CHAPTER 4: SHOPPING
In Afternoon;
Everyone was ready to go out shopping.
Kelly
"I really wasn't in any mood to go shopping. Why drag me?"
Lily Roy
"I already told you I will not hear any refusal."
Annie Roy
"It will be fun Kelly."
Kelly
:sighs:
"Well... You guys go ahead first I uh.. I have a little something to do, I will come by myself."
Alex Roy
:squints his eyes:
"Trying to escape aren't you?"
Kelly
"No.. I mean, really no. I have a tiny urgent matter I need to get rid- I mean get off my shoulders."
Kelly gives a thin awkward smile trying not to look suspicious. But in fact it made her look even more suspicious.
Lily Roy
"Okay. But if u don't arrive there within 15 minutes, just see what I do then."
Lily fixes Kelly with a glare.
Kelly
"Haha now I don't want to die do I? 15 minutes is all I need, really."
Kelly laughs to herself a bit before clearing her throat.
Kelly
"You guys should get going now. I don't want to waste my precious 15 minutes standing and talking here."
Sofia
"Yesss let's go shopping spree!!"
They all walk and sit inside the car.
Lily Roy
"15 minutes Kelly. Not a minute more or less."
Lily gives her a sweet smile. Kelly bites down the urge to gulp down.
Kelly
"Sure. Mom, 15 minutes."
:smiles back:
Kelly
*Are all moms this scary or something? My reputation would be doomed if anyone ever even gets a hint of this.*
Kelly stood and watched, waving back at them as their car left the mansion. The second it's out of her sight Kelly drops the smile, and the coldness in her eyes returns.
Kelly
"Now, time to take care of the little rat."
Saying that Kelly went to garage and took her motorbike out. She wore her helmet and drove away.
Within 5 minutes Kelly reached an old abandoned factory, without taking off her helmet she got off the bike and walked inside. About 5 men in black were already inside the factory waiting for her, they greeted her as she came into sight.
The men nodded and led Kelly further inside where a man was tied down and blindfolded. Kelly walked closer and took off the blindfold, untaping his mouth as well.
Man
"You made a big big mistake by-"
And before the man could even finish his sentence, Kelly put a bullet in the middle of his forehead.
One of the men stepped forward and stood behind Kelly.
Dylan
"Why did u directly kill him ma'am."
Kelly turned around to look at Dylan. Dylan is one of the strongest men working for Kelly, and like Wang Li he has been by Kelly's side for quite a long time as well, one of few who dare to talk so casually with Kelly.
Kelly
"Didn't see any reason to keep him alive either."
Dylan
"But we don't know who he was working-"
Kelly
"Who said I don't know?"
Kelly
"Help me send a little gift to Andrew. He really had me underestimated if he sent such a lousy man to follow and spy on me."
Kelly scratches her eyebrow and smirks when she says.
Kelly
"By a little gift u know what I mean right? Dylan."
Kelly looks straight in his eyes with such a cold look that made Dylan gulp and stutter when he replies.
"Y-Yes... Yes boss I know."
Kelly pats on his back before she leaves the old factory to go to the shopping mall.
Everyone else was already waiting for Kelly outside the shopping mall.
Lily Roy
"You are 5 minutes-"
Kelly
"Early? I know. Couldn't have made my lovely mother wait for me that long could I?"
Half a smirk appears on her face.
Alex Roy
"Ah.. Let's get going now that you are here."
Kelly
"Yes. You wouldn't want to keep your guest waiting, now do u mom?"
Lily Roy
"Just wait till we are back home, you both. Such a father daughter duo you are, aren't you?"
Although Kelly wasn't all smiling, her eyes were softened in a way only people who really knew her could notice, the slightest hint of emotion sparking in her dark eyes that is usually missed by other people.
Rose Smith
"Lily, stop scolding her already. She was only 5 minutes late, don't make it a big deal. We are hanging out together after such a long time let's just enjoy it."
Alexander Smith
"Yes. Let the poor kid alone. No one can bear your scolding anyways."
Annie Roy
"You are so right Uncle."
Lily turned around to glare at them both.
Rose Smith
"Aishh my lovely Lily, stop glaring at everyone, you will grow wrinkles otherwise. You won't look young anymore then"
Lily Roy
"Fine. Only since You say so."
Rose Smith
"Now let's start our shopping shall we?"
Rose and Lily started walking ahead while chitchatting. Everyone else followed behind them.
Inside a shop;
Everyone was looking around and trying out clothes except for Kelly. She was sitting on a chair, sipping on coffee she asked for while giving everyone else suggestions and opinions.
Annie Roy
"How about this one?"
Sofia
"And this? Or this?"
Kelly was about to take a sip of her coffee when.
Kelly gets startled and drops a little coffee on herself.
Kelly
"Mom.."
:gives an awkward smile:
Lily Roy
"We are here for shopping!"
Kelly
"Yes. And we are doing that."
Lily Roy
"We are but you aren't. Why!"
Kelly
"I simply don't want to?"
Lily gives her a sweet smile in response.
Kelly
"I absolutely hate this."
Kelly who was forced to try out clothes chosen by Lily herself.
Lily Roy
"It looks absolutely lovely."
Rose Smith
"It does look quite good."
Kelly
"Mom.. It's bright pink! It looks ridiculous! Dad!"
Alex was standing next to Alexander, turning a blind eye to Kelly calling him.
Alex Roy
"Oh hey that suit looks good. I will try that on."
Kelly
*I can't believe you dad.*
Lily Roy
"I will give you options, either you join us in shopping, not just sit and drink coffee. Or I choose the clothes for you and I promise to make u wear them everyday." :smiles:
Kelly
"Okay. Okay I will do that"
Lily Roy
"Good let's go to another shop."
They entered another shop. This time Kelly tried out a few outfits as well. While she was checking out a dress she felt like she was being stared at again. She turned around to find Sam looking away.
Sam Smith
*Gosh. I hope she didn't notice I was staring. I looked away in time right?*
Sam slowly looked back only to see Kelly was not there.
Sam Smith
*Huh? Where did she go?*
Kelly was standing behind him and as she speaks her tone was as cold as ice.
Sam startles out of his place completely.
Sam Smith
"H-How did she walk over here so fast and.. so quietly"
:whispers under his breath:
Kelly
"Do we have a problem?"
Kelly
"I said, do we have a problem?"
Sam Smith
"I don't think so.. No?"
Kelly walks a step closer to him as she says her next sentence.
Kelly
"So why the hell do you keep staring at me?"
Sam Smith
*Shit! She noticed. Well obviously she did. Also she's standing so close*
Sam's face and ear turns red from being so close to her as well as from the embarrassment of being caught staring at her.
Sam Smith
"T-That... That.. I uh... Just.. umm-"
Kelly
"Whatever. Just stop staring at me. Or I can help you stop staring as well. Got it?"
Kelly brings her face a bit closer to his, making Sam turn even more redder.
Kelly steps back and walks away. Sam lets out the breath he was holding and brings his hand to his mouth.
Sam Smith
*Gosh that was so embarrassing. She probably thought I was a creep or a pervert for staring at her. But I just couldn't help but look at her.*
Ron Smith
"Bro, do u have a fever or something? Your whole face is so red!"
William Smith
"Yeah dude, if you go anymore redder you would look exactly like a tomato."
Sam Smith
"Shut up you two! It's nothing."
While everyone was busy picking out clothes, a tall man in a suit, blond hair in a messy hairstyle with a poisonous smile pasted on his face. A deadly aura around him just like Kelly as he walks inside the shop and all the staff members run to welcome him inside.
Annie Roy
"Ugh! Why is this bastard here!"
Sofia
"Kelly is gonna get super pissed to see him here."
Kelly comes out of the dressing room wearing a long black dress, with a slit at her left leg.
As soon as she comes out, her eyes fall on the man standing in the center of the shop. Her jaw tightens, she closes her eyes for a moment to take breath before opening them back up to look at the man with a frown.
Kelly
"What a bad luck to see u here. Zachary."
Her tone was calm yet it was cold enough to send shivers down everyone's spine. The temperature of the shop suddenly felt like it was freezing in there, and the tension in the shop was thick enough to be cut by a butter knife, and it felt almost impossible to move. Such was the deadly and dangerous aura of both of them.
Zachary smirks at her.
Zachary Valentine
"Looking gorgeous in that dress, darling."
Zachary Valentine
"You look like the queen of hell in that dress, it's absolutely perfect. Like it was made for you and only you. I can't take my eyes off you."
Zachary wasn't the only one unable to take his eyes off Kelly. Sam who now was completely red, had his mouth opened and eyes fixated on Kelly as well.
Sam Smith
*She looks too gorgeous to be real. So perfect. I wonder if she's an angel. I can't believe I met an angel in real life.*
Kelly
"I can help you take your eyes off me. By cutting them out of your eye sockets"
Zachary Valentine
"God, I just love when you talk to me like that. Who told u I wouldn't willingly give you the knife to cut my eyes out?"
Sofia
"You really are crazy aren't you?"
Zachary answers keeping his gaze at Kelly.
Zachary Valentine
"Crazy in love with Kelly? Yes I absolutely am."
Annie Roy
"Actually it's called obsession not love."
Zachary Valentine
"I couldn't care less what it is called."
Kelly looks down and rubs her forehead.
Kelly
"Get lost Zachary. Don't ruin my mood than it already is."
Kelly eyes land on navy blue dress, as she looks up and a memory reoccurs in her mind.
A voice: "Honestly I think navy blue suits you the best, better than black."
Zachary follows Kelly's gaze and takes out the navy blue dress from the rack.
Zachary Valentine
"Ah.. You have a really good eye Kelly. This is a stunning dress as well"
Kelly closes her eyes for a moment before at Zachary.
Zachary Valentine
"Isn't it obvious? I want You Kelly."
Lily Roy
"Hah! What makes You think you are good enough for our Kelly?"
Zachary Valentine
"Mrs. Roy."
:smiles: "I don't think in fact I know I am the best for Kelly, after all there isn't anyone better than me."
Sofia
"It isn't good for a person to be that delusional."
Kelly
"Either you go back on your own two legs. Or I will help you go back on a stretcher with multiple bullets inside you."
A voice in Kelly's head rings.
A voice: "Awe. Don't be like that Kelly. You aren't that heartless"
Kelly
*I hate this feeling*
Kelly got lost in her thoughts, she froze in her place. Zachary walks closer to her.
Zachary Valentine
"Come on Kelly. Why do you keep trying to push me away so bad? You know I have everything you want! You can so much more power with me! I am the best for You just accept it! You and I can rule the world together!"
A voice: "Let's travel the world together, Kelly"
Annie Roy
"Hey bastard step away from her!"
Zachary takes another step closer to Kelly and was about to grab her by her waist when Sam bumped into him with a cup of hot coffee that slipped all over him, Zachary immediately stepped back groaning as his hand burned with the hot coffee, Kelly also came out of her thoughts, she looked confused at what happened.
Kelly stared at Sam, this time actually looking at him and taking in his features, his messy dark hair parted from the middle, his eyes the color of the sky, a wide smile that shows all his teeth, with dimples on both his cheeks and a well shaped jawline.
Sam Smith
"Ah Shit! Sorry dude!"
Zachary Valentine
"What the hell man?! Are you blind?!"
Sam Smith
"I just wanted to give her the coffee she asked for, I am just so clumsy sorry about that."
Zachary Valentine
"Couldn't you give her the coffee a little later?!"
Sam Smith
"Actually no, it would have gone cold and She really hates cold coffee."
A small smile appears on Kelly's face for a moment before it disappears. Zachary grabs Sam's collar.
Zachary Valentine
"Why you little piece of-"
Kelly grabs Zachary's wrist.
Kelly
"Take off your hands from his collars."
Zachary Valentine
"Not before I teach him a good lesson-"
Kelly pushes Zachary to the ground, and before anyone else could speak a word or do anything, Kelly puts two bullets in both his legs.
Kelly
"I told you, you can go back on your own but you didn't listen. Count your lucky stars it's only 2 bullets today."
Zachary lying on the floor starts laughing, except for Sam, Ron and William no one else seemed shocked at Kelly's action.
Ron Smith
"S-She.. she Shot him?!"
William Smith
"Why is he laughing like that?!"
Kelly
"I have done enough shopping, I am leaving. You can continue if u like."
Kelly went back inside the changing room to put on her clothes, on her way out of the shop Kelly stepped on Zachary's palm who was still laughing. Alex and Alexander who went to buy drinks for everyone came back to the shop looking confused.
Alex Roy
"So Kelly left huh?"
Kelly was out of the shopping and on her motorbike holding her head, as she searched her jacket pockets for something.
Kelly
"Where is it dammit!"
Finding what she was looking she took out the tiny bottle and took out 2 pills before changing her mind and driving away instead.
