The night was dark, and the usual buzz of college life had quieted down. Inside the empty room, Shaurya sat at a small table surrounded by his friends. Empty bottles of beer littered the space, their labels barely visible in the dim light. He had been drinking heavily, his mind consumed by the images of Aaradhya and Tanya.
Dev, Vikram, and a few others were scattered around the room, eyeing him with concern. They could see the anger in his eyes, and they knew it wasn’t just from the alcohol.
“Shaurya, maybe you should slow down a bit,” Dev suggested gently, his voice cautious. “You’ve had enough, man.”
Shaurya slammed his glass on the table, glaring at the liquid inside it as though it were the source of all his frustration. “Enough? Enough? You don’t understand, Dev. Aradhya and Tanya—those two sisters—have bruised my ego. They’ve rejected me in front of everyone, and I can’t just let it slide. No way.”
Vikram, sitting across from him, raised an eyebrow. “Dude, you’re seriously still thinking about this? You tried to be nice to Aaradhya, and she shot you down. What more do you want?”
Shaurya’s eyes narrowed, his jaw tightening. “What do I want? I want revenge. I want both of them to know they messed with the wrong guy.” He took another swig of his beer, his voice thick with bitterness. *“Tanya might have rejected me, but Aaradhya—Aaradhya will pay. She has to become my friend, whether she likes it or not.”
Dev sighed, leaning back in his chair. “Look, man. I get it. You’re pissed. But this is going too far. Don’t let it consume you.”
Shaurya’s gaze flickered to Dev, his voice cold. “You don’t get it, Dev. You don’t understand what it’s like to have your pride crushed like that. I’m going to show them. Both of them. Especially Aaradhya. She won’t know what hit her.”
Vikram chuckled nervously, shaking his head. “You’re gonna ask her again? After she turned you down in front of everyone? You know how that’s gonna look, right?”
Shaurya laughed, but it wasn’t a lighthearted sound. It was sharp, filled with anger. “You think I care about how it looks? I don’t. I’m not going to back down. I’ll do whatever it takes to make her my friend, even if I have to drag her into it.”
Dev looked at him, frustration growing. “Shaurya, this isn’t the way to handle it. If you keep pushing, it’ll just make things worse. Trust me, it’s not worth it.”
Shaurya’s fist slammed down on the table, rattling the bottles. “You think I don’t know that? I don’t care. You’re all just scared of getting involved, but I won’t stop. Aaradhya will become my friend—whether she wants to or not.”
He stood up, knocking his chair back with force, his eyes burning with determination. “I’ll make her my friend, and after that, I’ll make her regret rejecting me. And Tanya—she’s next.”
His friends exchanged uneasy glances. They knew Shaurya was dead serious, but they also knew how far he was willing to go when he was this angry.
Dev shook his head. “Shaurya, man, you’re crossing a line. You’re going too far.”
Shaurya turned to face them, his tone final. “I don’t care. You guys can back out if you want, but I’m doing this. I’ve got a plan, and I’m sticking to it.”
Vikram, still trying to reason with him, said, “You’re making a mistake. Just think about this.”
Shaurya’s voice cut him off. “I don’t need anyone’s opinion. I know what I’m doing. I’m going to make sure Aaradhya gets close to me. And when she does, I’ll make Tanya notice me too.”
As he spoke, a dangerous glint flashed in his eyes. He was done listening. Shaurya had made up his mind.
