02

Taehyung stayed in his room till evening, he was too nervous and scared to just roam around the big and lavish mansion the same day he arrived, his meals were brought to his room by mariya cause no other maid was allowed.

The sun began to set down and Taehyung's nervousness began to increase, the horns of cars came from the campus of the mansion making him know people are coming back in the mansion. One after another many cars drove in, fortunately there was a window in his room that had the view of campus, he peeked out seeing every car driving inside.

Until he saw a black Mercedes driving inside, a guard rushed over and pulled the door open, all the people around bowed 90° as the male stepped down, his back was turned to the window that didn't get TAE see the male's face. But the way everyone bowed to him and he with a straight posture just walked inside made Taehyung know he was none other than sir Jeon. Tae walked inside and sat on the bed, his heart beating rapidly in his chest, legs tapping on the floor out of anxiety, lips getting dry, and he gulped hard every second.

A soft knock on his door made him flinch, he inhaled a deep breath and walked over to the door pulling it open just to see Maria standing outside.

"Sir Jeon is back, and he wants you to be present in his room within 15 minutes." Mariya informed TAE nodded slightly.

Taehyung closed the door slowly, his palm resting on the wooden surface for a second longer than necessary, as if grounding himself. His breaths came out shallow, nerves crawling up his spine like cold fingers. Fifteen minutes. That was all the time he had to prepare himself to stand in front of the man who had turned his life upside down.

His hands trembled slightly as he reached for the bottle of water on the side table. He took a few sips, hoping to soothe the dryness in his throat. He paced the room, not knowing whether he should change clothes, sit down, or just breathe. But every passing second brought him closer to the moment he had dreaded all day.

He finally settled on fixing his hair and straightening his clothes — a simple, soft beige sweater and cream pants Mariya had given him earlier. He glanced at his reflection in the mirror. Pale. Eyes wide. Fragile. He didn't recognize himself.

A soft chime from the hallway clock echoed faintly through the silence. It was time.

With hesitant steps, Taehyung opened the door and stepped out. The corridor was dimly lit, the long carpet muffling his footsteps. He saw Mariya waiting near the stairs and she gave him a nod, silently guiding him through the maze-like corridors of the mansion.

The closer they got to Jeon’s wing, the colder the air felt. Not literally — the temperature hadn’t changed — but there was something heavy, something dense in the atmosphere. A tension that clung to the walls and crept into his bones.

Finally, Mariya stopped in front of a tall, double-door room made of dark polished wood.

“He’s inside,” she whispered, avoiding eye contact. “Go in. Don’t make him wait.”

Taehyung hesitated. He swallowed hard, then reached out and pushed one of the doors open.

The room was large, yet minimalistic. Sleek, elegant furniture. A massive bookshelf covered one side of the wall, and deep maroon curtains draped over the tall windows. The scent of expensive cologne and aged leather filled the space.

And there he stood.

Sir Jeon Jungkook.

Facing the window with a glass of whiskey in one hand, his tall frame silhouetted by the evening light pouring in through the sheer curtains. The tension in the air thickened the moment Taehyung stepped inside.

Jungkook didn’t turn around immediately. He sipped his drink slowly.

“You’re late,” he finally said, voice low, calm, and spine-chillingly controlled.

Taehyung's fingers curled into his palms. “I— I came as soon as Mariya—”

“Doesn’t matter.” Jungkook finally turned to face him.

Taehyung froze.

It was the first time he saw him— Sir Jeon. His dark eyes unreadable, his presence magnetic and dangerous. He was beautiful — but not in the way that comforted you. No. His beauty unsettled. Pierced. Controlled.

“You’re here now,” Jungkook said, stepping closer, gaze sharp like a blade. “That’s what matters.”

Taehyung opened his mouth to speak, but no words came. His throat closed up. He could barely breathe under that gaze.

Jungkook stopped just a few feet in front of him. He didn’t touch him. Didn’t smile. Didn’t blink.

“Do you know why I called you here?” he asked, voice so quiet it made Taehyung’s stomach twist.

Taehyung slowly shook his head, eyes wide.

Jungkook leaned in slightly, enough that Taehyung could feel the heat radiating off his body.

“To remind you,” he whispered, “that from this moment on... everything you do, everywhere you go, and every breath you take—”

His hand lifted slowly, and he gently brushed a loose strand of hair behind Taehyung’s ear, his touch deceptively soft.

“—belongs to me.”

Taehyung’s breath hitched.

He was trapped — not by walls, but by that gaze, that presence. That terrifying softness wrapped in steel.

And Jeon Jungkook just smirked, stepping back.

“You may go now,” he said, walking back to his desk without another glance.

Taehyung turned on shaky legs, heart hammering as he left the room, Jungkook’s words echoing in his mind with every step he took.

Everything you do… belongs to me.
