chapter 5: Temptations

As Raven hold her ground the vampire's attacked again. This time Raven dodged it but still got scraped on the arm. She realised she was in trouble because the smell of her blood made them even more aggressive.

Blake and Ash was walking in the school halls when suddenly Blake stopped:" Whats wrong?" Ash asked. Blake could smell the blood of Raven but he knew Ash might not be able to control himself:" It's Raven, she's bleeding. I sense 3 blood suckers that is surrounding her." Ash's face expression turned into worry. He used his super speed and and went in Ravens direction and Blake followed.

Meanwhile the vampire's were about to attack Raven again but Raven used her shield ability. But even if it stopped them she could only hold it for a few seconds before her power was drained. Raven fell to her knees tired and in pain:" Look boys, the all powerful witch has been exhausted." The woman laughed as her eyes turned blood red and her fangs started showing:" Like i promised. It's feeding time." Just before they could move towards Raven Ash appeard and grabbed the 2 guys by neck, he lifted them up and slammed them into the ground head first. They started bleeding and crying out in pain. The woman tried to run off but was met by Blake that back handed her into a wall knocking the woman out. The guys quickly got up and carried the woman with them away. Ash turned his attention to Raven but as he stepped closer he saw she was bleeding. His eyes turned black as he pulled his head away and took 3 steps back. He used all his strength to keep himself from hurting her.Blake saw this and stepped forward:" I'll take care of her. You go sort yourself out." He put his firm arms around Ravens weakened body and lifted her. Blake carried Raven to the car and gentle layed her down on the back seat. He started driving back towards the house as fast as possible.

Meanwhile Ace was in his office busy taking care of paperwork when his phone started ringing:" Ace speaking." He answered the phone:" Even Ace im misses Rose's neighbour, im calling to ask if you heard anything from your aunt?" A woman's voice started speaking. Ace felt like is blood went cold:" No i haven't been in touch with her, is she alright?" The woman sighed and continued:" Usually i see her in the morning watering her plants, but the last 3 days she didn't water her plants as usual." Ace's chest tightened of worry when he heard this:" The one thing that Aunt Rose never forgets is her plants. I'll take plain tomorrow to come and check, thank you for letting me know." He put down his phone when suddenly the front door crashed open:" Ace! I need help!" Ace ran down the stairs when he heard Blake. Blake had Raven in his arms and Ace's blood started boiling of anger when he saw is sister. They took Raven to the couch in the living room and gently layed her down. She had a fever and was shaking:" What happened, and were is Ash?" Ace asked:" Three students from the school, vampires. They attached Raven but the thing is i don't recognise them. Perhaps new students or they already know where she is." Blake quickly explained:" I told Ash to sort himself out because she has a cut on her shoulder." Ace kneeled down by Ravens side and investigated her wound:" The blade had poison on." The wound started making black stripes. Ace waved his hand around, he gently place his hand on her wound. His eyes started glowing yellowish. He pulled his hand slowly and steady away from the wound, as he did a bubble with black liquid in came out. The wound started bleeding clean blood and the lines disappeared. The bubble with the poison in was floating above Ace's left hand, he put his right hand above the bubble and mad it burn:" I believe she'll be fine now, give her some of the healing tea so that the shock in her body can calm down." Blake nodded and made her some tea. Ace went to call Ash:" Hey Ace, please tell me she's fine." Ash asked:" Yip she's safe, i took out the poison." Ash sighed with relief:" Thank god, listen im here at the attackers house, I'll send you my location." Ace said his on his way and went out the door telling Blake to look after Raven.

After an hour Raven finally woke up. She had a huge headache but managed to sit up straight. Raven looked around her and realised she was back in the house. She saw Blake was asleep on the couch next yo her:" Blake?" He slowly opened his eyes but when he saw Raven was awake he sprang up to his feet and made his way to her side. He put his hand on her head to feel the temperature:" Your temperature is back to normal, how to you feel." Blake asked with concern:" My head is hurting a little and my power is still low." Blake sighed in relief and smiled:" You know you made us all worry about you, you should be more careful." Raven couldn't stop staring into his grey eyes, it memorized her:" Were you born with that colour?" Blake nodded:" Yes, why you ask?" Raven reached her hand and followed the scar on his left cheek:" I don't know.....it reminds me of someone but i don't know who." They looked at each other and suddenly Blake stood up:" Don't know. Im gonna check on Ace and Ash." He walked out the room and made a call. Raven got flash backs of running around in the woods with a little boy but she can't remember his face only the scar and eyes. Blake returned saying:" Ash and Ace is fine, they took care of those 3 that attached you. Their going to stay at a hotel for tonight." Raven nodded. But she couldn't stop thinking of how useless she was. Raven started thinking of how she could've protected her mother if only she knew. She felt frustrated and stood up to go to the garden by the river to clear her mind. Meanwhile Ash came in the house and Blake asked:" Thought you would stay in an hotel tonight:" ash took of his jacket:" yea well someone needs to be here and look after Raven. It's full moon tonight." Blake sighed:" Don't even remind me. By the way, she's at the river if you want to know." He stood up and made his way to the basement. Ash stepped outside to check on Raven.

Blake locked the basement door and walked to the chains. He started putting the chains on but as he was doing so he fell to the ground in pain. He tried putting the chains on as quickly as possible but started screaming from the pain. His bones started to break and reform. Blake slammed himself against the wall repeatedly. The screams went on and on until there was silence. In the darkness al you could see was his grey glowing eyes, with growling sounds. One by one the chains snapped until it was loose. He went straight through the door and got outside running into the woods. Ash found Raven at the river:" Hey, you alright." Raven looked at Ash and said:" Im fine. Thanks for saving me back their." Ash smiled:" Your brother did most of the saving, he's the one that took out the poison." Raven looked shocked but then she remembered how her brother helped her:" You know if it wasn't for him i would probably be on the streets killing people." Raven looked at Ash puzzled:" It's true. He saved me and took me in. Round about five years ago i was 14 and very ill. My parents both was vampires, normally you would think that i should've inherited the blood line but i didn't. I was human. The elders said it was rare but it was possible. I was born a hybrid, half human half vampire, so in order to activate my vampire blood i would have to drink both my parents blood and be killed. But only on my 16th birthday. The sickness i had was already killing me from inside, so my parents activated my vampire blood line when i was only 14. It was illegal in our family to turn a child before before the sixteen." Ash paused and swallowed hard before continuing:" That night my parents was executed and burned to ashes. Before they could kill me i made a run for it. Two years i was on the streets killing people. Ace stumbled upon me one night. He took me in." Raven was speechless:" I'm not saying you should forgive and forget because he did leave you, but remember that he came back for you." Ash walked away leaving Raven in wonder. Raven sat down on the grass and thought of what Ash have said. Raven decided to go back to the house. When she arrived she saw Blake in the kitchen. His back had claw marks on and his shoulder had bruses:" What the hell happened to you?" Blake was trying to reach his back and clean the claw marks with detel:" Non of your business." He said in a painful voice. Raven sighed and said:" Follow me." Blake followed Raven into the bathroom and Raven helped him to clean the claw marks. She gently put her hand on his muscular shoulder. After putting a plaster on Raven saw another wound on his chest. She moved to stand between Blake and the sinc. As she cleaned his wound her heart started raising. Blake gently took her hand and the stared into each others eyes. Blake leaned forward and whispered with his deep voice:" Your heartbeat is uneven." Their faces was inches away from each other. Raven felt her face face and body getting warmer with every second. Blake gently took held her by the waist and pulled her body against his, making Raven breath heavy. Finally the cap between them was closed with Blake putting his lips against Raven's, passionately kissing her. Raven brush her hand through Blake's white hair. Blake slipped his hands  under Ravens shirt and held her tightly against him. The tension and passion between them broke when Blake suddenly pulled back:" No. We can't." Raven was confused:" What do you mean? Is there someone else or what?" Blake looked at Raven with blank eyes and said:" No, it's just your a witch, i don't do witches." He walked out the bathroom and Raven followed:" So than why did we just do that?" Blake stopped before going up the stairs:" I was bored and wanted to test something." By hearing this Raven was mad as hell and yelled to him while he was walking away:" Your a fuck nut. Ass hole.
