Chapter 3: An Exuberant Gust of Wind

***********************************************************

A new school day. Going to school, I was strolling past a large three-story mansion with police officers blocking the gate. Other students walk behind or in front of me, so I'm not alone while walking. I suppose I overheard them talking about what happened in that large mansion.

GIRLS at my back.

Girl 1: "I heard my parents talking about how our neighborhood have become so dangerous"

Girl 2: "I agree, they told me to be careful and go home early"

Girl 1" Ow, also I overheard them that what happen here, is someone get murder and he is super rich"

Two girls: "Yeah he is rich one of my fathers' investor but rumors also cling around him."

Girl 1: "Like, what rumors?"

Girl 2: 'Like he abused his own family even killed his  wife for the company he now owns. But guest what he is dead now and just his one son will have the rights to take all what his been striving for."

Girl 1: "Hey, but they claim it's just a rumor that he killed his wife?"

Because I was eavesdropping, I was unaware that I was now in front of the school gate and would soon be entering the building. And I felt a pleasant breeze lightly brush against my cheeks. As soon as I walk inside the school, time flies by until lunchtime.

Whenever I have lunch money, Emily and I always eat together.

Suddenly, she said, "Always be careful going home alone. How about I drop you off to your place before I go home?"

In order to ease her anxiety, I sounded quite reassuring when I said, "I am fine."

After the lunch break, time flies by. I waved to my devoted friend Emily as I said goodbye at the gates. I was on my way to the noodle house for my part-time work when I heard someone says.

"How about your money, give it to us!" ---

I don't want to bother them about what they've been doing, but they are literally on the little space that I am walking as a shortcut to the noodle house.

I ask in a monotone, "Can you excuse me?!" so people won't assume I'm trying to talk over them.

He asked mockingly, "What did you say little miss?" with his brown eyes, short curly black hair, a flat six-foot frame, a black t-shirt, and loose-fitting maong pants characterize this typical gangster type.

"Little miss..." I said mockingly to myself before turning to face him. I am quite irritable about my height.

READY TO KILL

I kick him in the jaw right away, then give him a straight jab. I then whirl around to get some flare, and then I give him a round house kick from behind. Guaranteeing that he would be left to sleep on the nearby wall.

"Are you a-also going to hit me?" I heard a small murmur, which I believe was coming from the victim of bullying, the other person.

I turn to see who it is, and "You??" Felix Leandro, Leandro's kid, is now my younger brother via Boss Q.

Now he goes by Alex Almilla.

10 years old, no mother and a millionaire by the age of 18.

With a straight face and a distant gaze, "No, I am not going to hit you."

"T-than--" -Alex

As I wave my hand to signal that I would be departing first. I say, "Don't ever thank me I didn't save you, it just happen that I use this way going to the shop, okay?"

At the noodle shop. I change into my uniform and clock in right away.

In the kitchen; I question him irritably, "Boss, why did you let the boy out?"

He responded to me as he was making the noodles on table 5 by saying,

"It's okay you should let him play." I quickly leave the kitchen and go to the counter after making a frown.

I noticed Alex strolling toward the back of the store as I was sitting at the counter, and I could feel the fresh air blowing through him. For once, perhaps

I would like to protect him, my family.
