Taehyung awoke to the sound of someone humming. It wasn’t a soft, pleasant hum it was deep, lazy, and annoyingly confident.

Taehyung woke up feeling miserable.

His first night as Duchess Jeon had been nothing short of a disaster. He had spent the entire night locked in the bathroom, refusing to come out while Jungkook laughed himself to sleep in their shared bedroom.

Now, as morning sunlight streamed through the large palace windows, Taehyung realized something he was stuck here.

No matter how much he hated it, he was officially married to the most reckless, shameless man in the Empire.

And speaking of that shameless man…

His eyes fluttered open, and the first thing he saw after coming out of the bathroom was Jungkook.

The Duke stood near the open balcony, shirtless, his well-defined muscles bathed in the morning sunlight. His long hair was slightly damp, and a towel hung around his neck as he sipped his wine yes, wine at this hour.

Taehyung stared at him, unimpressed.

Jungkook pretended to look thoughtful.

The sharp sound of Taehyung’s palm against Jungkook’s cheek echoed in the room.

For a moment, there was silence.

Taehyung’s chest rose and fell, eyes blazing.

Jungkook slowly turned back to face him.

And then—he smirked.

Instead, he took a deep breath and turned away.

Taehyung grabbed the nearest pillow and threw it at Jungkook’s head.

Few minutes later.

Jungkook was standing shirtless in front of the mirror, adjusting his cravat with an infuriatingly smug expression for breakfast meanwhile Tae came out after a bath.

And Listen Here, This marriage may be forced, but let’s be clear, you do not wake up next to me. You gonna sleep on that cursed couch. (Taehyung crossed his arms)

Jungkook walked toward him, smirk still firmly in place.

Oh, but last night I almost considered sneaking into bathroom. You look rather peaceful when you sleep, you know. 😏

And he tore that cloth.

The sound echoed in the room.

A tense silence followed.

Taehyung’s heartbeat pounded. He expected Jungkook to snap, to yell, to throw something. But instead, the Duke tilted his head, slowly turning back to face him.

And then…

Jk LAUGHED!!

AH~ WOOWW!! My WIFE!! You are damn Strong!! (Saying so he clapped his hand)

Taehyung’s breath hitched. His entire face burned in disbelief.
