Alex

He remembered the first time he saw her. For all of these months, Alex has been a shadow to her and now he understands her like not many people do.

She always tries to act rudely, but in her heart, she is the kindest person he has known.

She would yell at someone without realizing it. She would hurt someone without intention and then she would do anything to even it with something good.

He had known her for six months now and he was familiar with every detail of her life.

Alex remembers that day clearly. The day when Prime ordered him to keep an eye on David Harrison’s daughter. The day when his loyalty to Eclipse started to crack. She had changed many things about him and she doesn't even have a clue about it.

In the beginning, Alex imagined her to be a spoiled daughter of a rich dad. But she wasn't like how he pictured her to be. She was generous. She was cheerful. She was lively.  She cared about people around her very much. And she was stubborn. She has a really sick attitude.

Spying on her was the very first task given to him after becoming the leader of the Wolves.

Alex was well aware of the fact that he had to ace it and prove that the Prime had made the right decision.

Alex was confident that he could accomplish it very easily, but little did he know he would lose all of his senses in the end.

Alex slid his hands into a pair of sleek, black gloves. The leather molded perfectly to his fingers as he flexed them with satisfaction. Sliding the helmet over his head, he fastened the strap under his chin. The click of the helmet's buckle signaled he was ready to ride.

The ignition key turned. The vibrations traveled up his arms, a pulse of adrenaline in sync with the hold beneath him. He gave the throttle a gentle twist and the engine growled in response.

For Alex, biking was one of the few things that makes his blood rush with excitement.

It was a craze and an obsession. Something that keeps his soul alive.

Alex leaned forward. As he kicked the bike to life, the bike went tearing the air apart. The darkness and dampness were making his heart race with the speed. The rain was light and the moon was dim, looking like just a curve in the starry sky. He gave the throttle a thundering twist and the voice reverberated through the air.

The road stretched endlessly, dark and hush covering it at every inch. The ride was long, every moment was yearning to last for the entirety. He would let the hours fall on the clock without taking the time into consideration and ride for as long as his heart found the everlasting peace. But the journey must end and soon– likely a few minutes at his clock but an hour in reality, the destination was there and the time was up.

Alex yanked his head into a disappointed nod, he does it every time when he has to leave the bike.

He parked his bike in the garage of that fancy building. He was standing in front of the entrance where he would find his prey.

Alex has planned this mission deeply for weeks. A prominent point to keep in mind was that he was not going to get involved with her in any way. He would not even let her know that he was watching because if he doomed this task, it would be a disaster. Alex hasn't gotten many chances to make Prime satisfaction with his performance and this could be the moment he has been looking for.

After carefully passing the security with, he put the mask on and covered his head with a hood. It wasn't like she would notice him in hundreds of people but being safe was his priority.

He walked swiftly between people as he searched for her. She was throwing a party and at this moment, she must be the center of attention to everyone.

Alex had seen a picture, and he won't lie, she looked beautiful in that picture, but when he looked at her for the first time in real life, he knew it was all fake. The picture was a lie.

Ella Harrison wasn't beautiful. The girl in the picture and the one in the real-life person couldn't possibly be the same. He was left speechless because no words could describe how she looks. Her hair had the deepest and most beautiful color of blue he has ever seen in his life. Like the ocean on a dark night or the sky just before a storm. Something spectacular. Her eyes were so blue and so big with long lashes. She was small. She wasn't too short nor too tall. But she was gorgeous but this word seemed worthless. Ella Harrison was someone whose beauty could not be described by a mere word.

Alex was unaware that a slight smile from those rosy lips had the authority to melt his heart away.

And that was when he knew, this mission would not be as easy as he thought it to be.

It took him an effort to tear his eyes away from him. He took a seat at the bar and his eyes fell on her for another time. The bartender handed him a drink. He didn't drink because she was addictive enough. Ella was dancing with her friends. Dancing as if the world didn't exist around her. She was smiling, her eyes were shining. Her pupils were dilated and her body was waving in an unpredictable manner, she was drunk. Alex slid the drink back on the counter because he knew he would be driving her home tonight.

For the entire time, he kept his eyes on her. He was watching her from that distance. She was smiling and her smile was doing something extremely unusual and unpredicted. It was making his heart race. She looked happy and won't stop that silly smile. Alex knew needed to keep his mind straight if he wanted to complete his task.

He jerked his head hard and came to the right mind. He was distracted for some moments. And after that, he focused only on the plan.

Alex needed to stay as close to her as possible without making her suspicious. According to the plan, he had to get access to her phone and install the malware.

Alex waited there, watching her and constantly behaving like she was making no effect on him.

Moments later, as the party was over, all of her friends left the club and when he saw her leaving, he followed.

Ella was drunk. She was soaked in alcohol, stumbling on her steps as she walked to the parking lot. She was jerking her brain repeatedly but it was doing no good to make her sober.

Alex wondered where her friends had gone. It was natural to not leave a friend alone in this condition. Maybe he was thinking too much because if it works in his favor, then why would he even care?

He strode towards her as she walked to her car. There was no one in the parking lot; Alex took help from Jake and Luke for this favor. These were only two people he could trust with it.

He reached close to her. So close that a minor step would leave her in his arms. She seemed to notice his presence and when she turned around, she went motionless. For a slight moment, he thought his observation was wrong and she was not drunk. “Whoo aare you?” She asked in a playful voice and he breathed in relief that the drug he sent, worked.

“Let me drive you home,” he said in a deep voice. Ella walked a step closer, and Alex's hold on the keys tightened. She stood on her heels and squinted her eyes, trying to recognize him “I can'et you droive me hoome” she said with a cute smile and Alex failed to hold the urge to smile in reply “And why is that?” he asked

“Becoz I can'see your face. Yo- coube a gangster” Alex nodded to the right accusation, leaned closer to her ear and in a terrifying voice, he whispered “I am a gangster, Princess” Ella moved her face towards him, and her lips were on his cheek. Alex abruptly moved back. He was more shocked by the way his heart reacted than the touch itself.

His beats were skipping

She threw a hand on her mouth and blinked really slowly “Aam I in trowble?” Alex did realize that he was smiling more than he needed to.

In a flash, he adjusted his expression because Joe and Mark could be spying on him “No time for the talk. Let's go” After his words ended, he picked Ella up by her legs “Let gow off me!” She yelled, but he couldn't listen. He opened the door and put her in the front seat.

Ella was left stunned, so shocked that she was unable to speak a word.

She didn't say anything even when he tightened the seatbelt. She was looking at him with fear in her eyes and he liked the stare.

Once she was in a safe spot, he went to the driver's seat and started the engine with the keys he had just stolen from her purse.

Ella was quiet, smiling, getting terrified after looking at him in the mirror.

He predicted right, Joe and Mark were spying on him. Alex was watching them through the side mirror. Maybe Eagle made a deal with them or it could be Prime's dog or secretary, Dave. They followed them till a distance but then when there was nothing suspicious he did, they just disappeared. The two of them become too annoying to hands sometimes. Alex could do nothing as they has proven their loyalty to the club way too many times. There wasn't a chance he could throw them out.

As he saw them pulling back, he removed the mask and the hood that was not permitted to him.

Alex didn't really care as he worked.

With one hand, he drove, and with the other, he worked on the phone he just took out of her purse.

After a few moments, he was done connecting her phone to his and according to the plan, the task was done here.

He had to go and install cameras in her room because this was a good chance but Alex decided to delay it.

He didn't leave her in the middle of the road as he planned to do. The only explanation he wanted to think of was, if Ella got killed by some sort of accident on the road, he would fail the mission.

So, he decided to really drive her home.

“Aare yo a bad gowy?” Her shoulders were relaxed, she looked comfortable now.. Probably because he had done nothing to hurt her.

Alex looked at her through the mirror and she shyly broke eye contact. He laughed “Yes, Princess. I am a really bad guy.” She shook her head in half-sleep. “But you have not hurt me. You aore not bad gawy” Alex laughed with a chuckle this time. Whatever it was, it felt strange in a good way. “Maybe I might hurt you in the future.” He was not lying, and he was sure of it because if he needed to hurt her for the benefit of the club, he would do without a moment of hesitant

“So– wee will meets in future?” She asked innocently and Alex realized he should stop talking because this situation was not normal. He was there just to spy on her not to let his heart thunder in his chest.

So, he didn't give her a reply and drove silently. She kept looking at her, asked some questions and when Alex didn't respond to them, she stopped talking. Even while she was drunk, the attitude stayed.

Alex stopped the car at a distance from her home. He sent a message to her father from her phone, telling him where she was. He left the car and just to double-check the safety, he walked to her door and checked if it was really locked; it wasn't necessary.

When Alex turned around, he heard a click. Ella opened the door and stepped out of the car “What izz yowr name?” Her voice was shivering and it wasn't because of alcohol but the weather. “If you know my name, you would be dead” his voice was raw but didn't affect her and she never stopped smiling “It'z okaay. My father wowld save meh” Even when she was drunk her words were firm with confidence. Their bond was actually like he had searched. And Alex just had to break the confidence and her father “Your father is the one I want to kill, Princess” he smirked. Her smile was gone, and she appeared afraid. “Hah? What do you mean?” Alex wanted to walk away because David would be here any time but he could not leave her when she was shivering this badly.

Alex removed his jacket. He cursed at himself for wearing this jacket tonight. It was a crocodile leather jacket, precious to his heart and the single one to exist.

He put the jacket over her naked arms, she held it as if she needed it for long.

The moment he was done, he heard the voice of steps. Alex ran in the opposite direction “Where are you goin?” He ignored her yell and disappeared into the nearby bushes.

That wasn't how Alex had always been. This wasn't how he worked on his task. He was careless and if he had stayed there for another moment, he would have failed the mission even before he started

“Dad! I am heree” Ella yelled as she waved her hand and after a moment he came into view. This was the first time Alex was seeing David Harrison in real life.

He burned at the sight of him. This was the person who had been working against Eclipse for two years. He has pieces of evidence against the club. Something that could destroy them very easily.

He was a big threat to them and the club ordered two of his most reliable members to work together and kill him.
