[Scene opens — Aeryn sits alone in his childhood bedroom, surrounded by dust-covered furniture and fading photos. He holds a wedding invitation with shaking hands.]

(voiceover): He never even told me. Not a word about the wedding… Not a damn thing about marrying him.

[Flashback — Two years ago. Bright, floral wedding venue. Caelan stands beside Vaelran, eyes hollow despite the smiles around them.]

Guests whispering:"Minister Vaelran and the youngest sulvian— what a power couple!" "Such a shame it’s a rushed wedding…"

[Aeryn (present) flips the invitation. Scribbled on the back: a short note in Caelan’s handwriting.]

“You once told me to fight for myself. I’m sorry I couldn’t. Maybe this is me trying in a different way.”

[Cut to Aeryn storming through the city courthouse, Damon beside him.]

(grim): "I want access to all records from Caelan’s marriage. Medical, financial, surveillance. If it happened, I want it."

DAMON

(quietly): "You sure you want to see all this? It might break you."

aeryn sulvian (mc)(RO)

(cold smile): "Good. Then I’ll know how it felt for him."

[Flashback again — Wedding night. Vaelran and Caelan in a lavish hotel suite.]

vaelran

(softly): "You’re mine now. That’s all that matters."

caelan sulvian(mc's brother(O)

(strained smile): "I always was, wasn’t I?"

[He turns away. A camera in the corner silently blinks red — it’s recording.]

[Present — Aeryn plays old footage in a dim room.] He watches his brother wince as Vaelran grips his wrist too hard. He watches Lucien appear later in the background, pouring champagne, smiling.

aeryn sulvian (mc)(RO)

(under breath): "You were both in on it…"

[Suddenly, Aeryn rushes to the bathroom, throws water on his face, breathing heavily.]

aeryn sulvian (mc)(RO)

(to his reflection): "This wasn’t just abuse. It was control. A setup. And I’m going to end it."

[Scene shift — Aeryn meets with a secret informant in a shadowy alley.]

any male

Informant (passing USB drive): "You didn’t get this from me. But your brother was in love… With someone else. Before the wedding."

aeryn sulvian (mc)(RO)

(confused): "What?"

any male

(vanishing into the crowd): "Check the hospital records. Room 12-B. March 8th, five years ago."
