Eternal Threads: The Cursed Requiem
The Binding Truth
The outskirts of the city, near an abandoned cathedral shrouded in mist. Kian and Lila approach cautiously, the journal glowing faintly in her hands.
Lila Rivers (FL)
(eyeing the cathedral) Why here? This place gives me the creeps.
Kian Solis (ML 1)
This is where it began. The night I was cursed, and the night you…(he hesitates, his voice 🔊softening) "you chose to save me.
Lila Rivers (FL)
(pausing) Save you? From what?😕
Kian Solis (ML 1)
(grimly) From Seraphina. You defied her once, and it cost you your life.
Lila stops, her breath catching. She grips the journal tighter as fragmented memories flash in her mind—a younger version of herself, dressed in medieval attire, shielding Kian with her body as Seraphina’s wrath 😡consumed them both.
Lila Rivers (FL)
(shaking her head) I don’t remember any of this.
Kian Solis (ML 1)
You will. The cathedral holds the key to unlocking your memories—and the curse.
They step inside the cathedral, the air thick with decay and magic. The once-majestic hall is now in ruins, vines creeping up the walls. At the center, a massive altar crackles with dark energy. The crest of intertwined swords is carved into its surface.
Lila Rivers (FL)
(approaching the altar) This… this is the same crest ⚔️from the journal.📔
Before Kian can respond, the room trembles. A deep, mocking laugh echoes around them. Seraphina materializes, her crimson gown flowing like liquid fire, her eyes glowing with malice.
Queen Seraphina (villain)
Did you think you could hide from me😏, Kian? Or that she would save you again😤?
Kian steps in front of Lila, his sword drawn, the blade glowing faintly.
Kian Solis (ML 1)
(coldly) 😠It’s over, Seraphina. The curse ends tonight.
Queen Seraphina (villain)
(smirking) Oh, my dear knight, the curse isn’t a chain—it’s a gift. One you’ve squandered for centuries.
With a wave of her hand, shadowy creatures emerge from the corners of the cathedral, their crimson eyes fixed on Lila.
Lila Rivers (FL)
(panicking😱) Kian, what are those things?!
Kian Solis (ML 1)
(firmly) Wraiths. Stay behind me.
As Kian charges into battle, his sword slashing through the wraiths, Seraphina advances toward Lila, her voice dripping with venom.
Queen Seraphina (villain)
Did he tell you the truth, little historian? Did he tell you that your soul is bound to mine as well?
Queen Seraphina (villain)
😏😈😈
Lila Rivers (FL)
(stammering😣) "What are you talking about?"
Queen Seraphina (villain)
(grinning) You were my apprentice once, my protégé. You betrayed me for him. And now, you’ll betray him for me.
Lila’s head spins💫 as flashes of her past life overwhelm her: studying magic under Seraphina’s tutelage, falling in love with Kian, and turning against her mentor to protect him. Her knees buckle, and she clutches the altar for support.
Kian Solis (ML 1)
(shouting) Lila, don’t listen to her!
Queen Seraphina (villain)
(whispering) But you feel it, don’t you? The pull of the power we shared. Join me again, and I’ll give you everything you’ve ever desired. Even him.
Lila looks up, her eyes meeting Seraphina’s. For a moment, doubt flickers across her face. But then she sees Kian, battered but still fighting for her. Her grip on the journal tightens.
Lila Rivers (FL)
(firmly) No. I won’t be your pawn.
The journal bursts into light, and the crest on the altar glows in response. Lila’s voice echoes with power as ancient words spill from her lips, words she didn’t know she knew.
Lila Rivers (FL)
By the threads 🧵of fate, by the lives entwined, I break this curse!
A blinding light engulfs the cathedral. The wraiths dissolve into smoke, and Seraphina screams in rage as the magic binds her. Kian stumbles toward Lila, his hand outstretched.
Lila reaches for him, but the altar’s energy surges, separating them. When the light fades, Seraphina is gone, and Kian collapses, the crest on his armor shattered.
Lila Rivers (FL)
(kneeling beside him) 🧎♀️Kian! Stay with me!
He smiles weakly, his hand brushing her cheek.😊
Kian Solis (ML 1)
You broke the curse… but the bond is fading. I’m free… but I can’t stay.
Lila Rivers (FL)
(tears streaming) No. You can’t leave me. Not again.
Kian’s form begins to fade, his body turning to light. But as he disappears, a single glowing thread remains, connecting his heart to hers.
Kian Solis (ML 1)
(his voice echoing) This isn’t the end, Lila. We’ll find each other again. We always do.
The thread vanishes, and Lila is left alone in the silent cathedral. She clutches the journal to her chest, her tears falling onto its worn cover. Outside, the first rays of dawn break through the mist.
