03

That morning, Amanda stared at herself in the mirror as usual.

But this time, her gaze was different. There was a deeper frustration. The feeling of not being enough, which had been slowly enveloping her, and all the efforts she had made earlier had failed. The breast enlargement pills she had taken were now finished, but they didn’t provide the results she wanted. Yoga that she had tried only made her feel more stressed.

She thought hard.

Then, she found a solution that seemed to be the answer. She remembered Clara, a friend of hers, who had previously shared information about a plastic surgeon who could perform injections and surgery to enlarge her chest. Without a second thought, Amanda decided to go to that doctor.

That afternoon, Amanda was already in the waiting room of the clinic.

She sat in a chair, her hands trembling, waiting for her turn to enter the consultation room. Despite feeling anxious, there was a spark of hope inside her. Hope that after this, she could look the way she had always imagined—and maybe, if she felt good about herself, she could be happier.

Her husband, Ryan, who had asked earlier in the morning why Amanda seemed so serious, didn’t know what she was planning. Amanda didn’t want to tell him because she knew Ryan would try to stop her. But this time, Amanda felt that this was the right decision. Ryan had already given her the money for this procedure, so there was no reason not to go through with it.

"Good afternoon, Amanda," a nurse's voice snapped her out of her thoughts. "The doctor will see you in the consultation room."

Amanda stood up, nodded, and walked to the doctor's office. Her emotions were a mix of nervousness, unease, and anticipation for the change she so desperately wanted.

The plastic surgeon walked into the room a few minutes later.

"Welcome, Amanda. What can I help you with?" The doctor greeted her with a smile.

Amanda started the conversation. "I… want to undergo a procedure to enlarge my chest. I want to feel more confident."

The doctor nodded seriously. "I understand. We can perform either an injection procedure or even surgery to achieve the results you desire. However, you should know that there are significant risks involved, and the results are not always as expected."

Amanda nodded. "I'm ready. I want to do it."

After explaining the procedure and its risks in more detail, the doctor left her with a clear choice. Amanda listened, but her mind was already set. The only thing that mattered to her now was the final result—she wanted to see a tangible change.

As Amanda entered the operating room, the atmosphere outside felt so different.

Her thoughts were filled with visions of an ideal body, a feeling of no longer being anxious. Ryan didn’t know what was going on. Amanda felt that for the first time, she was in control of her own life.

However, as she lay on the operating table, surrounded by medical equipment, a wave of nervousness began to creep in. So many questions flooded her mind—did she really want this? Had she fully considered the risks?

But suddenly, the door to the operating room opened, and Ryan walked in, looking furious.

"Amanda!" Ryan shouted, his voice filled with tension.

Amanda froze. Her body stiffened, and her heart raced.

"What are you doing here?" Ryan stormed over to Amanda, pulling her out of the bed with a swift, forceful movement, ignoring the doctor's and nurse's attempts to calm him down.

"What’s going on? Why are you here?" Amanda couldn’t find the words to respond. Her eyes widened in shock.

Ryan stared at her, his anger growing. "You think this is the solution? You want to take this kind of risk just because of your insecurities? Are you out of your mind, Amanda?"

Amanda could only lower her gaze. She felt confused, torn between wanting to cry and feeling utterly ashamed.

"You don’t need to do this, Amanda," Ryan continued in a softer, but firm tone. "I married you for who you are. This isn’t the right way to fix yourself. You don’t need to become someone else for me."

Amanda bit her lip. All of Ryan’s words were starting to reach her, but the insecurity that had been planted deep inside her wasn’t easy to erase.

"Ryan," Amanda whispered. "I just want to feel enough. I feel like... like you deserve more."

Ryan’s heart broke at the sight of Amanda like this. He gently cupped her face with his hands, forcing her to look into his eyes. "Listen to me, love. You are more than enough for me. Don’t let these feelings of insecurity ruin you. I love you for who you are."

But Amanda still couldn’t shake the feeling that she wasn’t enough. Everything she had tried—whether it was the pills, the yoga, or this surgery—seemed to fall short of filling the emptiness inside her.

As Ryan decided to take Amanda out of the clinic, he felt defeated.

On the way home, Amanda remained silent. The stillness in the car was suffocating, with only the sound of the engine filling the space. Ryan stared at the road, his hands gripping the steering wheel tightly.

"Amanda," Ryan said, his voice heavy, "you have to know, what you’re feeling is important. But you need to learn to love yourself first, before we can truly love each other better. I’ll always be here for you, but I can’t keep trying to fix your insecurities for you."

Amanda looked down, tears starting to well up in her eyes. "I just want to be better, Ryan," she whispered.

Ryan pulled Amanda into his arms, feeling the weight of his own heart. "You’re already more than enough. Don’t let that insecurity tear us apart."

But inside, Amanda knew, that feeling of not being enough was still there. Even though Ryan kept telling her she was enough, Amanda wasn’t sure if she could ever feel that way.

That night, Ryan felt utterly broken.

He went to the bar, wanting to clear his mind after everything that had happened with Amanda. His thoughts were a whirlwind, full of confusion. He didn’t know what to do anymore. Amanda kept feeling like she wasn’t enough, and he had no idea how to fix it.

At the bar, Ryan sat alone in a corner, ordering a strong drink to calm the tension inside him. Without realizing it, his gaze landed on a woman sitting not far from him. She was perfect. Full, curvaceous chest, stunning face, and an aura of confidence that radiated from her. Ryan felt an undeniable pull, even though in his heart, he knew this was a mistake.

The woman smiled at him. "Hey, you seem like you need someone to talk to," she said softly.

Ryan nodded, feeling trapped in the strange atmosphere. He felt disconnected from the emotional chaos swirling inside him. "I... I’m feeling confused. I have a wife, but she keeps feeling like she’s not enough. I don’t know what to do anymore."

The woman moved closer, sitting next to him, gently rubbing the back of his hand. "Maybe you just need some time for yourself. All relationships have their problems, no one’s perfect."

Ryan, drunk and overwhelmed, started to unload his feelings. "I just want her to feel enough, but she won’t. And now, I feel trapped."

In his drunken state, Ryan made a huge mistake. He slept with the woman, despite knowing in his heart that he had just betrayed his wife.

The next morning, Ryan woke up in an unfamiliar place.

He blinked, feeling the intense headache from the alcohol. As he looked around, everything seemed blurry. His heart began to race as he realized what had happened the night before. In his drunken state, he had betrayed Amanda—the woman he had always loved.

In that moment, he knew everything had changed.
