Hanna is staring at me, her mouth agape.

I guess the college cafeteria isn't the ideal place to tell her about my pregnancy.

"Pregnant?!" I nod "What the hell, you're so unlucky!"

"That's life, right?" I shrug "Everyone who has sex has to be aware that they can get pregnant at some point. The condom broke and even with the morning-after pill it wasn't enough... There's no contraceptive method that's one hundred percent safe!"

"Which is unfair! I want to cum, not get pregnant. There should be a way to choose, like"today I want an orgasm"or"today I want to get pregnant.

"Well, it's done now! I can't go back in time and not go to that idiot's damn office!"

"You can get rid of the baby!" I stare at her "It's the USA, it's legal, friend, we're in the United States!... We find a clinic and that's it, bye-bye baby..."

"Hanna..."

"You're only 19! And his father is an idiot who can't even be polite to you, and most importantly, your dad is going to freak out, he won't like the idea of being a grandfather so soon."

"You know I'm super pro-choice, but I'm not going to abort the baby... I can't do it."

"You're destroying your future, girl. A baby is no joke."

"There are many women who became young mothers and are amazing!"

"The choice is yours!"

"Well... I'm going in or I'll be late for my first class."

"Sure, but think carefully about this."

"Okay!"

On one hand, Alina wants to be the godmother, and on the other, Hanna wants me to have an abortion. And I'm in the middle of it all, wanting to lie in the fetal position and cry like a baby.

If things are bad for you, imagine for me! Some crazy woman I only recently found out works at the company I inherited tells me she's pregnant and I'm the father!

"Pregnant?" Jack asks, startled.

"That's what that crazy woman says, but it's not true." I dismiss it.

"Well, the test was positive and the timing matches, plus you can see the little bean on the ultrasound." he waves the small photo.

"It must be someone else's, the girl's trying to pull a scam!"

"Get a grip, you idiot!" I stare at the short blonde behind me.

My sister.

"What is it, Emma?" She turns the security camera image towards me, frozen on the photo of my supposed child's mother sitting at the nightclub bar.

"Grace Miller! I know her, she goes to college with a friend of mine. Johan, he's told me about her, actually, he talks about her all the time."

"Just because she's a friend of a friend, she's no longer a scammer?"

"She's the daughter of one of the most important judges in the country, her mother was a super famous businesswoman who died and left her inheritance to her daughter. She's filthy rich and still works! She doesn't need to scam you for anything!"

"Jack!" I call "Call the clinic and tell them we need an appointment for today."

"They said they only have openings two days from now."

"Figure something out, but I want to do this test as soon as possible!"

I turn to look at a notification on my phone. I asked the guys to send me the security camera footage from the pharmacy where she bought the pill. I watch the video with Emma, who has a huge grin on her face. The video shows Grace buying the pill, and as soon as the purchase is made, she takes the pill right there in the pharmacy with a cup of water the lady gives her.

"See! I told you she doesn't need to scam anyone!" Emma mocks me.

That's all I needed, that crazy woman is really pregnant with my child. I'm not that unlucky, am I?

"I'm already fanficcing!" Emma starts "Son of a CEO who messes with shady stuff and grandson of a judge. Poor kid, good thing his parents have money to pay for good therapy. I hope Grace has therapy too!..."

"Until that damn test comes out, I don't have any child, period!"

"And if it really is yours?" Jack asks "How will you deal with it? A baby now..."

"I don't know, I'm not going to worry about the problem until it affects me!"

"Wow, little brother! It's so disgusting for you to call your own child a problem. Well, at least he'll have one decent aunt."

She gets up and comes to my desk, picking up the paper with Grace's number.

"What are you going to do?" I ask suspiciously.

"Show that not all of the baby's paternal family is going to be scummy!" she leaves my office.

Emma Davis, always sticking her nose where it doesn't belong, the girl is so meddlesome it's concerning.

"What the fuck! Jack, I want a complete dossier on this Grace Miller. I need to know everything about her."

"Or you could sit down and talk to the mother of your child, that's what normal people usually do."

"We still don't know if it's my child... People lie, I want to know the truth!"

"Okay! I'll take care of that and the test."
