Jk got inside the mansion and found Namjoon and Jin sitting at the dining table with hurt expressions but still smiling to welcome him.

Jk bowed to them with an expressionless face.

AUTHOR POOKIE POV: One thing about Jungkook was not matching his face with his eyes, which were showing how confused he was.

He wanted to say sorry to Jin but wasn’t able to.

Tae came in after a few minutes and saw Jin welcoming Jk with a smile. He asked, “Hyung, why are you still awake? You should rest.”

Jin replied, “Tae, Kook, go and freshen up quickly and come back for dinner. I’m completely fine; no need for rest.”

Tae hummed, and Jk was walking to his room while Tae followed him like a lost puppy.

But Jk stopped in front of a particular room, looked back at Tae, and said, “Are you planning to be a stalker?” while staring at him.

“No, why would I be a stalker or even stalk someone?” Tae replied in an amused tone.

“Because you’re following me throughout the house,” Jk said with a frown.

“Ooh, I thought I’d help you find your room,” Tae said, showing his doe eyes.

“I know my hyung’s house,” Jk replied.

“But you’re standing in front of Yoongi hyung’s room,” Tae said with a frown.

Jk said, “Because you were stalk—oh, I mean following me.”

“I wasn’t stalking or following you; I just thought I’d help you,” Tae said with a pout, looking really cute and innocent.

Jk hummed in response and said, “Thank you for the help,” with a poker face, but his eyes were expressing something else, like he wanted to stand there for few more minutes and admire the innocent baby face.

Tae got happy when Jk thanked him. He beamed a boxy smile and said, “Mention not! Come downstairs for dinner.” After saying that, Tae left for his room.

Jk entered his room and lay on the bed, feeling a little different, and closed his eyes.

The first thing he remembered was Tae, but he wasn’t accepting the fact that he was remembering him.

Suddenly, he recalled the incident that had happened a while ago.

He had said thanks for just a small thing; if someone else had done this for Jk, that person would have lost their job.

But when Tae did the same thing, he thanked him jokingly. Still, Jk felt a little sad for Jin and was in a dilemma about what to say to him.

He couldn’t see his hyung hurt, especially because of him. He sighed and thought to take a bath first and get ready for dinner.

AFTER 30 MINUTES

He got ready and was thinking about something when he suddenly heard a knock on the door. It was Tae.

Jk stared at him and asked, “What happened?”

Tae said, “Sir Jin hyung and Namjoon hyung are waiting for you.” Jk nodded and said, “You go ahead; I’ll come in a few seconds.” Tae nodded and left.

After a few minutes, Jk came towards the dining table and sat beside Namjoon.

Tae was going to serve, but Jin stopped him, saying, “You little being worked too much today, so let me serve.”

“I’m not a little being; I’m a full-fledged adult!” Tae said with a proud grin.

“Oh really? But it doesn’t seem like that,” Jin said sarcastically said while towering him (tae is 5’8 but he shorter than all the members except jimin as he’s the youngest).

Tae groaned in response, “Hyuunnngg!”

“Okay, okay, now sit and eat your food like a good boy.” Tae immediately sat down and ate his food quickly because it was really tasty.

“Slow down, boy,” Namjoon said.

“The food is sooo tasty; I can’t control myself!” Tae said while gulping down the whole soup in one go.

Jk smiled a little, which went unnoticed by everyone at the table.

After a while, Tae asked Jin, “Hyung, did you know Namjoon hyung has built a new hospital, and you’re the owner?”

“Oh, I know; I deserve it, but thank you,” Jin replied.

Tae giggled at the response and asked, “Aren’t you going on a date for that?”

“For what?” Namjoon asked.

“To celebrate! You know you should celebrate every little thing in life because it makes your inner child feel good, which eventually makes us feel good.”

Then Jin said "like you did when you win that free coupon of your favourite restaurant”

“it was one of my achievements” Tae replied Jk was listening to Tae’s words carefully and thinking deeply when suddenly Namjoon called Jk, breaking his chain of thoughts.

“Yes, hyung?” Jk asked.

Namjoon replied, “Tomorrow there’s a meeting at 9 in the morning at our secret base.”

“About what, hyung?” Jk asked with a frown.

Namjoon said, “There’s a certain person because of whom we’re facing losses, so it’s about that.

Jk hummed in response and started eating his food. It tasted like heaven, so he said, “The food is very good,” not in his cold tone but emotionlessly.

Jin and Namjoon looked at him, shocked, while Mr. Kim Taehyung got himself extra food and started devouring it (this boy’s life depends on food).

Jk looked at both of them and said, “What? I like the food, so I said it as I feel. And Jin hyung, can you please cook for me tomorrow as well?”

While eating, Namjoon’s mouth hung open in disbelief.

Tae said, “Hyung, close your mouth or a fly will steal you food.”

Namjoon closed his mouth and mumbled, “The great Jeon Jungkook compliments Jin’s food?

Lucky!” Jin heard and leaned close to Namjoon’s ear, saying, “I, Jin, worldwide handsome, deserve all the compliments in the world, okay? It’s the world that’s lucky to compliment me.”

Namjoon nodded, afraid his husband would make him sleep on the sofa.

“Sure, Kook, I’ll make it for you.”

After dinner, everyone went to their respective beds to sleep.
