"I want you to stay," the creature replied. "I want you to join us."

But as he turned to leave, he felt a strange sensation. It was as if the planet itself was exerting some kind of influence over him, drawing him back.

Dr. Thompson stumbled, his foot catching on a hidden rock. As he fell, he felt the planet's energy washing over him, consuming him.

And when he stood up again, he was changed. His eyes seemed to burn with an inner fire, and his voice was like a rusty gate.

"I will stay," he said, his voice dripping with malevolence. "I will join you."

The creature smiled, its eyes gleaming with triumph.

"Welcome to our world," it said.

And Dr. Thompson knew that he was doomed.
