An alley of time 🕰️🛤️
As I walked along the corridors
I reckoned two gleaming smiles
Arm in arm with a trinklet of wishes
One was yours and the other one - mine
The alley was dark, grey and long
Far more tall than the threshold of time
But the journey was not so blue to finish alone
Best of buddies, atleast for a while
You waned into a mere silhouette soon
I search for you, I continued too
They say footprints in the sand are lost in waves
We both were too young, maybe too naive
I hoped and wished, and hoped again
To let go of the friend, and liberate the pain
But sadly, acceptance was not the key to your lock
Seasons passed by, broken was the clock
When my eyes meet yours
Will memories erase and forget you?
Please tell me again, if I ever ask
Did you deem me as a friend true, too?
