Plight from the Portal

Not too long after the white light dispersed, I see an endless kaleidoscopic view. Coal was nowhere in sight. How did we get separated? He was just–

The memories of what happened in the loo came rushing in.

THAT INSUFFERABLE–

I didn't have time to put on a dress when he came in. I'm barely covered by nothing else other than this flimsy towel.

Worst of all, THAT JERK forced a kiss on me without regard for my feelings!

My first kiss was taken in such an abrupt time. What infuriates me more is that even under those circumstances, I felt pleasure from it. I can still feel that weird sensation on my lips. He must have had a good reason for doing it.

"Ugh! Shame on you, Aria." I scolded myself for trying to be reasonable.

But truth be told, I really want an explanation from him. I am gonna let him have a piece of my mind. Where is he though?

Even if I feel conflicted about what the man did, I can't seem to shrug my trust on him. Great... You just knew the guy for like what– a few minutes and now you have that crazy feeling. What twisted logic!

While I was lost in my thoughts, I start to hear the music of the "Queen of the Night" once more. Only this time, a woman's voice sing the aria.

Too soon after, I hear clinking sounds. Numerous glass-like chains start to appear and bind me from my neck to my feet. The chains start to feel icy cold and they are squeezing me tighter.

The air becomes heavier by the minute. I'm suffocating while in excruciating pain.

My tears from the pain float about.

Slowly, the chains pull me from all directions. I feel like my limbs are gonna be torn apart from my body.

While I am already in horrifying state, a cacophony of screaming voices ring in my head. Spots of scarlet red start to scatter around me.

I tried to scream but no voice comes out of my mouth. Oh no!

Please. Please. Please!

I tried again but it still won't come out.

Pleeeease!

No voice still.

HEEEEEEEEELP!

The scream is only in my head.

Suffering from extreme pain I am heavily exhausted. I know my consciousness will soon cease.

Please...

SAVE ME...

I started to feel cold and numb. I am almost at my limit and my vision is slowly fading.

I draw my last breath calling his name.

COAL.

Suddenly, my surroundings start to heat up fast. I heard cracking sounds. The colorful void shatter into pieces and instantly, all the chains break.

A strong floral scent and petals of deep red came in a blizzard. The rose petals then formed a spiral and a force inside draws me in. A man's voice echoes. He is calling me. More like... he's screaming my name!

I moved my arm and tried to reach out desperately. As soon as my arm stretched out towards the middle of that spiral, a portal opened and I saw Coal.

The moment he saw me reaching out, he pulled me swiftly. We both fell to the floor and I land on top of him.

"Oof!" He exclaimed in pain.

I must've fell hard on him.

"Sorry." I said this in a weak, shaky voice.

Despite the awkward position we are in, I did not move an inch. I am still gasping for air. My whole body trembles. My vision is blurry from the tears on my eyes. I was scared out of my wits.

A few minutes after, he spoke.

Can you please get off of me?

Absentmindedly, I nod and comply.

Coal sits up. He looks away and crossed his arms the same way he did with his legs.

"Well, that's what happens when you push me away upon opening the portal." he said this nonchalantly.

slap*

I couldn't help myself that instant my rage shoot up.

"After saving you– this... is how you repay me?" Coal said in a low voice sounding displeased.

My tears fell down like rain.

"You have disrespected me enormously. I chose to place my trust on you despite the fact that you were a stranger. You did a lot of absurd things whilst ignoring my feelings towards them. You DARE mock me on a little mistake I had when it was a result of shock?"

Coal looked at me. His eyes widen.

I went on with my words.

"DID YOU KNOW THE THINGS I WENT THROUGH IN THAT HORRID PLACE?

NO. I don't think so.

You didn't even try to know or ask about it."

"I'm sorry."

Coal's face turned apologetic . He moved closer and frantically scanned my body.

I continued to rant.

I ENDURED EXTREME AMOUNT OF PAIN SO UNEXPECTEDLY!

I WAS DYING... DYING IN THERE!

With nothing to help myself with.

Desperately calling for someone who–"

He cut me off with a hug.

"I'm sorry. I am so sorry. I hardly knew. I will not do it again."

Coal's body was so warm. His arms tightly wrapped around me felt so comforting. My tears continue to fall and dampened his shirt. He didn't seem to mind.

"I'll have you know, I am not good in dealing with others. Most zemes find my company unpleasant too. But..." he patted my head. I will do my best to not cause you distress."

I gently pulled away from his clasp and looked him in the eye.

"I'm sorry for hitting you..." I said this while wiping my tears.

"... and thank you." smiling at him this time.

And just when the situation started to be pleasing, my loosened towel fell so suddenly.

I'm pretty sure Coal caught a glimpse of my ***** body. His blushing face made it so obvious.

"WHAT IN THE WORLD HAPPENED?!"
