The sound of the pen scratching the contract echoed through the silence. Evan watched silently, as Charlie signed away his rights to Cameron.
Tears streamed down Charlie's face, his expression a mixture of regret and pain. He looked up at Evan.
Evan looked away, unable to meet Charlie's gaze as it's a moment of mixed emotions for him too. He felt a sense of relief that this is finally over but also pity for Charlie.

Evan got worried, wondering why and where could they be at 8am in the morning. He went to check Charlie's room and Cameron's nursery and realised most of the belongings are gone.

Evan dialled Charlie's number but it couldn't get through. He tried texting but it couldn't get through either.
