WWE Series: "The Rising Star" – Episode 4: "New Beginnings"
Episode Summary:
Title: "New Beginnings"
Jake is promoted to ECW after an intense training journey at the WWE Performance Center. But before his big move, he faces one last brutal test in the form of a No Holds Barred match against one of the toughest trainees. As the blood spills and his body is pushed to the limit, Jake proves he's ready for the ECW ring. Along with him, several other trainees, including his best friend Alex and Tornado Tom, are promoted, marking the beginning of a new chapter for them all.
Opening Scene: The Announcement
The Performance Center is buzzing with excitement. The trainees have gathered for a special announcement. The air is thick with anticipation, as today is the day the promotions to ECW will be revealed. Jake stands among the other trainees, nervously tapping his foot.
Suddenly, the door opens, and in walks The Titan, a former WWE wrestler known for his brutal, no-nonsense style. The room goes quiet as Titan takes a seat at the front, scanning the trainees with a stern look.
The Titan (speaking with authority):
"Alright, listen up! You’ve all worked hard, and it’s time to see who’s moving up. You’ve all shown something special, but not everyone is ready for ECW. Those who are, though… you’ll get the opportunity to prove yourself on a bigger stage."
Jake’s heart races. He exchanges a glance with Alex, who gives him an encouraging nod.
The Titan (pointing to Jake):
"Jake Rivers—‘The Falcon’—you’ve shown grit, heart, and talent beyond your years. You’re ready for ECW."
The room erupts in cheers. Jake smiles, his eyes wide with disbelief.
The Titan (continuing):
"Alex ‘The Bulldog’ Harris, you’re up too. Your work ethic has been incredible, and you’re ready for the next step."
Alex grins, shaking Jake’s hand.
The Titan (nodding toward Tornado Tom):
"Tornado Tom—you’ve proven time and time again that you’ve got the heart of a champion. ECW’s your new home."
Tornado Tom looks surprised but grateful. He nods at the Titan.
The Titan (gesturing to the other trainees):
"And finally, five other trainees are making the jump. Marcus Carter, Amanda 'The Phoenix' James, Daniel 'The Bulldog' Grey, Jessie 'The Hurricane' Lark, and Sean 'The Hammer' Cole—you all have earned your spot."
The crowd erupts in applause as each name is called. The sense of camaraderie fills the room as the trainees exchange congratulatory words.
Jake looks around, feeling a sense of accomplishment, but he knows the hardest part is yet to come.
The Last Match: Jake vs. A Training Wrestler
Later that afternoon, it’s time for Jake’s final test before he officially makes his ECW debut: a No Holds Barred match against another training wrestler, Danny “The Crusher” Matthews. Danny is known for his aggressive, brawler-style fighting, and he’s been itching for a chance to face Jake.
As the bell rings, Danny immediately charges at Jake, hitting him with a brutal clothesline. Jake stumbles back, but he quickly recovers, dodging another strike and landing a series of rapid kicks to Danny’s midsection. The crowd of trainees watches eagerly as the two exchange blows.
Danny (taunting Jake):
"You think you’re ready for ECW, kid? I’ll show you what real pain feels like."
Jake grits his teeth, his face determined. He charges at Danny, landing a beautiful Tornado DDT, but Danny quickly gets back up, pulling Jake into a brutal headlock. Blood starts trickling from Jake’s forehead as Danny slams him repeatedly into the steel steps outside the ring.
The fight escalates quickly. Jake is thrown into the corner post, and Danny starts attacking him with a steel chair. The sound of metal slamming against flesh echoes through the Performance Center. Jake's head is now covered in blood, and his hand is cut deeply after a piece of broken glass from a chair shot gets embedded in it.
Jake (wincing in pain):
"Not done yet…"
Jake fights through the pain, summoning his strength. He delivers a Springboard Kick to Danny’s face, knocking him back. But Danny is quick, countering with a low blow. Jake staggers, unable to fight back for a moment.
Danny (grinning):
"You’re just a kid, Jake. You’ve got no idea what it takes to survive ECW."
With a burst of energy, Jake regains his footing, landing several strikes to Danny’s chest and face. He goes for a quick pin, but Danny kicks out at two. Jake, his hand now bleeding profusely, struggles to hold on to his composure. He pulls the shard of glass from his hand, gritting his teeth, and charges at Danny.
Jake (with fierce determination):
"This is my time!"
He hits a brutal superkick, knocking Danny out cold. Jake goes for the pin, and the referee counts:
Referee (counting):
"One, two, three!"
The bell rings. Jake has won the match—but at a heavy cost. Blood drips from his head and his hand as he stands up, breathing heavily. Tornado Tom and the other trainees rush to the ring to congratulate him.
After the Match: The Announcement
Later, in the locker room, Jake is bandaged up, sitting with Alex, Tornado Tom, and the other trainees who’ve been promoted.
Jake (holding his hand up, now wrapped in bandages):
"Guess I’m really heading to ECW. I… didn’t think it’d happen like this, though."
Tornado Tom (laughing):
"You earned it, kid. A little blood, a little pain—ECW’s where you’ll thrive. Just remember, you’re gonna have to do a lot more than that to stay on top."
Alex (grinning):
"Man, you put up one hell of a fight. I’m proud of you."
Jake (smiling through the pain):
"Thanks, man. I’ll see you in the ECW ring soon, right?"
Alex (nodding):
"Yeah, we’ll be there together."
The camera cuts to The Titan, who enters the room once again. He approaches Jake and the group.
The Titan (clapping Jake on the shoulder):
"You did great today, kid. Now, clean yourself up. ECW’s not going to be easy, but you’ve earned your shot."
Jake nods, ready to face whatever comes next.
Closing Scene: The Road Ahead
The next day, the trainees are gathered for a final briefing before heading off to ECW. Jake, Alex, Tornado Tom, and the others stand together as The Titan walks into the room with a microphone.
The Titan (addressing the group):
"You’ve all earned your spot in ECW, but this is only the beginning. I’m going to be watching you closely, and if you think it gets easier from here, think again. The real grind starts now. Get ready for the ride of your life."
Jake looks around at his friends and fellow trainees, feeling a mix of nerves and excitement. This is just the beginning of his journey.
Jake (thinking to himself):
"This is where legends are made. I’m ready."
The camera fades out as Jake and the others stand tall, ready to make their mark in ECW.
