Seraphina (tracing the glowing pendant around her neck): It’s quiet tonight. Too quiet.

Lady Mirelle (whispering nervously): Everyone is tense, my Lady.

The servants say you disturbed the old magic.

That you woke something in the catacombs.

Seraphina (smiling faintly): They’re not wrong. But I’m not afraid of what I woke.

Then what *are* you afraid of?

**Seraphina (whispers):**

Failing him.

Again.

**Seraphina (shocked):**

You *do* remember.

**Kaelrith:**

Only pieces.

Flashes, when I look at you.

Pain. Betrayal.

And yet… I always feel drawn to you.

**Seraphina:**

Because we were *meant* to find each other again.

But not to fail this time.

Stay behind me.

Not this time. I go with you.

**Kaelrith (shouting over the chaos):**

The barrier is breaking.

Someone’s trying to summon what lies beneath.

**Seraphina:**

Then we stop them.

Together.

**[They reach the highest chamber—inside, a cloaked figure stands at a glowing circle, ancient runes pulsing red.]**

**Unknown Sorcerer:**

You’re too late.

The bloodline of shadows ends *tonight*.

**Kaelrith (coldly):**

You dare threaten me in my own home?

**Sorcerer:**

Not *you*.

*Her.*

**[Suddenly, the runes lash out toward Seraphina. She raises the pendant—instinctively channeling magic.]**

Seraphina:Ignis Aeternum!

[A blast of white fire erupts from her hand, canceling the spell mid-cast. The cloaked figure recoils, screaming.]

kaelrith (stunned): You used spellfire… That magic is lost.

Seraphina: Not lost. Buried. Like everything else they tried to erase.

[The Sorcerer collapses—the runes on the ground fade. Silence falls.]

Kaelrith:

Who are you, Seraphina?

Seraphina (turning to him):Your fate. And your second chance.

[Later – Castle Rooftop – Stars stretch endlessly above them]

Kaelrith (staring into the night): You changed something down there. The wards are stronger now. Even the spirits are quiet.

Seraphina (sitting beside him):I felt it too. Like something inside me clicked. Like I’ve been wearing a mask my whole life… and I finally took it off.

Kaelrith: You’re not the girl they sent to spy on me. You never were.

Seraphina: I was. In my first life.

Kaelrith (looks at her sharply): You were the betrayer?

Seraphina (nodding): Yes. But I didn’t know what I was doing then.

I believed lies… trusted the wrong people.

Kaelrith: So what changed?

Seraphina: Death. And the gods giving me a second chance. To right what I ruined.

Kaelrith: And what if fate still wants me dead?

Seraphina (softly):

Then fate will have to fight me.

[A pause. Then Kaelrith turns, brushing a strand of hair from her face.)

Kaelrith (quietly): You’ve become dangerous. To my enemies… And to my walls.

Seraphina: Then let them fall.

Kaelrith (leaning closer): You don’t know what you’re inviting.

Seraphina (holding his gaze): Yes. I do.

[Their lips meet—tentative at first, then deepening as heat rises. A pulse of energy swells between them—the pendant glows.]

Kaelrith (pulling back, breathless): You’re mine now. Whether the gods planned it or not.

Seraphina (smiling): Good. Because I already chose you.

(Hidden Room – Below Kaelrith’s Chamber – A Pair of Hooded Figures]

Unknown Figure 1: The bond is awakened. The prophecy has begun.

Unknown Figure 2: Then the war cannot be stopped. The Phoenix and the Shadow King rise again.
