Chapter 5: Unforeseen Encounters

Liora went to the girls to explain who she was. Ethan approached her and said, "Thanks for the coffee," before heading inside. The two sisters then introduced themselves. "I'm Emily," said the younger one. "And I'm Sophia," said the older one.

Aria also arrived shortly after Liora called her to bring some clothes for a change. Liora quickly went to take a bath and, feeling refreshed, came out to call everyone for breakfast. She saw Ethan and called Asher to come and have breakfast as well. Asher nodded, and Ethan joined them after his morning routine.

As everyone gathered around the breakfast table, Liora started the conversation. "In four days, there's an important event," she began. "I was hoping Asher could come with us. It's a five-day trip."

Asher shook his head. "It's okay. I'll stay behind," he said.

But Liora and Aria were persistent. "Please, can he come with us?" they asked his father.

Lucian and Julian chimed in. "It's fine. He should go," they said, supporting the idea.

Ethan and Daniel, their father, nodded in agreement. "Alright, Asher can go," Daniel said.

The conversation shifted as Sophia asked, "Are you okay? And what happened on graduation day?"

Lucian and Asher exchanged glances, knowing they were the only ones aware of the full details. As breakfast continued, they explained the incident, and everyone listened attentively, shocked but understanding.

By the time they finished breakfast, it was past 8:30. Everyone started to say their goodbyes to head off to college. Ethan offered to drop them off. "I'll drive you to college," he said.

The three of them nodded in agreement. Aria noticed Liora wasn't wearing her sun-protective dress. "You forgot your sun-protective dress," she pointed out.

Liora smiled and replied, "It's okay. I don't need it anymore."

Aria insisted, "At least wear the face cover." Liora sighed but agreed, and both of them put on their face covers.

They all got into the car, and Ethan drove them to college. The drive was filled with light-hearted chatter and laughter, making the journey pleasant. As Ethan glanced at Liora through the rearview mirror, he remembered seeing her as a regular customer. He couldn't help but smile at the realization.

As they neared the college, Liora felt a mix of excitement and contentment, knowing she was surrounded by supportive friends. Ethan dropped them off, and they walked toward the entrance.

Before they got out of the car, Aria reminded Liora to keep the face cover on until they reached the classroom. "Just to be safe," she said. Liora nodded, appreciating her friend's concern.

As they walked through the college campus, they noticed curious glances from other students. Liora felt a bit self-conscious but kept her head held high, knowing she had her friends with her. Once they reached the classroom, she removed the face cover and took a deep breath.

Throughout the day, Liora couldn't help but think about the upcoming event and the support she received from Asher's family. It was a comforting thought that kept her spirits high even during challenging moments in class.

During lunch, Aria and Liora sat together, discussing their plans for the event. "We need to make sure everything is ready," Aria said, jotting down notes in her planner.

Liora nodded. "We'll get everything done. I'm excited for this trip."

As the school day came to an end, they met Asher at the front gate. Ethan was waiting for them, leaning against the car. "Ready to go?" he asked, opening the car door.
