Chapter 4

I was about asking more questions when he leisurely strolled into the class and took his seat making me shut my mouth immediately. I felt his gaze linger on me for a few seconds before looking away and I felt a wave of relief when he did so. I didn’t notice that I had been sweating at gently patted my face with my hanky. For the rest of the day I was on my best behavior and instantly rushed out of the class as soon as the bell was rung signifying the end of the school day. On getting to the school gates I noticed a familiar sports car parked at the side and I couldn’t stop the smile blooming on my face locking eyes with my elder brother Christin. He had a bouqyof lilies in his arms and waved at me “ I’m back ! “ she said and I rushed over excitedly. He had gone to Paris some years ago to finish his college education and I had missed him dearly. He was 8 years older than me but we were still very close “ when did you arrive ?! “ “ just a few minutes ago ! Figured I would pick you up since we would both be heading to the same destination anyways ! I brought a lot of gifts although they’ve already been sent home ! “ “ then what are we still waiting for ? let’s go ! “ I said excitedly getting into the car and pulled him along totally forgetting to greet Isa goodbye. Arriving at the Noir Mansion aka my house I realized something and excused myself form Christin heading towards the already fixed floor board form 3 years ago and cracked it open. Thankfully the book was still there and I carefully brought it out once again. I realized I didn’t finish the entry the last time and continued scheming through it finding out everything that had occurred was documented from meeting Brian to my brother coming back. I was starting to get engrossed in it when Christin’s voice brought me back “ Chris ! What are you reading ? “ “ nothing much ! “ I said trying to casually hide the book. He didn’t seem suspicious and instead led me to the living room where I found a mountain of gifts waiting for me. “ hey Christin ! Are this all for me ! “ he only smiled and nudged me toward. I found a card gently placed at the side and picked it up to read. “ for all the moments I had missed to get you something! “ my mouth twitched at my brother’s unreasonability at times but nether the less I was curious what he had bout and picked up a box from the pile. I opened it and inside was a hair band that had a special design that sparkled. On it we’re my initials CN and I instantly guessed that it didn’t come cheap. I was a bit bothered but knowing my brother I just took it as a way of him showing his affection for me. It wasn’t the only item in the box and I brought out similar hair accessories like it. I was about opening the next box when the doorbell rang which was really really rare. I looked at the butler wanting to ask if we were expecting visitors but before I could do so my dad came down from his study and walked to answer the door himself “ looks like they finally arrived ! “ he said passing by “ who arrived ? “ “ the andrews ! “ “ the what now ?! “ I was about to confirm if it was the same andrews family and got my answer when the door was opened and a figure that I feared appeared.
