Chap. 4
*My hands are itching with curiosity, immediately opened the box. I was surprised to see the contents of the box.
"Hm? What's this*?"
It turned out that the contents of the box were an envelope which was bone white with two roses pinned in front of the envelope.
"What is this?" I glanced at Romy suspiciously.
The one who was asked just shrugged his shoulders, moved from his seat to the fountain in the middle of the park while putting his hand in his jacket pocket and staring at the surface of the water while standing up.
I shrugged my eyes away and took out two stalks of roses pinned to the front of the envelope which have a yellow and purple color, respectively.
I tried to remember the color meanings of the roses.
Oh yes!
Yellow stands for friendship and happiness, which is usually suitable for cheering someone on.
One more purple, meaning charm, majesty, and love at first sight.
I turned back to where Romy was, he was still standing at the edge of the fountain. I'm sure he understands the meaning of the flowers he pinned to the front of the envelope.
Then my attention turned back to the envelope in my hand. I opened the adhesive closed envelope, and found a letter.
Dear : Julie Vinson
I'm sorry, maybe this is too rush
for the two of us, but I feel I can't be
away from you.
'Cause you're the apple to my pie.
You're the straw to my berry.
You're the smoke to my high.
And you're the one I'm gonna marry.
I didn't mean to propose to you,
but will you be mine? I know it's too
hasty, but please answer my question.
Even though I realize you will be
arranged with other people, but give
me opportunity to have you. Maybe
this could be a middle ground for you
to cancel the match.
I know that you must understand
about the meaning of the two stalks
the rose I gave. Because of you own
even has a flower shop. Okay, forget
about that for a moment.
I've fallen for you at the first sight.
Do you remember the moment of
our first met?
No, not at the party, of course. Maybe
we weren't each other then know, but
your flower shop can be a silent witness
the fall of my heart to you at my first sight.
At that time, you were standing
between the pots colorful flowers, look
at you so passionate about serving
customers, sweat running down your
forehead, but that's it will never damage
your image against me.
After so long I found out information
about you, finally we can meet officially
at the party that your father helds.
After waiting so long opportunity for
mere chat with you, finally I have it.
But unfortunately, I heard the news
that you will be arranged, and news it
even comes from your own mouth.
My heart feels pain as if it was struck
lightning in broad daylight. After waiting
so long, how come burned immediately
after hearing the news from you?
Of course I know myself. During yellow
leaflets hasn't curved, nothing ban on
cornering.
I hope, we can thwart your match
using this way.
I have no intention for playing your
feelings, but, please accept my feeling.
*Y*ou know what?
I like you for so long,
sometimes it hard to bear.
But after all this time,
I hope you wait and see.
Please be mine.
I'll wait for your answer :
tomorrow at 03.45 pm in the Lonely Lake.
Just keep the mail, envelope, and the
box with you.
My hope you'll come. I will wait for you.
Romy Eden.
I folded the letter back neatly and put it back into the black box.
"Hey, Romy!" My eyes are still focused on the envelope and it's friends.
Because I didn't get a response then I lifted my head and looked around the garden fountain.
I can't see Romy's figure. He disappeared as if swallowed by the earth.
Suddenly I remembered his letter message: tomorrow at 03.45 in the Lonely Lake.
Hmm... Okay, I'll wait for tomorrow.
*S*uch a lovely letter! Love it! ~
I thought to myself.
"Hmm ... Where do I better be? Maybe I'll go to the flower shop first." I muttered to myself.
"All right, let's go to the flower shop first!" I mumbled again, then left the fountain garden in the city center to my flower shop.
I walked with a flowery heart and kept on humming cheerfully. Without realizing it I have stepped my foot in the flower shop yard.
I pushed open the wooden shop gate to an adult's stomach. I walked through the shop yard.
"Hello, miss!" There are several employees who are tending the plants in the yard greet me.
"Hello, Martha! Is my father in the shop?" I asked one of the shop employees who greeted me just now.
"The master is inside the shop, miss." Martha answered.
"All right, thank you, Martha! Keep it up for taking care of plants!" I encourage her.
I realized that working in the hot sun was tiring, so I handed her a drinking bottle.
"Oh yes, Martha, please tell all employees to rest. It's almost time for lunch." I'm telling.
"Very well, miss! Thank you!"
"You're welcome!" I answered, winking and smiling at her.
She smiled back.
I walked towards the front door of the shop and pushed it. Instantly there was the sound of a bell hanging above the door.
I took a sheet of paper bag and put the black box in it, then carried it.
"Dad? Are you here?" I looked for my father's whereabouts while walking to the back door of the shop.
"Dad?" I pushed open the back door.
"What is wrong?" suddenly my father appeared behind my back.
"Dad? Where have you been? Your clothes smell like the sun." I asked suspiciously.
"None of your business, so, what are you looking for me?"
"Oh... Nothing. Have you seen my petunia flower arrangement? It's a customer order." I answered my father's question.
"Try looking in the corner cupboard over there." my father gave advice.
"All right, thanks, Dad!" I thanked him, then went to open the cupboard in the corner.
I opened the cupboard, then slid the black box between the piles of the finished flower herbariums, being careful not to damage the herbariums there.
It's a little difficult to hide it, but if my father caught me tucking something between the herbarium, it could be a big problem. Especially if the father knows the contents of the letter in it.
I didn't forget to also take out the roses Romy gave from the black box and spray alcohol on the roses, then go out to dry them in the sun so they last.
After finishing taking care of the flowers Romy gave me, I returned to the front of the cupboard and took the semi-finished series, closed the door to the cupboard, and sat up in the rocking chair, then continued flower arrangement while humming cheerfully.
My head is already filled with many plans to welcome Romy's feelings. I am arranging flowers while gazing out the shop window and floating around.
Without realizing it, there were a pair of eyes watching me from afar.
What made her so happy? ~
The owner of the pair of eyes thought in his heart, squinting suspiciously.
I was completely unaware of a suspicion because I was so caught up in the feeling of happiness right now.
