love on first date

On December 20th I met a guy named Ben (Benjamin Scott) who's 19 and lives in Virginia... On December 22nd we went on our first date (aka my first date ever). We got breakfast at 10:32 am that morning at a really beautiful restaurant he ordered 2 plates. One with 2 pancakes and the other with an assortment of food (hash browns, scrambled eggs, sausage, and toast) with a cup of coffee for the drink... He was wearing this cute little plain outfit (olive green plain T-shirt and some shorts)... I had a cup of hot chocolate and a plate of assorted food (sour dough toast, scrambled eggs, hash browns and sausage) I gave him my sausage and then went to start eating... He looked up at me with this bright light in his eyes and asked if he could pray first... I remember the way his fingers intertwined as he looked down and closed his eyes silently... I remember feeling like I could keep him forever... Like love at first sight kinda but love on the first date... I say there wanting to cry not because I was mad or sad but because he just looked so peaceful and believed in something way greater than himself... I wanted to kiss his forehead cause it was just so admirable... He looked back up at me a few seconds later and I looked away...my blush was very noticeable at this point I couldn't really hide it... But he didn't ask about it instead he thanked me for letting him pray before eating and laughed like it was weird to do so... I remember thinking in my head that he was the one I wanted, I'd never been more sure... I sweetly smiled before saying that it was adorable... We sat and chatted while eating I got on him for his table manners which we laughed and joked about... I remember feeling like I could tell him everything... After eating we chatted more waiting for the bill and you should've seen the look on his face when he realized that you had to walk to the counter to pay... He laughed about it while waiting to pay... As we chatted, waiting an old man said we made a beautiful couple and that I was a keeper saying he had a lovely girlfriend I blushed and hid behind him... He looked down at me before smiling awkwardly at the man saying that I was just a friend... I remember my heart sinking when he said that, pretty sure he could tell cause after paying we went back out to his car he helped me in and we sat outside and he asked me if I was okay... I said I was and we chatted as we drove over to Grand prairie park over by where his dad lived where he was staying cause he was just visiting for the holiday. We got there and stayed in the car he asked if I watched anime and I said I did and that I loved it and we talked about it for a little before he opened his phone and put on fairytale cause I told him that's was got me into anime when I was around 8 years old... We climbed into the backseat that was put down so we could lay down and watch the show we ended up cuddling and then he looked up at me his eyes full of that bright light I say earlier as I just stared at him... The look of love and admiration in his eyes... I fell in love with him in that moment and I knew it had happened but I never thought that'd itself be possible... He then said that he shouldn't do it and looked away I got confused and asked what he meant and he leaned in and kissed me surprised I sat there for a second blushing as he pulled away. He looked down at me with a smile and I reached up pulling him close and kissing him... We smiled and blushed at each other before he asked me out and I said yes... Then things got a little carried away😅... He ended up taking me home and we chatted all night... It was the best day of my life and I never wanted it to end
