Bloodline of the Originals
Bloodline of the originals 5
Scene: Mikaelson Compound – Grand Hall]
The air is thick as Rebekah Mikaelson storms in, heels clicking, eyes locked on Caroline.
rebekah Mikelson
Rebekah:
I leave for a few days, and my brother’s suddenly domestic? With her?
Caroline Forbes
Rebekah, I’ve missed your spark. Still jealous I got under his skin?
rebekah Mikelson
No. Just worried you’ll bury yourself in it like the rest of us did.
Klaus Mikelson
That’s enough. She’s not the enemy.
rebekah Mikelson
She could be your undoing, Nik.
Caroline Forbes
Or the only one who ever truly saw him.
Scene: Garden Courtyard – That Evening]
Klaus watches as Caroline moves between rose bushes, touching petals as though she feels everything.
Klaus Mikelson
I never cared for these gardens before you walked into them.
Caroline Forbes
I didn’t come here to be your muse.
Klaus Mikelson
And yet… you are. You always were. Even when you hated me.
Caroline Forbes
I never hated you. I hated what you made me feel—like I could want something darker. Something more.
Caroline Forbes
Now I wonder if I stopped running… what we could become.
Scene: Rousseau’s – Nightfall]
Marcel finds Caroline sipping wine at the bar, distant but sharp.
Marcel
You planning on saving him or sinking with him?
Caroline Forbes
(smirking):
Depends. Does he deserve saving?
Marcel
No. But he fights like hell to be the man you see in him. That’s rare. And dangerous.
Scene: Mikaelson Rooftop – Midnight]
Caroline Forbes
This city whispers secrets. It’s loud… and heavy. Like you.
Klaus Mikelson
And yet you stay.
Caroline Forbes
Because there’s something between us. Something neither of us got to finish.
Klaus Mikelson
Not finish, love. Begin.
She lets him kiss her. Soft. Slow. Familiar. And when it breaks—
Caroline Forbes
If this ends badly, Klaus…
Klaus Mikelson
(pressing his forehead to hers):
Then it ends with fire. But for once, I want to burn for the right reason.
Mikaelson Library – Candlelit]
Caroline stands alone, flipping through Klaus’s old sketches. One of them—her, from Mystic Falls. The same dress. The same smile.
She touches the paper and whispers:
Caroline Forbes
You’ve loved me longer than I ever let myself believe.
Behind her, Klaus watches. Silent. Heart exposed.
