Episode 5

Sienna sat alone in the museum, her fingers brushing the edges of the old book on her desk. The air felt heavier than before, as if the walls themselves were pressing in. Every instinct told her to leave—to shove the book back into the archives and pretend none of this had ever happened.
But she couldn’t.
Draven had asked for it. He had vanished into thin air. And now, the book was whispering secrets she wasn’t sure she wanted to know.
She flipped open the cover again, tracing the intricate handwriting. The ink, though faded, still carried a strange weight to it.

"Bound by blood. Bound by oath. Forever in shadow."
And then—
A name.
Sienna Ardent
Sienna Ardent
Draven!
Her stomach twisted into knots.
She turned the page, and a strange symbol stared back at her. It looked like a crest, circular, with jagged lines that almost resembled fangs. Beneath it, there was another phrase written in Latin:
Sienna Ardent
Sienna Ardent
"Sanguis vocat. Vinculum aeternum."
Sienna’s Latin was rusty, but she recognized enough to piece it together.

"The blood calls. The bond is eternal."
She swallowed hard. This wasn’t just an old book. This was a warning.
A sudden noise shattered the silence—a faint thud from deeper in the museum.
Sienna’s head snapped up, her pulse spiking. She wasn’t alone.
Forcing herself to move, she slowly rose from her chair, clutching the book tightly to her chest. She turned toward the sound, her eyes scanning the darkened hall. The museum was supposed to be empty. She had locked the doors after closing. And yet… Another noise. A whisper of movement, like fabric brushing against stone.

Draven? (she called softly)
No answer.
Her breath came faster now. She took a hesitant step forward, her fingers tightening around the book’s cover. The shadows in the corners of the museum seemed to stretch, deepening unnaturally. A cold gust of air blew through the room, but the windows were shut. Her heart pounded.
"You are not ready yet… but soon, you will be."
The voice—right behind her. She spun around, but there was nothing. Just empty space, the echoes of the museum settling.

"No,"( she whispered) "No, no, no—"
She wasn’t imagining this.
The museum lights flickered again. Her hands shook as she backed away from the desk, her mind racing. This wasn’t just some forgotten book. This wasn’t just some man who had shown up out of nowhere. Draven. The book. The words written inside. They were all connected. And now, she was part of it. Sienna grabbed her bag and shoved the book inside. She didn’t know what was happening, but she wasn’t about to sit here and find out. She turned on her heel, hurrying toward the front doors— Only to stop dead in her tracks.
The museum doors, which had been locked minutes ago, were wide open.
A breath of icy wind swept in, carrying with it the faintest trace of something metallic—like iron. Like blood.
Sienna’s entire body went rigid.
Something was waiting for her outside. And deep down, she had a terrible feeling it had been waiting for a very, very long time. ---
