Mother?

Mariah woke up a few days ago and found her self at a hospital bed and a nurse entered the room and Mariah started acting to cry when she found out that lilys mother and lily had died and Mariah had no where to live... it's been a few days that Mariah stayed at the hospital and she started to get to know about the nurses and doctors there and she was the favorite, Mariah stayed with the nurse who took care of her and decided to live with her since the nurse is the only person that Mariah trusted, Mariah was in her new room and the nurse gave her food and told her storys and funny ones and Mariah realized the nurse is 25 years old and decided to keep the house clean and patient, nice to the nurse... four years had passed and Mariah was 15 years old and the nurse is 29,mariah was on school learning until the teacher came running to the classroom and shouting that there's a shooter in the hallways and had to lockdown immediately, all the students moved to the back of the class while some of the students block the doors and windows with tables and chairs or shelfs, Mariah was scared that she will die and could never have time to live with the nurse... the teacher calmed Mariah down as they started hearing gunshots and people's scream, everyone was panicking and no where to go because the shooter was heading to their classroom Mariah got and idea and pulls something out of her bag, it's a balloon with baby powder Mariah opens the window and throws at the shooters face and the shooter started panicking and wiping his eyes which made everyone escape before the shooter continues to shoot, everyone got out of the school and a lot of police officers were aiming at the gates waiting for the shooter to get out. Mariah finds the nurse and rushed at her crying on the nurse shoulder, what could happen when Mariah couldn't make it? the nurse hugged Mariah and asking her if she is okay or how did she escape, and Mariah answered all of them, the next day all class were suspended and all students will have to rest and calm down what just happened yesterday, Mariah saw the announcement and sigh in relief as she sees the nurse working on her laptop and eating, Mariah started answering her home work and chatting with her friends and taking short naps... it was late at night and Mariah was taking a quick shower while the nurse is at the hospital doing her 19 night hour shift, Mariah heard her cats meowing and she got out of the bathroom and changes into her pajamas and feeds the cats and goes to her bedroom until she saw a note in her desk...

..."I miss you please come back it's me your mother I'm so sorry what your father did and me. please come back"...

Mariah got scared and wondered how her mother found out their address, Mariah contacted the police to keep out for her mother outside the house, Mariah ran outside and asked one of the neighbors who were awake asking them to stay at their place and waited for the police... (to be continued).
