Sweet

I was cleaning my side of the room and placing my stuff on the built in drawers for clothes when Nika came back with Lisa sleeping in her arms. She placed Lisa on her bed and pulled the sheet to cover her. It is about five in the afternoon and classes would start on Monday. Since it’s just Friday today, we still have lots of time to wander around the campus a bit. And Nika asked me to come with her and tour me around the school grounds. It is quite a huge school but pretty quiet when students aren’t around during weekends. So, we have the garden all to ourselves and it’s amazing. There are e-bikes and manual bikes we can use for rent. Or we can just walk which is easier and more convenient especially when the school has all the things one need like fast food chains, groceries, bar and café, restaurants and whatever is necessary to live and survive inside a campus. Nowadays, it’s a necessity to have car or bike charging stations, coffee or water dispensers or mini-library in each and every block or alley not only in the campus but outside the streets of Akita and the world.

It’s interesting that year 3030 is something that the world isn’t ready to learn or hear about. Yet, we are now in the Digital Era and all are running on electric poles, lines and streets. Though we still have pavements and highways or bridges but we already have the Ground, Mid-Air and Sky Roads, Bridges where, flying cars, motorbikes and trucks, ships or helijets are more prominent than actual or manual vehicles used for transportation or exportation.

I am not arrogant, mind you, Aki, I am sweet and knows what I want or need in life, why I’m so sure of things excluding Lisa. Lisa is a different case. Aunt and Uncle has lived abroad for years to study and get to find a cure for Lisa’s condition. She is a bright and lively girl but since the meteorite fell and struck the world in all directions. Side effects caused a massive change on each of our DNA’s and chemical imbalance started to ruin people’s bodies or make drastic changes on it that created a virus unknown to us or Science. But Lisa is okay now, so I always accompany her to her regular check-ups to help keep her safe and healthy, Nika said seriously. She is now sitting beside me on a bench looking at the rising moon on top of us, overlooking the vast garden with trees and flowers so colorful that even the night sky couldn’t keep up with its beauty and splendor.

I’m sorry, I don’t think you are arrogant or cold, I just think you are cautious and you hide your kindness by being silly or aloof to protect you and your heart!, I added and Nika looked at my eyes and winked.

Aha… and you, are not dissociated nor careless, for me, you are just taking things slowly and you observe everything and everyone including me, Nika said. That is why you are my second most favorite person in this campus!
