A Royal Apology

Nathan couldn't believe the Prince's behavior. He had never seen Alexander so angry and vindictive. The maid was shaking and apologetic, and yet Alexander had reported her to the Queen.

As they left the Queen's chambers, Nathan confronted Alexander. "What was that all about? You completely overreacted!"

Alexander face was still red with anger. "She was careless and deserved to be punished."

Nathan's anger flared. "Punished? You're the one who needs to learn to control your temper!"

Alexander looked taken aback by Nathan's outburst. "How dare you speak to me like that?"

Nathan stood his ground. "I dare because someone needs to tell you that your behavior was unacceptable. You're the Prince, not a tyrant!"

Alexander's expression changed from anger to shock, and then to something else...something that looked like humility.

"Nathan, I...I'm sorry. You're right. I overreacted."

Nathan's anger slowly dissipated, replaced by surprise. "You're apologizing to me?"

Alexander nodded, looking sheepish. "Yes, I was wrong. Can you forgive me?"

Nathan's anger and hurt didn't dissipate easily. He couldn't believe Alexander's behavior and how he had humiliated the maid.

"I don't know if I can forgive you, Alex," Nathan said, his voice cold and distant. "You really hurt me and that poor maid."

Alexander's face fell, and he looked desperate. "Nathan, please! I'll do anything to make it right. I was wrong, and I know it."

But Nathan just shook his head and walked away. Alexander followed him, begging for forgiveness, but Nathan refused to listen.

It wasn't until Alexander was on his knees, tears streaming down his face, that Nathan finally stopped and turned around.

"Nathan, please!" Alexander sobbed. "I'll do anything! Just forgive me!"

Nathan's heart ached at the sight of Alexander so broken and vulnerable. He slowly walked back to Alexander and helped him up.

"Okay, Alex. I forgive you. But promise me you'll work on your temper and treat others with kindness."

Alexander nodded eagerly, still sniffling. "I promise, Nathan. I'll do anything to regain your trust and respect."

Nathan smiled and hugged Alexander tightly. "I know you will, Alexander. We'll work on it together."

As they hugged, Alexander felt a sense of relief wash over him. He knew he had hurt Nathan deeply, but he was determined to make it right.

"Thank you, Nathan," Alexander said, his voice muffled against Nathan's shoulder. "I promise to be more mindful of my actions and to always treat you with the respect and kindness you deserve."

Nathan pulled back and looked at Alexander with a serious expression. "I know you will, Alexander . And I'll be here to support you every step of the way."

Alexander smiled, feeling a sense of gratitude towards Nathan. He knew he didn't deserve Nathan's forgiveness, but he was determined to make the most of it.

And he sure wasn't going forgive that maid for giving a bad impression of him
