*Mia lived with her father in New York since Childhood, but now they were planning to move to lived with her Mother*

Dad, what are you saying I can’t live with mom, I haven’t since her since my thirteenth birthday

Don’t worry, your mother is just busy that’s why you hardly see her

* hugs her father* promise you will visit

* And the time came when Mia bid her dad goodbye as she got in the next flight to Hongkong, she landed and she was greeted by her mother, Sue was a very young woman and she acted like quite a teenager, Sue took her daughter to her massive house but Mia wasn’t impressed she wasn’t ready to bond with her mom*
Mrs Sue
We are here darling * they got out of the car and walked into the fancy house*
Mrs Sue
Goodness gracious I missed you so much, your dad kept you away from me all this years but now I have you right here, we can bond finally
Mia
What do you mean dad kept me away from you
Mrs Sue
Darling we talk about it later, just get some rest ok

*The very next morning Mia was woken up for school by her mother, the driver took Mia to her new school, it was much bigger than her old school , Mia stepped out but Mrs Sue stopped her*
Mrs Sue
Dear take good care of yourself and don’t worry I told your teachers that you are not from here and they will help you
Narrator
* after Mrs Sue left, Mia turned to leave but she bumped into a girl with long black hair, the girl apologised and so did Mia, The girl introduced herself as Mei Lee, she was in the student body in charge of showing newcomers around, Mia was pleased she made a friend without any trouble*

* During lunch time, Mei taught Mia how things were in their school but as they were talking a girl with curly black hair and an attitude walked up to them with her minions, the girl was Ming Jin the daughter to a billionaire father who owns a tech company *
Ming Jing
I need you and your ugly new friend to leave this table now

* Mia hardly understood what she was saying cause she spoke in Chinese, so Mia played dumb and that annoyed Ming Jing who taught the girl was making fun of her, Ming Jing walked up to Mia but Mei stopped her and told her to stop bullying or she will be reported, Ming Jing rolled her eyes and left*

* Afterward, Mei explained everything to Mia, Mia felt annoyed but Mei reassured her that she will help her in learning the language, later Mia went home and saw her mother upset, she asked what was wrong, Mrs Sue tried to hide it but Mia was persistent *
Mrs Sue
Your father is getting remarried
Narrator
* it made sense now to Mia, her parents filed a divorce and Mia was sent to live with her mother while her father started a new life*
Mrs Sue
I’m sorry for not being there often but don’t worry I’ll make up for all the lost times
Mia
How could he not tell me before going on with this
Mrs Sue

* Mrs Sue saw how the revelation affected Mia so to lighten the mood she took her daughter out for dinner in a nice restaurant as they talked and laughed and soon Mia warmed up to her Mother*
* At school the next day, Mei was too sick to come and Mia was alone as she kept to herself but Ming Jing found every way to pester her*
Ming Jing
Where’s your body guard princess * laughs*
Mia
Feeling ill where’s yours?
Ming Jing
Watch your mouth loser, people like you don’t belong here * walks away*
*Mia smiled to herself as she walked around her school there she came upon a lovely garden flowers of different kinds and it looked pretty, she entered the garden admiring the flowers as she walked closer to some beautiful red roses, she saw three boys arguing as they saw Mia, the girl was surprised and startled as she rushed to leave but bumped her head on a statute and blacked out*
*a while later, she was awoken by whisper, she opened her eyes slowly to see the three of them staring at her and they looked breathtaking*
Jay
No, I think she is waking up
Xiao Han
She looks familiar
*Mia rose up as she saw how close they were as she turned to leave again, she bumped into the wall and fell unconscious again*
*Mia woke up in the nurses office, she saw Mei beside her and she was worried*
Mei Lee
What’s wrong with you Mia you had me worried
Mia
But I thought you were sick
Mei Lee
I was but when I realized it wasn’t serious I came to school to make the most of it and I was told you bumped your head twice
Mei Lee
And I was told the trios brought you here
Mei Lee
* sighs* The Trios, Xiao Han, Xing Hun and Jay didn’t you met them
Mia
* remembers * what about them
Mei Lee
They are trouble Mia stay away from them, they are billionaire’s sons and they are known to be players, don’t fall for their silly charms ok

* winces in pain as her head hurts*

* After Mia left the nurse office, Mei was called for a students meeting and she told Mia to wait for her after school and warned her not to try anything stupid, Mia nodded *
* Mia sat on a bench and was on her phone, she felt someone walked up to her she looked up and saw Xiao Han, he stared at her like she had two heads, Mia didn’t know how to react, so she simply stood up *
Xiao Han
Be careful not to bump your head again * smirked*
* Mia was embarrassed, she turned to face Xiao Han not knowing he was close to her and bumped her head on his chest*
Xiao Han
I’m amazed this lamb has a voice
* She was annoyed at his teasing then she remembered what Mei told her*
Xiao Han
So what are you thinking Lamb?
*Mia turned to leave but Xiao Han held her arm and reached into his pocket and placed something in her hands and left with a smirk*
*She slowly looked at the thing he gave her and they were pair of glasses and a note saying” you need this to avoid bumping into places”,she was frustrated but he was gone as she looked up*
Mia
* sights Mei and hid the glasses in her bag* what took you so long
Mei Lee
Sorry, I had to submit some attendance of the student programs and I lost track of time
* The two girls went home and Mei opened up telling Mia how her family were poor and how she got to the school on scholarship, Mia felt bad for Mei, they talked more and eventually Mei entered a bus home as Mia decided to walk home*
*A couple of Months later, Mrs Sue threw a party for her company success and the party was luxurious, Mrs Sue invited her friends and other rich and influential people and most of Mia classmates were there especially the Trios and Ming Jing*
* Mia tried calling Mei to invite her but Mei was too busy at home and without her friend at the party, the party seemed boring so she walked up to the balcony admiring the city lights but then someone joined her, It was Xing Hun, his glorious grey hair shone as his dreamy eyes met hers*
Xing Hun
Look who it is, Xiao Han’s lamb
Xing Hun
Calm down feisty,it’s just a joke
Xing Hun
So what are you doing here when the party is in there
* then her phone rang up, it was a notification, she looked at it with a tearful smile, Xing Hun noticed*
Mia
It’s nothing just my friends from New York
* Xing Hun smiled then there was an awkward silence but finally he broke the silence*
Mia
*silent for a while* My parents had a divorce, so I had to with my mom here
Xing Hun
I’m sorry about it, it must be hard for you
* they were interrupted as Jay entered*
Jay
Sorry to ruin this precious moment but Xing Hun, Xiao Han is looking for you
* And with that the two left, Mrs Sue eventually took her daughter to some guests and introduced her to them, later on an old lady asked Mia to help her grab a bag from her car and she went since she was her mother’s close friend *
*she got to the lady’s car and got out the bag as she was leaving, she overhead people talking as she tried to listen closer, then she saw the Trios talking*
Xing Hun
Ok guys I’m done with the bet, what we are doing is wrong
Jay
But it’s just for fun and besides she will not take it seriously
Xiao Han
*scoffs* and besides the girl is too weak can’t wait to make her fall for me and you loser will have to pay me 10 million each
Mia
*surprised*Mei was right they are players
Xing Hun
I’m getting tired of being tagged a playboy and how will you think Mia will feel being played by the three of us
Jay
She doesn’t have to know, so stop acting like a weakling
* The trio left as Mei stayed at her spot speechless *
