Ep 5

Her head was messed up due to something. She was doing the utensils, but her mind was somewhere else. She came to the realization with the loud sound of thunder.

She started working quickly because she didn’t want to stay in the kitchen any longer. After cleaning the kitchen counter, her work was finished. She washed her hands and wiped them with the kitchen towel. She went straight to the bedroom to see her naughty brother standing by the window, getting soaked by the rain droplets. He was smiling and playing with the rain.

She smiled but then her eyes went to the floor. She was getting annoyed by this. She went toward him and twisted his ear.

“What did I tell you? Say it,” she said.

He whimpered in pain and said, “Nini, sorry, I was just... Please let me go,” while smiling in pain.

She twisted his ear more, and he yelled. She dragged him by the ear, pushed him onto the bed, made him lie down properly, and covered him with the blanket.

She glared at him and said, “Don’t you even dare put your leg out of the bed.” She closed the window and went to get the mop to clean the mess her brother had made.

While she was mopping, he peeked out from under the blanket.

Smiling, he asked, “Nini, where’s your phone?”

She looked at him. He gulped in fear as she looked like a devil who could eat him at any moment.

He quickly covered himself and said from under the blanket, “No worries, I’ll just sleep.”

After cleaning, she wrung out the mop and placed it on the stool. She then checked the door and windows to ensure they were properly locked, as the rain had started falling heavily. Noticing the direction of the rain was towards the door and water was beginning to seep inside, she quickly grabbed an old, unusable towel and shoved it under the door to block the water from coming in.

She headed towards the bed to lie down, resting on her back. Her eyes widened, and a small sound escaped her lips as her back ached.

Upon hearing the sound, Adu asked, "Are you okay, Ninu?"

She hummed in response. He poked her shoulder with his finger.

She looked at him and said, "Now, what?"

She understood from the way he was looking at her—like a child with an innocent soul.

She extended her hand towards him to indicate something.

He hurried over and snuggled into her.

She regretted her decision, as he was using her as a pillow. She stiffened in place. She pushed her brother's leg off her head .

She caressed his hair and closed her eyes, letting her mind relax. She smiled with her eyes closed. Both of them slept like that.

A few hours later, she woke up to the doorbell. She carefully moved out of her brother's grip and went towards the door, rubbing her eyes.
