Chapter Five.

Dael and Janelle walked together into the school. She was a head turner, so many boys stared. She did not care as she was there for Dael and his family's sake.

As Dael led her to her locker, someone blocked their way. It was a blonde boy with a narcissistic smile.

"Well Dael," the boy said "you didn't tell me you had such a pretty friend."

"Leave her alone."Dael replied with obvious dislike, "You already have girlfriends."

"There's always room for more." Ken responded. He addressed Janelle "Hey hottie, would you like me to be your tour guide?"

"No" Janelle replied simply. Dael did not like this guy, so she didn't also.

    Her frankness shocked Ken.

"Hey, you can't just say no! Do you know who I am?"

    She leaned towards Dael.

    "Who is he?" she asked.

"He's prince hottie of the school." Dael replied sarcastically.

She said to Ken "Sorry," she did not look sorry, "I've already booked Dael."

She grabbed Dael's hand and left, leaving Ken shocked and angry.

You see one thing about Janelle was the fact that she immediately disliked whoever disliked Dael. That was even one of the reasons for the fallout with her sisters.

...----------------...

In an empty classroom, Janelle finally let go of Dael. He burst into laughter.

"Did you see his face?!" he said amidst the laughter. "I bet he really did not expect you to turn him down like that."

Janelle smiled on seeing him laugh. You really don't like him, do you?" she asked.

"Of course not! He's a womaniser and a playboy. I don't like people like that."

"Then maybe we should teach him a lesson."

Dael's gaze went sharply to her.

"Nothing fatal of course" she clarified.

    He smiled tenderly at her.

"Nah, don't get your nose into his business. Just focus on making friends and enjoying this school."

    "I doubt it."

...----------------...

That day, though they were in the same class, Jean and Janelle avoided each other. Mutual understanding.

...----------------...

A girl sat lazily on her throne-like armchair. She was about 16, with black hair and black eyes. Short and beautiful.

Standing before her in the sparsely furnished, yet expensive looking and darkened room were four men dressed in black suits. She looked bored with them, and her child-like face was dull with unamusement.

The spokesman, who looked to be in his early forties, said "Miss Mitchel, we've received word that your former colleagues have registered into a school. It might be for undercover purposes, but it seems odd that they should go undercover in the same place."

Finally, news that interested her. She smiled.

"Okay then, I'll be registered in that school." she announced.

    The men looked quite alarmed.

"But Miss, you have other very important businesses to attend to!" argued the spokesman.

    Mitchel glared at him.

    He was frightened and apologized.

"I'm sorry milady. We'll make arrangements immediately."

    "Good, now leave." she ordered.

When the men left the room, Mitchel smiled to herself.

"So the Jays have finally decided to do something new." she mused "Fun! I think this would be very interesting."

Not part of the story.

So while trying to decide on the cover for this book, I asked ai for ideas. I'm not really going to use the picture, except as profile pics, so I'll put a few at the end of each chapter. Let's go:

I kinda like this last one, but not as a cover of my book, I just feel I might write a book based on the characters on this cover.

For the final picture

I don't know how this looks like an assassin, but cute
