The pitter-patter of rain could be heard clearly. The whether outside was chilly, with cold breeze blowing and the rain pouring.
Running her hand through her hairs, with her glasses resting on her nose bridge, Faye was reading "The Lost Dominion". Her coffee and snacks long finsihed.
For centuries, humans and fairies had lived in harmony, their worlds intertwined like the threads of a rich tapestry. Fairies had shared their wisdom and magic with humans, teaching them the secrets of the earth, the rhythms of the seasons, and the language of the trees. In return, humans had offered their own unique gifts: their capacity for creativity, their passion for storytelling, and their innate curiosity. Together, humans and fairies had explored the mysteries of the universe, their collaboration yielding remarkable discoveries and innovations. Fairy healers had tended to human ailments, while human artisans had crafted beautiful works of art inspired by fairy magic.
In the millennia preceding 1000 BC, fairies and humans coexisted in a delicate balance of power. Fairies, with their deep connection to nature, maintained the harmony of the environment, while humans developed their civilizations, harnessing the power of technology.
However-
Faye's reading was cut off by a knock on her door. Fixing her glasses she yelled "Come in"
The door opened and her younger sister of 10 years old walked in.
"Mom and dad are fighting again."
Faye couldn't resist the urge to roll her eyes, she wasn't even shock cause this is was an everyday occurence. Though it would be a lie to say that the daily routine of her parents fighting didn't bother her, mentally.
"So? What do you want me to about it, Yara?"
Now, Faye didn't mean to sound so rude to the younger one, but she couldn't help it. There really isn't anything she can do, even if she tries to interfere and stop the argument, she'll only end up getting yelled at by her father, as usual.
Been facing these issues ever since she can remember, Faye have grown immune to the constant heated arguments now. If it was the old time, she would've started crying by now.
A loving family, peaceful environment at home, a non-toxic man who is good to his wife, sounded fictional to her.
The quite the short tempered little one retorts with a scowl. "Ofcourse go and intervene! Shouldn't you stop them?"
"Why should I? They aren't kids. They know what they're doing. It'll be better if you mind your own buisness. Go and watch TV or whatever you'd like to do, don't disturb me." Faye responses in a sharp tone, brooking no room for argument, making the younger one walk out of her room while gritting her teeth.
With a heavy sigh, Faye closes the book and keep it on her bedside table. Clearly not in the mood to continue reading. She lays down and stare at the ceiling.
She knows it's not easy for Yara to put up with the constant fights, the fear, the worry, the anxiety, everything that Yara must be feeling, Faye knew it all too well. After all, she's been in Yara's shoes before.
As the argument dies down, Faye lazily gets up and shuts the door of her room which Yara didn't close while walking out. As she made her way back to bed, her phone flashes with a notification. Faye perks up seeing the sender is Luna.
Luna and Faye have been bestfriends since grade school. Through thick and thin they have always sticked together. There was nothing they didn't know about eachother. From trying to count the stars as silly kids to crying over crushes as teenagers, they've been through it all together.
Opening the chat Faye reads the message.
Luna
Did you buy a new dress for Sana birthday party?
Faye
No I didn't. Why didn't you remind me when we were out borrowing the books?
Luna
Bitch I forgot it myself! Anyways, wanna go shopping now?
Faye
Asking me as if you don't know my parents won't allow at this hour.
Luna
Ahh forgot this shit too!
Cool! How about I buy something for you? And don't say no, the party's literally tomorrow.
Faye
I can buy it tomorrow morning though!?
Luna
I thought your parents don't allow to go out on Sundays?
Faye
Ah yeah right. Fine, go ahed and buy me a beautiful dress.
Luna
Yeah rest assured. Byeee.
Faye
Byee.
Faye puts her phone down with a smile, she trusted Luna's taste when it came to fashion, can't say the same for food though. The sweet girl Luna like pineapple pizza, something Faye would never have even if she was being offered million dollars!.......or maybe she will.
Again getting her lazy ass up from the bed, Faye makes her way to her study table and starts doing her homework with a grimace.

A man in a knight's attire with two big and beautiful closed wings on his back, walks down the grand hallway leading to the king's chamber. His presence commanding respect. With each long strides he reaches the king's chamber soon. The grand door with gold handles, was opened by the guards after announcing the royal knight's arrival. The kight walked in and bowed down 90° to the king who was standing in front of the huge windows with his back facing the kight.
"You called for me your majesty?"
Asked the royal knight, his tone laced with respect.
The king didn't bother to turn around and commands in his deep cold voice, enough to send shiver down anybody's spain. "Go to that witch who lives in the forest, ask her to find the location of the scared history book, no matter wherever it is in the human realm. I want the report as soon as possible."
"Your wish is my command, your majesty."
On king's command the kight doesn't wast a second and walks out of the chamber with determination.
The knight takes 5 soldiers with him. They all open their huge wings and take off towards the forest where the witch lives.
The witch have always helped them with solving mysteries by looking at her crystal ball. Quite a kind witch we can say.
Upon reaching the witch's cave, the group lands on the ground and make their way inside, following the kight.
The cave was dark, mysterious, and eerie, lit only by flickering candles and glowing potions. The air was thick with the scent of bubbling brews and burning incense. Strange artifacts and magical objects cluttered the shelves, casting ominous shadows on the walls.
A large cauldron bubbled and steamed in the center of the cave, surrounded by ancient tomes and mysterious scrolls. Cobwebs clung to the ceiling, and the sound of dripping water echoed through the cavern.
In the corner, a broomstick leaned against the wall, waiting for its mistress to take flight. The atmosphere was foreboding, as if magic and mayhem lurked around every corner.
The witch stood tall, her long black cloak billowing around her like a dark cloud, with a pointed hat casting a shadow over her face, but her glowing green eyes sparkled with malevolence, illuminating the dark recesses of the cave.
The witch's green eyes lands on the royal knight as she lets out a dry chuckle, knowing full well why the young man is paying her a sudden visit.
"Well well, who do we have here, if it isn't the royal knight Jeon Jungkook?"
