CHAPTER 8 NICOLE

Diana left to her room as Howard came and took me back to the drawing room,when I got there Catherine was the only one there

Catherine: I don't think anyone in my family will murder your family but....I want to help you

Nicole: how??

Catherine: I'll hire the best investigator in the country

Nicole: and if your family was responsible for the murder,what will you do?

Catherine:then we'll face the law ourselves

Nicole:and if it's someone else?

Catherine:then we'll help you with your revenge,I promise

Nicole:ok....thank you

Catherine: welcome my dear

I left and I realized it was night time already,I ask Howard to take me to Nora and Noah's room he nodded and I followed him to there room

When I got there Nora and Noah were bouncing on the bed when they saw me they run to me and hug me

Nora: mommy look at our room

Nicole:I see it's big

Noah:why are we here mom?and what about auntie Dixie??

Nicole:I'll call her later tiger okay

Nicole:why don't you guys get ready for bed?

I got them ready for bed and soon we were cuddling in the bed

As Nikolai finally put on a shirt

I was about to leave Nikolai stop me

Nikolai: Pearl stay besides there's no other rooms anyway the guest bedroom's are being renovated and the rest are the staff's room

Nicole: then I'll sleep with Nora and Noah

Nikolai: you don't want to wake them up, I'll sleep on the couch you can have the bed

I drove into bed,it was so soft,comfy and soon I fall asleep

CHAPTER 9 NIKOLAI

I couldn't fall asleep so I fixed my schedule when I heard Nicole scream she was having a nightmare I tired to wake her up but it didn't work so I left the room

When I came back to the bedroom,Nicole was still scream I prepared the tea and soon she woke up

Nikolai: here

I handed her the tea

Nicole: what's this?

Nikolai: tea,it'll help you sleep through the night

Nicole: thank you

Nikolai: are you okay??

Nicole: yes am fine it was just a dream

She took a sip of the tea and turn to me

Nicole: why are you still awake??

Nikolai: I couldn't sleep the couch is uncomfortable

She sighed

Nicole: you can sleep on the bed this is your room

She said as she patted the space next to her

Nicole: but keep your hands to yourself

I chuckled

Nikolai: same to you

Nicole rolled her eyes

Nikolai: sweet dreams Pearl

And soon we fall asleep

THE NEXT DAY

I woke up my hand was on Nicole's waist so I pretend to sleep but Nicole woke up a second later

Nicole: get your hands of me

Nikolai: good morning to you too pearl

Nicole rolled her eyes and got out of bed

Nicole:am going to take a shower can you please tell Howard to get my suitcase

Nikolai: your clothes are in that closet right there

I pointed at the door in the corner,correction it's a walk in closet but was the difference she walk to the door then she opened the door and she was shock

Nicole: this isn't my clothes!!

I walk over until I was behind her I look around the room

Nikolai:I had someone buy them for you use them

Nicole: but...

Nikolai:look unless you want to eat breakfast naked I suggest you wear the clothes am going to take a shower there another bathroom over there

I kiss her head and left,soon I was waiting out of the bedroom and Nicole came out wearing a purple dress and she curled her hair

Nikolai:you definitely are the brightest pearl

Nicole: thank you

I held out my hand and I was surprised when she took it,we went to the dining room where my mother and father waited

Howard came in with Nora and Noah,they came and ran to Nicole hugged her

Nora: good morning Mommy

Noah:good morning mommy

Nicole: good morning

Nora:look I have a new dress

Nicole: I see that

Catherine: Nora, Noah why don't you sit with me

Nora and Noah took a sit beside Catherine and Nicole sat beside me, Nicole look around the table before saying

Nicole: where's Diana?

Carlos:in her room

Catherine: don't worry she always does this when she upset

Nicole:oh okay

Soon we started to eat

Catherine:Nora, Noah why don't you you play the horse game

Nora: what's that??

Noah: it's a game where you ride a horse and hit a ball

Catherine: correct your very smart Noah

Noah: thanks

Nora:you guys have horses

Nikolai:yes 12 to be specific

Nora: can I have one??

Nikolai: of course

CHAPTER 10 NICOLE

After breakfast ended Nora and Noah went to the garden a to play the"horse game"and Nikolai was in a meeting

So am going to apologies to Diana I went to her room and knock on the door

Diana: come in

I opened the door and came in closing it behind me

Nicole:I bought snacks!!

Diana: thanks leave it on the table

I put the snacks on the table and went over to the bed where Diana sat swiping at her phone

Nicole: Diana am sorry I lie

She stop swiping and look at me

Diana:why?I thought we were friends

Nicole:we are....

Diana:then why!?

Nicole: Diana your family killed mine and if I told you the truth,would you have been my friend?

Diana:I guess your right

She stood up and went to the table where the snacks sat she took them and place it on the bed

Diana: I forgive you now let's eat

Nicole: really!?

Diana: yeah am way to beautiful to be stress

I laugh and we ate the snacks soon I left as I face time Dixie

Dixie on the phone: OMG Nicole where are you?

Nicole:the palace

Dixie on the phone: what are you doing there?

I told her what happened and she was shock

Dixie on the phone:so what now??

Nicole: what do you mean!?

Dixie on the phone: Nicole what the fuck?

Nicole:I know but Nikolai is still Nora and Noah's father and the royal family are there family too and you knew it

Dixie sigh

Dixie on the phone:ok fine but keep me updated and what about Nikolai?

I ended the call as Howard came in

Howard: Miss Nicole his highness is waiting for you in the gazebo for lunch

Nicole:ok I'll be there in a sec

He left and soon I went to the gazebo

AT THE GAZEBO

When I got there Nikolai was on the phone when saw me he ended the call and look at me

Nicole: who was that?

Nikolai: nothing just business

Nora: mommy!!!

Nora came riding a beautiful white horse and Noah followed riding a brown horse they got down and hug me,just then Catherine come

Catherine: Nikolai someone finally beat you, Noah was amazing

Nikolai: really?

Noah: yes

Nikolai: ok then let's play

Noah:bok Nora you want to play too

Nora: no am not very good

Nicole: oh baby come here

I pick her up

Nikolai: that's ok Nora now let's play Noah

Nikolai and Noah went and played Catherine stayed in the gazebo,she ate fruits as I stroke Nora's hair

Nicole:has Nikolai always loved this game?

Catherine:yea no one could beat him,well until now

Noah was winning by a huge landside,we laughed as Nora ate a piece of cake

Catherine: Nikolai is amazing you know and he loves you I can see it in his eyes,the way he looks at you...

She took a deep breath as she continue

Catherine: look I don't know what happened between you two but I love my son and I want him to be happy I know his happiness is in your hands

I looked at her for a second before Noah and Nikolai came back

Noah: mommy I won

Nicole: I see that

I look at Nikolai

Nicole: you lost to a child disappointing

Nikolai: I'll win next time pearl don't worry

Soon it was night time I was about to go to tuck in Nora and Noah but I stop at the door as Nikolai kiss Nora's forehead

Nikolai: good night princess

Then kiss Noah's forehead

Nikolai: good night prince

He saw me and I entered the room I ignore him and kiss good night to my kids and we left

AT OUR BEDROOM

Nikolai was in the shower and I look around the room,I opened the drawer beside the bed

I found a picture of us on our first date just then Nikolai step out of the shower

Nicole:you keep this

I didn't look at him I was focused on the picture

Nikolai: of course I did Pearl

Nicole: why?

Nikolai come over and sat beside me on the bed

Nikolai: because I miss you Pearl all the fucking time...

I was crying and I left the picture on the drawer and run to the bathroom as I cried...

CHAPTER 11 NIKOLAI

after that night Nicole distance herself from me I would see her in the palace either with Diana or my mother, one day I ask to talk to Diana

AT MY OFFICE

Diana came in

Diana:you wanted to see me

Nikolai:yes how are you??

Diana: it's this about Nicole!?

Nikolai:yes how did you know??

Diana:she been avoiding you,so what did you want help with?

Nikolai: can you tell her to meet me in the lorarity garden

The lorarity garden was beautiful and know for the romantic atmosphere most royals had there first kiss there or first date

Diana: sure

Diana left and as I nervously called someone to make lolarity garden look like our first date

That night as I was waiting for her with a rose and lilies bouquet in my hand,she come looking at her phone

Nicole:am here Dia...

She didn't finish her sentence when she saw me I handed her the bouquet

Nicole: what's this??

Nikolai:our date

Nicole:you didn't ask me to go on a date

I smiled and pointed at the bouquet

Nikolai: you didn't answer

Nicole took out the note inside the bouquet and read it out loud

Nicole:will you go on a date with me Pearl?

She slimed and look at me

Nicole:sure

I held out my hand and she took it

Nicole: how did you do this?

She said as she look around

Nikolai:it wasn't that hard am a prince

She chuckled and place the flowers on the table as I on "our song" AKA "you belong with me by Taylor swift "

Nikolai:may I have a dance pearl?

She nodded and we dance laughing when it ended

Nikolai: you've gotten better

Nicole: thank you

Her smile faded

Nicole:I need to go

Nikolai: wait pea...

Nicole: don't please...don't call me that

Nikolai:why??

Nicole: because I fall in love with you again I can't!!!!

Nikolai:why??

Nicole:my family...

Nikolai:if my family didn't murder yours would you love me then??

Nicole: yes of course I will

She was crying

Nicole:the past five years was hell without you, you don't have any ideas how many times I wanted to call you to hear your voice your touch...

Before she could finish I kiss her pulling her close to me to my surprised she didn't push me away

When I pulled away

Placing my head on hers

Nicole: I know am sorry

She smiled

I laugh

Nikolai:no I got your favorite strawberry cheesecake

She kiss my cheek and took the strawberry cheesecake she took a bite

Nicole:hmm yummy

Nikolai: your really are the brightest Pearl

She smiled

Nicole: cheesey much?

Nikolai:I love you

Nicole didn't answer so we just talk and ate

CHAPTER 12 NICOLE

after that night Nikolai and I spend almost all our time together Nora and Noah loved him Noah started calling him dad but Nora was hesitant

One day I was watching Nora and Noah painting a picture for Nikolai since father's day was coming when Howard walk in

Howard: miss Nicole the queen call for you in the living room

Nicole: ok can you watch them

Howard:of course

AT THE LIVING ROOM

when I got there Diana, Carlos and Nikolai was there they looking sad

Nicole: what happened??

Nikolai: pearl come here

I went to him and sat beside him he held my hand as Diana sat beside me when Catherine spoke

Catherine:the investigator find out the truth

She took a deep breath

Catherine: honey our family didn't kill anyone the man who ordered the murder was...

She hesitanted and look at Nikolai who nodded her to continue

I was shock,Fernando Fields is Dixie's father and the man who save me from my abusive uncle

Catherine: apparently your father had dirt on him and he decided to kill him the investigator give me this

She give me a brown envelope I opened it was all pictures of Fernando's illegal dealing and how he planned my father's murder

Nicole: no...no this can't be no...

I was crying Nikolai and Diana hugged me

Nikolai took me to our room and sat me down on the bed he left for a second and came back with a hot chocolate he handed it to me and then he hugged me

CHAPTER 13 NIKOLAI

The past couple of days Nicole stayed in our room Nora and Noah were worried but didn't push me to see her and Dixie come to the palace almost every day but I sent her away

ONE DAY

Nicole:am sorry

Nikolai: you don't have to...

Howard: your highness miss Dixie Fields is here

Nicole: Dixie?

Nikolai:she been coming here for weeks I didn't tell you because your we're upset

Nicole:I want to see her

Nikolai:ok I'll come with you

She nodded and got ready we went to the drawing room together she held my hand tightly

AT THE DRAWING ROOM

Dixie came up to Nicole and hug her

Dixie left and Nicole wipe away her tears she turned to me

Howard came in with a strawberry cheesecake

Howard: your highness here what you ordered

Nicole: strawberry cheesecake is it for....

Nikolai:you yes

I handed her the cheesecake and she took a bite as we sat down on the couch

I kiss her and let's just say we didn't leave our room the entire day.....

THE NEXT DAY

I woke up in Nikolai arms and this time I didn't push him away soon he woke up

I smiled and I got up

I took a shower and got dress Nikolai was in his meeting and I went to look for Nora and Noah I found them in the gazebo with Diana

When they saw me they run and hugged me

Nicole: yeah

Nora and Noah went to play leaving me and Diana to talk

Diana:so how was your night?

Nicole: what do you mean?

Diana:oh please I could hear you guys all...

I covered my ears

Nicole:oh that's kinda a funny story the first time we meet I lost my pearl necklace that necklace was the last thing my mom give me...

Nicole:it is,I use to hate the nickname but now I love it

I laugh

Nicole: diamond??

Diana: what I would love to be called diamond cause Dia DIAmond

We laughed as Nikolai, Nora and Noah come towards us

Nikolai: what's so funny??

He said as he kiss the top of my head

I handed Nora to Nikolai as they leave to put Nora and Noah to sleep.....

5 weeks later Nikolai and I were getting really really close Noah loved Nikolai and he loves the idea that Nikolai is his father,Nora still didn't call him dad but that was fine,One day..

Nikolai:I have a surprise for you

Nicole: what is it?

I said as I ate the strawberry cheesecake and Nora is in my lap and Noah was playing the horse play again Nikolai didn't play knowing he wouldn't win

Nikolai: you'll see Noah!!

He called Noah and lead all of us in the drawing room as one painting was cover

Nikolai:well technically it's a surprise for all us

I look at him confused as Howard pulled the cover of the painting off,and when I saw the painting I almost cried,it was a painting of all of us me,Nora, Noah and Nikolai

Nora: mommy it's us

Nicole:I know

I tear left my eye we look so perfect, Nikolai and me were looking at either in the painting

1 WEEK LATER

I was having lunch with Diana as Nora and Noah played

Diana:so how are you?
