Friends

 "We should have just continued to be friends why did I have to tell him about my one-sided crush", Arya said as she rested her head on the couch head.

 "I warned you,now that you've seen it, are you still in love with him?",Abi asked.

 "Yes but now I think it's time to call it quits",She sighed and stood up to adjust her look.

 The two girls spent some time in Abi's room before going down to the dinner. Abi's parents came to meet her when they noticed her and Arya talking to some guests.

"Good evening Ma and Sir your dinner is amazing", Arya said as Abi's dad acknowledged with a smile while the mother forced a smile to appear presentable in front of the business partners.

"We would love to introduce you to some people Abi, do you have a minute sorry Arya we have to take Abi away", Abi's dad said and Arya smiled.

"Ohhh No problem..., Arya smiled and faced Abi, Don't worry I'll be fine I'll just be over there talking to some people", Arya smiled and left Abi's side.

Right after Arya left Abi's mother grabbed Abi's hand and took her to a corner with the father following them.

"What did I tell you about bringing your friend to a family dinner?",

"This is not a family dinner it's a business dinner and besides Arya is always welcome, right dad?", Abi looked at her dad.

"Yeah that's right, Abi the people you are about to meet already met with your siblings now it's your turn you have to act like a matured teen and not like a rebellion and get rid of these bangles they look like some ritual", Her dad said and hurriedly left with her mom as Abi followed them and got rid of the bangles.

"Hello Mr Hill", Abi's father greeted a man and shook his hand.

"Hello Mr Smith I recalled we met few minutes ago right", The man said as he smiled.

"You mentioned last time that you wanted to meet my younger daughter right....., Abi's dad took Abi's hand and pulled her closer, ... Here she is",

"Good evening Mr Hill, hope you are enjoying the party?", Abi asked politely.

"What a delightful young lady I hear from your parents that you are the top of your class I'm I right?",

"Well that's true", Abi responded.

"I would have loved you to see my son he's overseas and currently the top of his grade", Mr Hill laughed.

After a few talks here and there Abi left her parents side and went to find Arya, but she couldn't find her, after few minutes she still didn't find Arya, so she concluded she must've gone home.

"How are you doing?", A soft female voice sounded behind Abi.

"I'm good not like you care", Abi scoffed and took a drink from a waiter passing by.

"My little sister still angry at me?", The other lady smiled and walked closer to Abi as she put her hands on Abi's shoulder.

"What do you want Maya?, you only come back here when you need have something for Dad and that makes me curious what type of business are you doing with Dad that neither I nor Lez know about",

"It's best if you and Lez don't know anything about that", Maya said folding her hands akimbo.

"I hope it's not some drugs business or business that has to do with killing cause I'll fucking run away", Abi said and left.

"I don't want to lose you guys that's why", Maya whispered as she sipped her wine and walked away to meet her Parents.

An hour after Arya left Abi and her parents she went to the garden feeling a little bit tipsy from the wine she took at the party, she rested her back on a tree admiring the night skies until someone came.

"What are you doing here all alone?", Lez asked standing in front of Arya.

"Just go away", Arya said still closing her eyes.

When Arya opened her eyes what welcomed her was Lez standing in front of her wearing new clothes.

"Changed outfits?", Arya asked while her eyebrows raised in question, while Lez scratched his head behind his neck acting shy cause she saw him with his girlfriend not quite long.

"Well my dad's the host so I have to look presentable at least", Arya nodded her head as she tried to take a step only to end up wobbling as Lez caught her hurriedly.

"Hey be careful",

"Thanks", Arya whispered as she stared at him and clutched his shirt in her hands not wanting to let go.

"Arya let...", He couldn't finish his sentence cause Arya suddenly kissed him making him shocked.

Arya kissed Lez with all her might cause she was so angry, jealous and hurt because of what she saw while in Abi's room so she dived deeper into kissing him Arya wanted to stop when she saw no reaction from him but when she removed her lips from his he immediately smashed his lips on her kissing her like they were lovers.

A minute later they both released their selves and was shocked by what happened.

"Woah", Arya said shocked by what happened.

"I'm really sorry Arya I wasn't in my straight mind",

"Then why did you kiss me back? You weren't in your straight mind? Am I such a joke to you huh? Lez tell me the truth have you ever seen me as a potential girlfriend?", Arya asked with her eyes turning red with pain.

"I have a girlfriend I......, Arya cut him off sentence.

"Before you had your girlfriend Lez cause you were obviously single when I told you I liked you, Did you ever like me?", Arya asked.

"No, I only thought of you as my friend", Lez said making Arya burst into tears.

"Then why didn't you say anything that day I told you I liked you, you should have just told me you only see me as a friend nothing more why did you keep my hopes high?", Arya asked as she cried silently.

"Please tell Abi I already left", Arya left feeling dejected.

"Shit", Lez cursed and punched the tree.
