Office Desire: Trapped with Mr. Jeon
Guri sat at her desk, still surrounded by the fresh flowers Mr. Jeon had sent. Their fragrance filled the air, making it impossible to forget what had happened earlier. Her heart raced whenever she thought about his words:
"I always get what I want, Guri."
She tried to shake off the strange warmth spreading through her chest and focused on her work. But fate had other plans.
"Miss Guri, Mr. Jeon wants you in his cabin," a staff member informed her.
She inhaled deeply, stood up, and walked to his office, her heels clicking against the floor. As she entered, she saw Mr. Jeon sitting at his desk, flipping through some files. He looked up, his sharp eyes locking onto hers.
"Close the door," he ordered.
Her fingers trembled slightly as she obeyed.
"Sit," he gestured to the chair in front of him.
She hesitated but sat down, trying to maintain a professional expression.
"I have an important business event tonight," he said, leaning back in his chair. "You’ll accompany me."
Her eyes widened. "Me? But why? I mean… isn’t that something personal?"
His lips curled into a smirk. "You’re my personal assistant. And I want you there."
Guri clenched her fists under the table. "But I don't even have anything appropriate to wear—"
Before she could finish, he slid a black invitation card across the desk. "That’s already taken care of. A dress will be delivered to your home. Be ready by 7 PM. I’ll pick you up."
She stared at the invitation in disbelief. "You planned this, didn’t you?"
He leaned forward, his intense gaze piercing through her. "I told you, Guri… I always get what I want."
Her breath hitched.
As she left his cabin, her mind was in turmoil. Why did it feel like she was stepping into something dangerous? Something she might not be able to escape from?
########
Guri stood in Mr. Jeon’s office, organizing some files on his desk. The room was silent except for the ticking of the clock and the occasional flipping of pages. Mr. Jeon sat in his chair, watching her every movement. His intense gaze made her nervous, but she pretended not to notice.
As she placed a document in front of him, their hands accidentally touched. A jolt of electricity ran through her body, and she quickly pulled her hand back. Mr. Jeon, however, didn’t move. Instead, he reached out, gently grabbing her wrist.
“You always avoid my touch, Guri,” he said, his deep voice sending shivers down her spine.
“I-I don’t,” she stammered, trying to pull away, but he tightened his grip just enough to stop her without hurting her.
His thumb slowly traced circles on her wrist before he finally let go. Guri swallowed hard, her heart racing. She was about to step back when Mr. Jeon suddenly stood up, closing the distance between them.
Her breath hitched as she felt the warmth of his body near hers. “You always act strong, but I know you feel the same,” he whispered, his lips just inches from her ear.
Guri’s eyes widened as he gently tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, his fingers lingering against her skin. Her body betrayed her as she leaned into his touch.
Just then, a knock on the door snapped them out of their moment. Guri quickly stepped back, her face flushed. Mr. Jeon clenched his jaw in frustration before sitting back down.
“Come in,” he said coldly.
A staff member entered, handing him some files. Guri used the opportunity to escape, rushing to her desk. She touched her wrist where he had held her, her heart still pounding.
What was happening to her? And why did she feel like she was falling even harder for him?
