Short Stories: Velvet Desires! (Taekook)
Runaway Bride! #1
“You see, we’re not someone else’s puppets, no matter how many strings they pull. We make our own choices, and we live for ourselves—because in the end, the only life that matters is the one we choose to live.”
The grand hall was alive with music and chatter, but inside a lavishly decorated room, Kim Taehyung stood in front of the mirror, tugging nervously at his pristine wedding suit.
His heart thumped erratically, not with excitement, but dread.
The reality of marrying someone he didn’t love was sinking in fast.
Kim Taehyung
Taehyung! (he whispered to his reflection)
Kim Taehyung
You can’t do this. You’re way too fabulous to settle for this.
With a deep breath, he adjusted the glittering veil he had insisted on wearing—because why not make a statement—and decided he was done playing the dutiful son.
Taehyung tiptoed through the chaos, his veil trailing behind him like a rebellious flag.
He reached the back exit, opened the door, and took a step into freedom—only to feel the heel of his polished shoe snag on his veil.
Kim Taehyung
Wait, no—! (he cried, flailing as he tripped over the offending fabric)
He landed unceremoniously in an alley, sprawled across the dirty ground.
Before he could even sit up, the low, rumbling growl of a motorcycle echoed through the alley.
Taehyung looked up, wide-eyed, as a sleek black bike came to a screeching halt inches from his face.
Jeon Jungkook (Rider)
Woah there, runaway bride! (a deep, amused voice drawled)
The rider pulled off his helmet, revealing messy black hair, sharp eyes, and a smirk that screamed trouble.
Jungkook tilted his head, looking Taehyung up and down.
Jeon Jungkook (Rider)
Uh, are you… okay? (Jungkook asked, trying to keep a straight face as he took in the sight of Taehyung sprawled in a glittering suit and veil)
Taehyung pushed himself up, dusting off his pristine attire.
Kim Taehyung
Do I look okay? I’m a mess! And it’s your fault for parking your death machine here! 💢
Jungkook raised an eyebrow.
Jeon Jungkook (Rider)
You tripped on your own veil, princess.
Taehyung scowled but didn’t argue.
Kim Taehyung
Whatever. Just… pretend you didn’t see me. I’m in the middle of a very dramatic escape.
Jungkook leaned against his bike, grinning.
Jeon Jungkook (Rider)
A dramatic escape, huh? From what?
Kim Taehyung
My wedding! (Taehyung muttered, avoiding his gaze)
Jeon Jungkook (Rider)
You? Running away from a wedding? I like you already. 😏
Taehyung narrowed his eyes.
Kim Taehyung
Look, Mr. Leather Jacket, I don’t have time for—
Jeon Jungkook (Rider)
Jungkook! (he interrupted, holding out his hand)
Jeon Jungkook (Rider)
And you’re lucky I’m a sucker for drama. Hop on. 😏
Kim Taehyung
Hop on what? (Taehyung asked, blinking)
Jungkook gestured to his motorcycle.
Jeon Jungkook (Rider)
The ‘death machine.’ Unless you’d rather go back inside and say ‘I do.’
For a moment, Taehyung hesitated.
Then, with a determined nod, he lifted his veil and climbed onto the bike.
Kim Taehyung
Fine. But if I die, I’m haunting you. 😤
Jungkook chuckled, revving the engine.
Jeon Jungkook (Rider)
Deal. Hold on tight, runaway bride. 😏
As they sped off into the city, Taehyung couldn’t help but smile, the wind pulling his veil like a banner of freedom behind them.

Bro, what if he was a bad guy? 😐 You really need to learn some survival skills. Me and my paranoid mind could never go off with a stranger like that 😭
