2. WHY ME?#2

The boy looks at the boring lecture going on in front of him, as he lays there just doodling random stuff in his notebook. He was so into the drawing in his book that he almost didn't notice the teacher that called his name.

"Mr. Jeon?"

He instantly snapped out of it and looked at his calculus teacher, Kim Namjoon. The only think he liked about being in this class right now was because of the teacher, he found Namjoon very kind and caring. So he answers him with a polite 'Yes'. Although Jungkook was known to be the cold-hearted playboy of the school whom everyone had a crush on, he was still kind at heart to the people he really cared about.

"Mr. Jeon, you seemed quite lost." (Namjoon)

"Uh...not really Mr. Kim." (Jungkook)

"Well, if there's anything that's bothering you, please don't hesitate to come talk to me, okay?" (Namjoon)

"Sure thing." (Jungkook)

With that, Jungkook sat down and this time tried to pay attention to the lecture. But his mind kept wandering back to what had happened in the morning.

*At Jungkook's home, at around 8:00 a.m. before school*

He woke up to the loud noises that were coming from downstairs, as he sits up rubbing his eyes.

"DO YOU THINK THIS IS FINE?!?!" (JK's Dad)

"But..." (JK's Mom)

"SHUT UP!! YOU DON'T HAVE THE RIGHT TO DEFEND YOUR SON NOW!!" (JK's Dad)

Jungkook came out of his bedroom and walked down stairs to the sight of his Mom being abused by his Dad as she was crying on the floor. Without second thoughts, he rushed to her and picked her up from the ground with tears gushing through his eyes.

"D-dad...w-why would you do that..." (Jungkook)

"Shut up, you pathetic as**ole!! Do you even know what you've done?!" (JK's Dad)

What had Jungkook done to get his Dad so furious and mad? Well apparently, though the Jeons very filthy rich, their family was known for being ruthless and harsh. It was almost like a Mafia Family, and hence Jungkook's father was very torturous and abusive to him. He was also the only child in the family, so they did expect a lot from him.

In school, Jungkook was the most popular kid, and everyone knew him. Everyone liked him too, but every other person comes with a bad trait or two. Jungkook was known to be a playboy, who just couldn't seem to understand the concept of love. Not that he would use and throw people out of his life, but he was never serious with any relationship he had ever had. He did respect people and their boundaries though, and that's why everybody seemed to love him so much. But the sad truth was that, they just loved the mask that the real Jeon Jungkook was hiding behind.

The real Jeon Jungkook was a broken boy with a heart that never seemed to be warm enough. The real Jungkook was suffering from depression and stress about his life. The real Jungkook would mask up his suicidal thoughts just for the public and put in his Golden Smile. It was never easy for him to live up to people's expectations, but he did it. Although he struggled to fight back the urge to break down in front of everyone for at least once in his life, he would stop himself. Just so he doesn't look weak. It was as though he lived for others and never for himself. Everyone expected something from him and he was just a doll who would give them what they wanted.

So he went up to his father, as he was supposed to and knelt down in front of him. He closed his eyes shut and asked his father to take his anger out on him and not his Mom. And so he did, Jungkook's father beat him up, to the point where he became numb as his body refused to feel anything. After his father was done with his filthy hands smashing against Jungkook's cheeks, he walked out of there with a disgusted scowl on his face. Almost instantly, his Mom rushed to him and helped him up to sit on the couch. Her tears were now filled with a deeper pain than before as she looked at her son's red cheeks. She brushed her soft hands against Jungkook's cheek and pecked it, making him close his eyes and flutter to the sensation. There was so much love and affection in it. Probably the only kiss he ever received with so much love.

"Mum, please don't let him beat you up again." (Jungkook)

"Oh... honey, you know him-" (Mom)

"No, Mom!! Do you have any idea how much it hurts seeing you like this?!" (Jungkook)

He hugged her close to his body whilst burying his face in the crook of her neck. She rubbed her warm hands against her son's back, comforting him from all the pain. In the midst of all this Jungkook totally forgot that he had college today. So he immediately pulled out of his Mom's hug and rushed upstairs.

"Mum, I have to go to college now." (Jungkook)

"Okay, Kookie. Don't forget your breakfast." (JK' s Mom)

"Yeah!" (Jungkook)

He rushed in, took a warm shower and got ready in the span of 30 minutes. He went over to the kitchen to fine that the food was already prepared and kept. He quickly stuffed it in and got into his black Mercedes and drove away.

*End Of Flashback*

Luckily, the class was over soon and Jungkook packed his things up. He went over to the front of the room and waited for the other kids to leave. All the girls literally shoved their whole bodies while walking past him, as they licked their lips, thinking that he would notice them. But that was the last thing Jungkook would do right now.

Finally all the kids left, and Jungkook was alone in the room now. With Namjoon, of course.

"Mr. Kim..." (Jungkook)

"Uh uh...what have I told about calling me when we aren't in class?" (Namjoon)

"Joonie-hyung, there is so much happening right now." (Jungkook)
