month until I noticed he acted more like a robot than a Human."

"Are you saying that your brother was taken over by an independent A.I.?"

"Do you think you control the nanites in your body? It's impossible. That's why they put the A.I.C. into your Exoskeleton. But the A.I.C. serves another function. They are your slave master. The moment they connect to the Universal World Data Network, they upload information about the Biological Component, which Eden reviews and sends Quarantine messages if they deem them a threat."

"How can you prove anything of what you say is true?"

"For now, we have locked my brother up in a secret facility to separate him from the exoskeleton."

"That could kill him! It's a permanent attachment."

"How can you prove that? Do you think no one has tried it so far? Ask Eden if they haven't done so in their labs."

"Eden would never do that! They are a transparent company serving the people for over two hundred years in medical cybernetics. They have treated billions."

(Silence for a few seconds)

"Not many know this since Eden rewrote all the history books when they took over the Education sector. Eden started as a Weapon-Robotics company that sold its products to Warlords and helped them exterminate millions of people worldwide. Once the New World Government took over after the 4th World War, they banned Independent A.I Robots and projectile weapons. Eden was forced to rebrand themselves as a Cybernetic company dedicated to healing people who have lost limbs and minds to the very robots that once belonged to Eden. It appeased the New World Government to look over their past sins, but it is foolish to think that we don't keep records of true history in our vaults."

"How can no one know about this story!"

"Simple! One who controls the media and education. Controls the future, and in this case, Eden controls both along with health and security. They have fooled their followers into believing there are no strings attached if they undergo cyberfication."

"Chancellor, I think you will not remain long in that seat if you continue to throw false accusations against a company that supports our entire world."

"Herr Nath, I know that Eden tried to bribe many of my colleagues with the promise of immortality if they can get rid of me. Thankfully they know what is at stake here. In the law's eyes, I have not done anything to stop anyone from pursuing what they think will give them immortality. My purpose here is to educate the people of this world what is Eden's true objective by this generous handout of Exoskeletons."

"This is over."

(Sound of getting up the seat and throwing something on the table)

"No, Herr Nath. It has only begun."
