Unexpected Murder

In the previous chapter, Aditya had a mysterious accident. The police arrived at his home, only to report that someone had struck Aditya on the head, leaving him unconscious. Now, the story unfolds...

“What are you saying, Officer? That’s absurd! Aditya is only 17, and we don’t even own a car. How can you claim he had an accident and that his car was found submerged in a river?” exclaimed Rajesh Sharma, Aditya’s father.

Before Officer Narendra could respond, a voice interrupted from behind, “It’s true.”

Everyone turned toward the voice. It was Shekhar, who stepped forward solemnly and said, “It’s all true. Aditya… he’s no more. I saw his car myself, being pulled out of the river.”

Rashmi Sharma, Aditya’s mother, recognized him instantly. “Uncle Shekhar? What are you doing here? What are you saying? And how do you know Aditya?” she asked, sobbing.

She had assumed her uncle still lived in the village and had never even met Aditya. But now, Shekhar could hide nothing.

He revealed everything—how he had found Aditya a year earlier and introduced him to AV GROUPS OF INDUSTRIES, and how he had told him about his grandfather’s will.

The room fell silent with shock. Aditya’s parents, his aunt, his uncles—everyone was stunned. They couldn’t believe that in just one year, Aditya had taken a company worth 500 crores and doubled its value to 1000 crores. The revelation hit his mother the hardest. A terrifying thought crept into her mind—what if this wasn’t an accident? What if Aditya had been murdered because of the company?

Sensing the tension, Officer Narendra said, “We’re leaving now. Aditya’s body hasn’t been found yet.” At those words, Rashmi collapsed.

Her family rushed to help her inside. Still in disbelief, they began questioning why Aditya had never told them about his success. His aunt remarked, “Did he think we’d snatch his money? Anyway, it doesn’t matter now.”

Maanvi, Aditya’s elder sister, snapped, “How can you say that? We’ve lost our brother, and you’re worried about why he didn’t tell us about his company?”

Ashamed, everyone fell silent. Just then, Dr. Sudhanshu arrived and entered Rashmi's room.

Meanwhile, Shekhar, Officer Narendra, Rajesh Sharma, and his brothers had already left for the riverbank.

When they reached, Rajesh saw the broken barricades and a silver car being pulled from the river by a crane. The car had clearly crashed at high speed. But Aditya was nowhere in sight.

Rajesh ran to the officers. “Where is Aditya?” he demanded.

“The river is very deep,” one officer replied. “And the current is strong. It’s possible the body was swept away.”

“Don’t worry,” another officer added. “We’ll find him.”

At that moment, Shekhar stepped forward. “Officer, I’m from AV GROUPS OF INDUSTRIES. The boy who’s missing—he owns this company. He’s one of the richest youths in Delhi. You must find him.”

“We know who he is,” said Officer Narendra. “Please be patient. We’re doing everything we can.”

Unaware of all this, Aditya had drifted far from the city, eventually washing up near a forest waterfall. He lay there, breathless, his body cold.

Suddenly, dark clouds filled the sky. A bolt of lightning struck him square in the chest. His body jolted—his heart began to beat again. His clothes singed from the lightning, but nature itself seemed to refuse to let him die.

Slowly, Aditya opened his eyes, trying to understand where he was. He struggled to recall how he got there. Then it hit him—he remembered someone striking him on the head as he exited the car.

“Who attacked me? Why can’t I remember…? Wait… I do remember.” Aditya’s mind flashed back to that moment.

A masked man had been placing him into his own car when he had briefly regained consciousness.

“You’re about to die,” the man had said. “Any last wishes?”

“Who are you?” Aditya had asked weakly. “Why are you doing this?”

“I don’t want to kill you,” the man replied. “Someone close to you hired me.”

That word—close—shocked Aditya. “What do you mean?”

“Someone from your family.”

“I don’t believe you. Who are you? Let me go!”

“You’re not going anywhere. I was paid to do this. But don’t take my word for it—listen for yourself.”

The man pulled out a phone and made a call. After a few rings, someone answered.

“Well? Is it done yet? How much longer?” came the voice on the line.

Aditya froze. It was his father—Rajesh Sharma.

Then another voice followed: “He has to die. If he doesn’t, we’ll kill you next. Got it?”

It was Manvi—his own sister. And then, the voice of his younger sister, Kaushiki.

Tears streamed down Aditya’s face. His heart shattered. Why would his own family do this?

The call ended. Aditya sat in stunned silence.

“This can’t be real… Why would they do this to me?”

“You can ask God when you see Him,” the masked man said coldly. “But right now—you have to die.”

“The game has just begun,” Aditya whispered, suddenly smiling. “I will return.”

The man ignored him and remotely activated the car, sending it crashing into the river. But he had made a mistake—he forgot to bind Aditya. Unconscious, Aditya floated free from the car and drifted away with the current… eventually arriving at the waterfall.

Now, with his memory returned, he whispered, “Why…? Why would my own family want me dead?”

Will Aditya uncover the truth behind his family’s betrayal? Or will the mystery remain buried?
