William

Yunmei woke up feeling as if he has slept for so long.

It was 6 in the morning according to the clock on the wall. The last time that he remembered, he had a one night stand and was supposed to wake up next to the alpha in his underground brothel. But as he looked around his surroundings, he was back in his small, familiar apartment. It is just a bed, a closet and a kitchen and a bathroom with toilet inside. There were no fridge or any electronic devices aside from the heater, couches, tables, chairs and  anything that has sharp edges and things that he can use to climb on higher places. The knives and other utensils such as spoon, fork, and chopsticks, his sleeping pills and plastic cup was placed above the wall cabinet of the kitchen. A place where he cant reach and cant see immediately.

Yunmei got up and stared at the corner of the room, the CCTV is in red, meaning that it is on the whole time that he is sleeping in the room. He tried to search for his phone but he can't see it. Everything was in usual order except for the digital camera that was placed on the tripod, facing his bed. He was confused as to why there is a digital camera standing in the middle of the room. His eyes went beyond the camera and he saw that the three locks on his door were covered in blood. There was also fresh wounds at the tip of his fingers that are now wrapped in bandage. Just what the hell happened? He tried to remember how did he got this wound and why he is in his room but to no avail.

On his regular days, Yunmei often made sure that the grills and the window itself was locked tightly whenever he comes home. The 3 locks of the door are always placed securely to prevent him from going out in the middle of the night and the keys are supposed to be carried by Julie, his secretary. Then he takes his sleeping pills to make sure that his subconscious would not takeover his body. Because of his special condition, he has to take his own measures to make sure that his body is going to be safe all the time.

But today, it seems that there were lapses on his memory and there were things that he is seeing that he cant explain. This is the first time in a long while that he felt...lost.

Yunmei stood up from the bed and he felt his knees are weak and limbs are shaking from hunger. Was he asleep for so long that he did not eat? Why did no one wake him up?

He stared at the CCTV camera. He knows that Julie is always watching in the other room that Hunter has setup. He called it the control room. "Julie, open the door from the outside please. And bring me food when you come in here. I want you to explain why there is another camera and don't forget to bring my phone." He instructed her.

He went to the faucet and drank tap water from it. He is burning with curiosity now to know what exactly happened because he felt so thirsty and weak. It's like he was intentionally starved and deprived of water

He heard the speaker of the room being tapped open before Julie asked, "Sir, is that you?"

Yunmei washed his face getting a few strands of his silver hair wet in the process, without wiping his face off, he answered, "Yes, Yunmei is back."  Based on her question, something must have happened while he is asleep.

"What is the current year?" She followed up.

Yunmei answered "2020" then after a couple of minutes, Julie came in the room. He was surprised to see that Urek was tailing behind her as well. In her normal days, Julie was a stern beta that always looks presentable. It should be because she works as a receptionist from his brothel. She is an unregistered beta with an IQ score of 165. Yunmei, or rather, Hunter, found her while he is traveling from the south of Eurosia 10 years ago. She is his most trusted employee and he believes in her so much that he can entrust his special condition to her and the security facility of his tiny apartment.

On the other hand, he met Urek four years ago in 82nd street of Western Eurosia. He was new on this side of the country because of an assignment that Hunter received. Yunmei cant remember much from their encounter when Urek was still in medical school. But he saw a glimpse of him every now and then. That is how he had no choice but to trust a stranger. With that four years of them living together, he accidentally found out about his special condition.

Right now, the two people who knew his case looks more tired and haggard. Julie's brown hair is disheveled. There were scratches on her face and her busted lips looked like some days old. Her normally crisp, white blouse is wrinkly while she prepare the food on his bed. Urek still looked as fresh as before But his green hair was wild that it looks like he ran his hand through it often. He has dark circles under his eyes. The two of them looked tired and relieved at the same time when he told them that he is back

Upon smelling the food, Yunmei felt the hunger in his stomach and started to eat. "How long was I asleep?" He asked in a mouth full of food that he did not bother to look at, he just started eating.

Urek was checking the digital camera while he mumbled, "Good to see that you have started to eat."

"Sir." Julie said tiredly and seriously that Yunmei paused his eating for a while. Is it that serious? He asked himself.

"Sir. You are asleep for 3-days and 2 nights."

Yunmei hummed. "So, what did brother Hunter do? He did not feed this body?" That is so not like him.

"Sir...It was William. William was out the whole time."

Yunmei dropped his spoon as her words sunk in. It is really that serious!

Julie's memory went back and told Yunmei what happened 3-days ago after his one night stand with the alpha.

That morning, she called Yunmei's phone to wake him up before his guest. That was his habit. He wants to wake up before his customers so he can ask the kitchen to prepare food. He is supposed to take a shower and wait for the guest to wake up. But when the phone was answered, it was a complete silence. She did not hear his commanding voice on the other line. So she asked, "What kind of breakfast would you want to be sent, sir?"

After a while, she heard a simple, "Huh?" So she had to explained if he wants English breakfast, eastern, southern, etc. But the person on the other line was still confused that he just told her, "I don't want to eat. I am not eating anytime today." Then the call ended.

Yunmei would never say that. He and Hunter would eat meals 4 times a day on the same time! Her eyes widen upon realization on who might be conscious in his body right now. So she got the tablet of lorazepam that was with her all the time, intended to sedate him when something happens that she cannot control.

And true to her thoughts, she saw her boss, Yunmei, crawling on the dark floor of the brothel's hallway. She called the beta that was standing guard on the door for help, and together, they restrained him and went to the back door through the hallway. Yunmei was no longer in the surface of this body's mind because she has noticed his panic attack and the way he screams and cries as if he was being abducted. It always pained her heart to see her almighty boss being this down. So she has no choice but to sedate him while she drives back to his apartment.

"Stay here and pin him down. Do it gently!" She warned him. "Do you have a bottle of water?"

"Yes ma'am. Just by the door."

Julie went through the door to get the bottle of water that was half empty. Then she went back to the wailing body of Yunmei, dropped a tablet of lorazepam in her mouth together with water. She squeezed his cheeks to open his mouth and passed the tablet by kissing him, forcing him to take the tablet. She sat on the floor for a while after that, panting with the adrenaline that was coursing through her veins. After a while, she can see that Yunmei's body has calmed down.

Julie can see the male beta even in the dark. And right now, she can see the confusion and amazement as he stared at their boss. She stood up and carried her boss in her arms. "Don't look at boss as if he is some wild animal in the zoo." She gave him a warning glare. "There is nothing amazing with having multiple personality disorder. You should know that, given that you are hired by Hunter, one of the alters. So you know that you have to keep your mouth shut at all cost, right?"

The male beta snapped out of his amazement and nodded firmly, feeling apologetic. He never had the best of childhood growing up as he is an unregistered beta as well like all of master Yunmei's employee, but it may not be as severe has his boss' childhood that it would break his mind to pieces.

When Julie reached Yunmei's apartment on the 38th street which is a little bit close from the red district, Yunmei, or rather, William, started to move in consciousness. So she carried him on her back while running to the 3rd floor of the building. She only felt safe when they both came inside.

She laid his body on the bed and made sure that the grills on the windows are locked. She double checked as well the utensils and other harmful things are stored in high places. Yunmei is at 5 feet and 4 inches. Not enough  height to reach the top of the wall cabinets where the knives and other sharp objects are stored. She also locked the door in place so William would have a hard time getting out and running away from her. Once she is sure that her boss is going to be safe in his own home for the time being, she is now ready for war. She thought as she slowly slide down against the door.

And sure enough, after a few minutes of Yunmei laying still on the bed, his eyes opened to stare blankly on the roof. Then like a creepy serial killer, he slowly tilted his head to look in her direction. All of a sudden, his fingers started to rub his eyes furiously. "My eyes hurt! My eyes hurt!" He screamed.

Julie scrambled to her feet and tried to pry his hands away. It must be the contact lenses. Yunmei may have slept with that on.

"Ssh. I will heal your eyes. Let big sister take care of your eyes." She cooed the thrashing omega.

She keeps on saying it for a while but to no avail. This alter of him never listened to anyone and was always panicking. Part of the reason, as she understood it from Hunter's explanation is they never let William out. So whenever he had a chance to control the body, he feels lost and the changes in his surroundings and his body puts a pressure on his mind that he wants to constantly run away until he cant anymore. It was always Yunmei and Hunter that controls this body on a certain time. Julie is entrusted of the job to make sure that this body takes one sleeping pill at night before going to bed or going to his customers. This is a countermeasure of the two alters to prevent William from taking over the body while they rest. She cant understand what went wrong because she never failed in giving him a pill every night. What? Is it not working now? Does she need to increase the dosage?

William, is a suicidal personality. She don't mind if Hunter is out all the time. Or even Yunmei. But this William is the most stressful to handle out of the two. It does not help as well that he has a mental age of a 10 year old kid and  was always shocked of his surroundings.

She was brought out of her thoughts when she noticed that her boss was thrashing around stronger and she is having a hard time pinning him down. She turned him on his stomach and restricted his arms on his back by her handkerchief that serves as a tie of her hair. She needs help in removing that contact lens in his eyes.

When she has successfully tied his hands, she stood up and got her phone that was laying on the ground by the door. She dialed Urek's number and while she was waiting for him to answer the phone, she noticed the bite mark around his pheromone gland by the nape.

This might have triggered William out.

Julie's mind went back to the present when she heard Urek speak, "I think you should watch this video as well. It was requested by William himself when I got here 3-days ago."

Urek's mind went back on the time that he left the hospital. He was speaking with Levi when he received a call from Julie, giving him a brief explanation of what happened. He was so worried every time William goes out. Hunter is dangerous in a matter that he loves killing people and would never hesitate to shoot anyone in the head whenever they offended him or when he was asked to. Hunter would never do anything reckless that would harm his body. After all, he was born for the sole purpose of surviving and protecting the body. He just reached the parking lot and  was about to get in his car when he received another call, but this time, it is from John, his beloved omega.

"Hey honey. How are you? How was the meeting with Levi's father?"

Ah, his voice and warmth is the only medicine and comfort that I need in this chaotic world of mine! He thought.

"He just asked Levi's whereabouts recently and if he is seeing someone else now. I guess he is looking for something to use against him."

"Hmm. Did you told him about Yunmei?"

Urek started his car and placed his phone on the speaker dock so he can drive while speaking to him. "Nope. Who knows, Levi might fall in love to another person now and forget that childhood friend of his. And honey, I might be not at home frequently in the coming days."

"Hmm. Why?"

"William was out."

That simple answer gave him and John a chill in their bones! And him, saying that, means that he acknowledged a bloody mess that he might encounter when he reached his apartment. He really dont want to see it.

He ended the call with John after saying how much he misses him and how much he will own him when he comes back so he better prepare himself. Now that the call has ended, his mood went down.

He placed his right elbow against the  window of his car and drove to 38th street while thinking, Julie would never forget his sleeping pills. She is with him for 10 years now. How come William came out?

When he reached the apartment, Julie's hair was in disarray, there were angry, red scratches on her face. Her lips were bleeding and Yunmei was tied on the bed, his eyes and face are red, maybe from all the screaming that he did.

"Help me remove the contact lenses in his eyes first before we think of a way to feed him." She said to  him after she opened the door.

And so, after the struggle between the three, the blue contact lenses has finally removed, revealing the light, amber eyes of the omega. He has noticed a huge change in his scent as well. Their scent mixed and it shows that there is an alpha who owns this body.

Urek got the syringe from his lab coat. Damnit. I am still wearing my lab coat! He commented to himself. This syringe contains a dose of liquid lorazepam that he got from the hospital. He prepared and sanitized the needle before injecting a very small amount into his blood stream, just enough to calm him down and not kill him. He thought that Julie might have given him a tablet a while ago.

"Was it triggered by that bite mark?"

"That is what I would like to think but it is contrary to science. For someone that has a mental illness, receiving a bite mark from the person you are attracted to helps you be stable. It also helps with their recovery" He explained to Julie.

Julie remembered the alpha from last night. She greeted them from the lobby after all. "How can you be so sure that Yunmei is attracted to that alpha friend of yours?"

Urek sat on the bed and untied the handkerchief from Yunmei's wrist. "I was with them and I am the sole witness of their silent flirting. He even called my Johnny to kick me out of the room."

If Urek saw it, she is going to believe it. This guy is not a stranger to her at all. She often relies on him when his boss is having an episode that she cant control. After all, there were two of them in this world who knows and understands his condition deeply.

Urek was flipping Yunmei on his stomach when he noticed an ID badge lying on the bed. He got it and when he saw the name and face of the owner, he was not surprised. Of course. Yunmei might want to know his name and where he works. He said as he placed it on his back pocket.

"William would not let go of that  ID badge." Julie said to him as she tried to tie her hair back.

"Huh? Did he told you why?"

"Nope. How are we going to feed him?" She asked. Since William is a suicidal personality, he will think of not eating until he dies.

"I don't know. But keeping him hydrated is more important. Maybe I should bring IV fluids in here."

Julie scoffed "IV fluids mean needle. And needle means sharp object that he can use to harm this body. We are not sure if Yunmei or Hunter is going to take over the next time he wakes up. But if it will be William while the IV fluid is connected, we are doomed."

For the whole duration of 3 days, Williams routine was to be expected. They bring him food but they will see him bring it in the bathroom to flush it. Sometimes, he would sit in the corner and cry. Sometimes he would stare on the CCTV camera. This personality was stuck in the year 2000. Around that time, technology was not well developed as it is in the year 2020, but he seems to know and recognize the new model of CCTV in the room. One day, they were so shocked to see that William was biting his nails off from his fingers while staring at the CCTV camera. Urek and her freaked out that they barged into his room and tackled him on the floor. Turns out, he just wanted them to bring him an old model of digital camera. Some old model that he is familiar with. Urek went out to look for a model that was around the year 2000 and he set it up according to William's instruction.

What is the point of asking for the old model if he is going to set it up himself. Urek asked himself that time. But maybe, it has something to do with this personality, freaking out on unfamiliar things that were from the present time.

Julie and Urek was once more brought back to the present when they heard Yunmei's voice from the camera.

"A lot has changed since then." William, the suicidal personality started. "I am always confused whenever I get out but I know you are watching this, Yunmei and Hunter." Yunmei sighed. He doesn't like the fact that the silent William, who rarely woke up in the last 20 years, is now speaking to him and Hunter by leaving a message. The same way how he and his brother communicates.

In the video, the supposed to be 10-year old William was sitting on the bed while hugging his knees close to his chest. "I have been absent for so long that I am no longer familiar of the surroundings and places that you guys are in. I am not even familiar with my body anymore." His voice are shaking as he tried to control his voice from the video. This is an indication that William was crying at the time of the recording. "But this is the first time that I actually wanted to come out even if I am afraid." He stood up from the bed and got close to the camera, so close that only his amber eyes are visible.

*"Please let me out." He whispered.
