The twins took Taehyung to a restaurant before he could even have time to refuse. Plus, they literally (Tae's overthinking) threatened him with the picture he took. It didn't need to be said directly with words for him to understand.

Jeon Jungkook

What would you do if people started looking at you as a pervert?

Jungkook asked with a smile.

Jeon Jungkook

You wouldn't want that, right?

Taehyung looked at his smile and gulped. This was a threat, right?

Jeon Jeongguk

Come on, Hyung.

Jeongguk placed his arms around Taehyung's neck.

Let's have a meal together and talk.

Kim Taehyung

T-talk? "Taehyung stuttered." We... We don't... "He kept blinking, feeling flustered." I don't t-think we have anything to talk about.

'We were all men too. People would definitely start talking if they saw us like this.'

He said and walked ahead of them but Jungkook caught his arm. Taehyung looked back at him to find him still smiling.

Jeon Jungkook

Not that way, Hyung. "He pointed at the back." It's over there.

Kim Taehyung

R-right. "Taehyung said."

Jeon Jeongguk

Come on, we'll lead you so you don't get lost. It's your first time here anyway.

Jeongguk added and Taehyung nodded.

They were nice in acting like we were okay but Taehyung couldn't stay comfortably around them, not after what happened.

But more importantly... Taehyung secretly glanced at them...

'They grew up so well.'

Taehyung remembered they used to be two gloomy kids who looked like they would have one expression all their lives.

Now, they were smiling so brightly that Taehyung couldn't help but feel mesmerized.

'After 'that' happened, they must've lived in a nice environment. They must've been showered with the love that their father never gave them. They must've been happy.'

Taehyung clutched his chest. He really hope that was the case. 'Yes, that had to be the case,' Taehyung thought seeing how happy and bright they were.

Jeon Jungkook

Here, eat this, Hyung.

Jungkook said, pushing his neatly cut steak over to Taehyung's side and taking his in return.

Jeon Jungkook

Try it, it's really good.

Taehyung looked at their eager expressions as they waited for him to take a bite.

Taehyung's conflicted mind wanted to refuse their hospitality but his stomach took the lead in this decision. He was so hungry.

He picked up the fork and took a bite. The steak melted in his mouth immediately, leaving a sweet and spicy taste lingering at the tip of his tongue.

It was so good.

And before he knew it, he was stuffing his face like a person who hadn't eaten in days.

The twins stared at Taehyung in delight as they watched him devour the food in satisfaction. They looked like they were enjoying the sight of Taehyung stuffing his face with the food they ordered.

After the steak, was the dessert cake which looked absolutely pleasing to Taehyung's eyes and tasted heavenly in his mouth.

Taehyung sees them watch him happily as he ate made him a bit uncomfortable. Luckily, he was able to stomach it all without getting indigestion.

After stuffing his face, Taehyung said,

Kim Taehyung

Thank you for the meal. "Taehyung glanced at them and lowered his head." I'll pay for...

Waitress

Here's the receipt.

The waiter's voice interrupted Taehyung's statement and he saw her passing on a receipt towards Jungkook.

She had a red blush on her cheek as she stared at the two identical handsome men.

Jeon Jungkook

You were saying, Hyung?

Jungkook asked after taking the receipt.

Kim Taehyung

'When did they have time to pay for the meal?'

Kim Taehyung

'I must've been too busy stuffing my face to notice.'

How was he going to pay them back for the meal?

He didn't need to see the check to know that the meal was expensive...

'Ugh, and I was so low on cash.'

Is there anything else you'd like to eat? "Jungkook suddenly asked."

Jungkook asked as Taehyung slowly sat back down.

Do you know how much we wanted to see you after then? "He asked." It broke our hearts that we couldn't even say goodbye.

Taehyung heard that and gritted his teeth.

Kim Taehyung

'Why was he talking like that? It wasn't their fault. It was...'

Taehyung raised his head and stared at Jungkook's face. His eyes looked sad. Taehyung turned his gaze to Jeongguk, who had the same expression. It was as if Taehyung had hurt them.

Taehyung said and their expressions flinched.

They almost faltered but kept their expressions as they were.

Jeon Jungkook
