Taehyung was silent. This is like a dream. His parents are happy. They're proud of him. And they aren't worried about money anymore. He couldn't understand what was happening.
His mother took him to the place where all of the food were kept, which they think their son has sent. Taehyung was shocked by watching the amount of delicious food in front of him. His pocket is empty. He himself has no money to have food. Then who sent all of these?
Suddenly something came across his mind. The food which are in front of him right now, which his parents believe he sent, are the same food that he ate at that old building with the mysterious girl! He remembered that when the girl told him to believe he is living his dream life, he imagined him and his parents having delicious meals together. Taehyung's eyes widened as realization dawned upon him. It all suddenly started to make sense. The girl's words came back to him. Her voice echoed in his mind. "Everything is here". He touched his chest where she had placed her palm. If you believe from here, she had said, nothing is impossible. He looked at his parents, who were blissfully unaware of the truth. Their smile made his heart ache.
"I can't lie to them", he thought. "Mom...Dad..." he began, his voice filled with guilt and love. "I...I don't have a new job. I didn't send these things. I...I have no money right now."
"What do you mean you don't have money right now? Then who sent these?", his father asked with confusion in his eyes.
"I...I can't explain it. I don't understand it myself. But trust me. It's not my doing." Taehyung tried to explain.
"Then who else did it? Who would send all of these without anything in return?", his mother asked him.
Taehyung could sense the disappointment in his parent's voice. Oh! how he wished to tell them everything, everything that he had experienced, the experience he had with the mysterious girl, the idea of believing, making things possible. But explaining all of that would sound outlandish and strange, and he feared that they wouldn't get it.
"I...I don't know...I don't know", he mumbled.
"If you didn't do all of these then who did these? And if you don't have money then what are you eating? Aren't you taking care of yourself?", his mother's voice turned to worry.
"I...I haven't eat much lately", Taehyung admitted truthfully.
His father's face hardened, his disappointment turning into...anger!
"Are you serious? You haven't been eating properly? Taehyung, here we're struggling to make both ends meet and you aren't taking care of yourself properly? From where we'll bring money if you get sick?"
Taehyung looked down, unable to meet their gaze. He felt the weight of their words, the guilt and shame welling up within him. He had been so focused on his own struggles and pain that he had forgotten about them. It wasn't just about him anymore. His parents, who had already been struggling financially, are worrying about him now. Tears spilled from his eyes as he looked up at them, his voice breaking.
"I'm sorry...I'm so sorry. I'll do better. I'll find a better job. I'll do better. I'll eat better. I promise. I..."
He ran out of his house. He couldn't bear the pain of his parents.
