Episode 2: The Happy Camp
They lay entwined, catching their breath.
The fire has died down, leaving only glowing embers.
The night is dark and silent, the air heavy with the scent of pine and earth.
Karen
(murmuring) That was incredible.
Jimmy
(smiling) Yeah, it was.
They share a soft kiss, but the moment is interrupted by rustling in the bushes nearby.
They sit up, tension creeping in as they strain to listen.
Karen
(whispering) Did you hear that?
Jimmy
(frowning) Yeah. Probably just an animal.
They try to shake off the unsettling feeling, but the air feels charged.
The shadows in the tent begin to loom larger, almost as if they have a life of their own.
Karen
(nervously) Maybe we should go inside the tent?
Jimmy
(trying to sound brave) It’s nothing.
Jimmy
Probably just a raccoon or something.
They attempt to dismiss their fear and start kissing again, their hands roaming over each other’s bodies.
But the tension hangs heavy in the air.
Karen
(shivering) I can't shake the feeling we're being watched.
Jimmy
<Jimmy, sensing her apprehension, kisses her forehead and holds her close.>
Jimmy
(whispering) It’s just your imagination. We’re safe here.
Suddenly, a loud screech pierces the night air, sending both of them jumping apart.
Karen
(terrified) What was that?!
Jimmy
(tense) I don’t know, but we should stay inside.
They crawl into the tent, zipping it up securely.
The world outside feels threatening now.
They try to resume their intimate moment, but the tension hangs heavy in the air.
(whimpering) Please, Jimmy...
Jimmy
<Jimmy tries to reassure her, but his heart races with adrenaline.>
They clutch each other tightly as another shriek reverberates through the forest, echoing through the darkness.
Jimmy
(whispering) It’ll be okay. We just need to stick together.
They huddle close, but the creeping terror has taken hold.
Their breaths come in quick gasps as they hear the unmistakable sound of flapping wings outside the tent.
