Take responsibility

"I will not marry you," she said with firmly, her words a declaration of her unwavering resolve.

He laughed, a harsh, bitter sound that echoed the turmoil within him. "Because of your sister's mistake," he said his voice raising unknowingly when he talk about her sister. "because of her reckless actions, why should we suffer? Why should our family bear the disgrace?".

His words were a cruel accusation, a blame laid squarely on her shoulders. She felt a surge of anger, a fire igniting within her. This wasn't her fault, it wasn't her responsibility. She wasn't to blame for her sister's choices.

"This isn't my fault," she protested, her voice rising, her spirit defiant. "I'm not responsible for what my sister did."

He stepped closer, his eyes narrowing, his face hardening. "Take responsibility," he commanded. "Take responsibility for what your sister did. This marriage is the only way to repair the damage, the only way to save our family's reputation." Said coldly while raising his voice at her.

Rashi father clench his fist and thinking "The echoes of his words, his cruel, contemptuous tone, rang in my ears. How dare he speak to my daughter like that? The girl I'd nurtured, cherished, loved. The girl I'd always protected. I have never raised my voice on my daughters. How dare he raise his voice on my daughter?. A wave of self-doubt washed over me. Had I made a mistake? Had I been wrong to choose him for my daughter? To believe my friend promises, his assurances? To trust him with her happiness? The weight of that question pressed down upon me, suffocating me. Then, I feel like my daughter did right thing to running away from this marriage. If I know my friend son is like this I should have helped her to runaway from this marriage."

He sighed heavily and thought " I should have investigate about him before marriage. What have I done to my daughter?, I almost ruin..." Then he suddenly Come into his senses when he heard his daughter voice.

"I won't be forced into a marriage I don't want," she said with firm tone. "I won't let you control me. I won't take responsibility for something I didn't do." She said while looking at his eyes.

He paused, his eyes narrowed, his anger simmering just beneath the surface. He hadn't expected this resistance, this defiance. He would thought that she would be easy to control, easy to manipulate. He was wrong.

Rashi father "That's my daughter, Don't need to be afraid of a small cockroach. I am here, I will crush that small cockroach for you. Sweetheart " thinking proudly while nodding his head.

Luka father looked at Rashi father "What happened to him? Don't tell me because of Ramya did he become crazy?". He is thinking while looking at him.

Luka studied her, his gaze lingering on her face, a strange mixture of anger and respect flickering in his eyes. He would underestimated her. He would underestimated the strength of her spirit. He knew, in that moment, that this wouldn't be easy. This battle, this fight for her own self, was just beginning.

Luka ran a hand through his hair, his gaze darting between his parents and Rashi's parents. The tension in the room was palpable, thick enough to cut with a knife. He needed a moment, a private moment, to talk to Rashi, to try and salvage what remained.

"I want to speak with Rashi alone," Luka said.
