After dinner, there was still a lot to clean up. The table was cluttered with leftovers from the hot pot, but they tackled it together. She helped Leo with the dishes, and what started as a chore quickly turned playful.
They washed the dishes without even noticing when they were finished, too caught up in splashing water at each other. Their aprons were soaked, but they didn’t care. Leo, with a mischievous grin, made foam with the dish soap and playfully smeared bubbles across her face. He teased her, laughing, clearly enjoying himself as he found her irresistibly cute in the moment.
Emily and Leo both went to bed, and she nestled into his embrace. As another day came to an end, Emily glanced toward the window, where the dark yet brilliant night reflected back at her.
The moon and stars hung in the sky, as if they were the center of attention, making the night sparkling with their quiet beauty. Mesmerized by the view, Emily felt a sense of calm wash over her.
Emily hadn’t even realized when sleep overtook her as she lay watching the stars and moon. The night passed in the blink of an eye.
Upon waking, she instinctively reached out for Leo beside her, only to find him gone. Confused, she sat up, rubbing her eyes, and began calling out for him.
Then the delicious aroma of food lingering in the air got her. The scent made her stomach growl.
(Leo stood in the kitchen, a playful grin on his face as he overheard her stirring awake.)
"Good morning, sleepyhead!" he called, turning with a spatula raised like a trophy.
She asked while waking over —“What are you making Leo, even the smell making me hungry”.
His eyes sparkled mischievously as he added, "I'm whipping up your favorite breakfast—pancakes, eggs, and bacon, with a side of fruit."
(As Leo stepped closer, the mouthwatering aroma of breakfast swirled around them both.)
"I figured you'd need a good meal after a night of good sleep," he teased, winking as a smirk played at the corners of his lips.
(Leaning casually against the counter, arms crossed, Leo looked down at Emily with warmth.)
"Now, how about you help me finish breakfast?" he suggested, his tone light and inviting.
Emily stole a quick kiss, then darted away with a mischievous smile.
"Let me freshen up first! Wait for me here, and then we can have breakfast," she called over her shoulder, leaving him momentarily stunned.
(He raised an eyebrow, caught off guard by the suddenness of her kiss.)
A look of playful surprise crossed his face. "Oh, you little sneak!" he chuckled, a smile spreading across his lips as he watched her disappear.
(Leaning against the counter, he crossed his arms, an endearing grin lingering.)
"I'll be right here, counting the seconds until you come back," he teased, his voice light yet filled with affection.
As Emily ran off, he couldn’t help but admire her, a bubbling excitement building within him. "Just don't take too long, or I might eat all the pancakes without you!" he called after her, his tone playful, eager for her to return.
From down the hall, she shouted, "Ah, don't eat them without me! Wait for me! I'll be quick!"
He pretended to think for a moment, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Hmm, quick is good, but I have a feeling you might take your time just to tease me," he mused, leaning back against the counter with an exaggerated look of anticipation.
With a wink, he added, "Just know I'll be right here waiting—and I’ll definitely be ready for those pancakes when you return." His voice softened, a warm affection lacing his words. "But don’t rush too much; I love watching you move."
As he heard the bathroom door close behind her, he smiled to himself, excitement swirling in his chest for what was to come. "Hurry back, my wild cat," he whispered to the empty room, already missing her presence…
Emily reappeared, dressed and ready, her face glowing with excitement. "Here I am, all done! How do I look?" she asked, twirling playfully before glancing at Leo.
Leo turned to Emily, his eyes lighting up as she walked in. He took a moment to admire her. "Wow, you look absolutely stunning," he said, smirking with a cheeky glint in his eyes. "But you already know that.”
"This evening, I’ve got a get-together with my school friends. They’re bringing their boyfriends to show off, and I’d love to bring you along... but you're such a big celebrity. A lot of my friends are your fans, and I don’t know what I should do."
When she mentioned the get-together, he raised an eyebrow, a sly grin forming on his lips. "You know I'd love to show off as your boyfriend," he teased, his playful tone mixing with sincerity. "But I get it, it's a big deal.”
She paused for a moment, then added with a grin, "But never mind that—these pancakes are so good!" She leaned over, planting a soft kiss on his cheek. "Thanks for the wonderful breakfast, babe."
As she leaned in to kiss him on the cheek, his heart skipped a beat, the warmth of her touch lingering. "And you're welcome for breakfast," he chuckled.
Before Leo could respond, she launched into a flurry of questions, stuffing pancakes into her mouth between sentences. "Do you have a match later? Are you heading to the main base with your team?" she asked hurriedly, her words jumbled as she tried to talk and eat at the same time.
When she asked about his match, he flashed her a confident smile. "Yeah, I've got a match later with my team, over at the main base," he replied, adding a wink. "But I’ll still be rooting for you at your get-together. Just think of me as your secret weapon."
He leaned in closer, his voice soft but teasing. "So, what’s it going to be? Bring a celebrity boyfriend, or keep me as your secret?".....
