Emmie Harper, what appears to be your average schoolgirl, is walking to her class when she overhears faint whispers coming from what is supposed to be an empty classroom.

She stops for a moment after hearing them mention something about the forest behind the school. Normally she's not one to eavesdrop, but this time she just couldn't help it. She was curious, so she did what any other dumb school kid would do.

She walked over to the door and put her ear to it, trying to overhear the conversation. "I can't believe such horrible creatures are just behind our school!" one says. Creatures? What creatures? She had been there multiple times and had never seen any creatures other than wild animals. She pressed her ear closer to the door.

"Such scaly monsters, no wonder no one goes into that creepy old forest. It's bound to be crawling with all kinds of stuff." Emmie listens as they talk, describing weird snake-like creatures with fangs and eyes that could turn you to stone with a glance.

She didn't believe it one bit. She's been there countless times. If they were really in that forest, surely she should have seen one by now.

After a while, she got bored of listening to their conversation and backed away from the door, quietly as to not draw attention to herself and the fact she was eavesdropping.

She backed away from the door and slowly walked away. The bell rings on her way to class, signaling she's late. She steps into class, she breathes a sigh of relief as she does, and thankfully the teacher isn't here yet so she won't have detention.

She goes over to her desk and sits down, pulling out her notebook for class. She starts doodling as she waits for the teacher. When they finally arrive they seem... Different. They look the same but it's almost as if they're a completely different person.

The teacher, Mr. Johnson, introduced himself to the class and asked everyone to pull out their notebooks, thankfully Emmie already had hers out.

"Emmie\~" a voice calls out. "Emmie\~ wake up, you have something I want" a snake-like creature with deep-colored eyes as red as blood, and dark green hair like the leaves on a tree and rosewood skin, appears in front of me. I suddenly wake up with a jolt in cold sweat and all my classmates look at me. The bell goes off a couple of seconds later, and I grab my things to leave.

The teacher calls out to me before I can go, "Emmie?" she speaks. "I'll let you off with a warning this time, but next time I won't be too pleased to see you sleeping in my class again, now off you go."

"Y-yes, Mr. Johnson, sorry." I quickly replied as I grab my things and head out of the classroom. Now that school's over, I had planned to take another walk through the forest behind the school. However, this time something felt... Off. Normally, I wasn't this hesitant.
