The stranger

The orange sun rays finds it way into the green square window, resting perfectly on her face. Swan groan upon feeling the hot already scorching sun on her white creamy skin. Slowly her intertwine eyelashes disengage from each other revealing a little round blue sea eyes.

Damn you! Why my room of all the rooms here. She said with a frown, she sat upright fidgeting with her fingers

Can't I just skip school? She mumbled

No. Father is going to be mad.

She got up from the bed and beaded to the bathroom to perform her morning routine. It didn't take long before she came out with a wine color towel rap around her slim perfect body. Her emerald blue sea eyes scan the mirror desk, perhaps searching for the hair dryer since water kept dripping from her hair

Where is it? She asks no one in particular.

She took a little locomotion to the desk and started searching for the dryer. She could remember leaving it there two days ago after getting drained in the rain.

After searching tireless for it, she decided to let it go

Going to school with watering hair wasn't a crime. The scorching sun could even do the job before she would get to school.

She walked sluggishly towards the closet picking up her orange mix green uniform. After applying her lotion, she wore the uniform applying all the necessities including her tie and waist belt.

She spare a glance at the medium size mirror with a satisfy smile on her lips, she went out of the room.

She met her father and mother speaking with a stranger

She assumed the person to be a stranger since she haven't seen him before. Something got her attention about the stranger

His manner of speaking, though she could not hear what he was saying but the way his lips roll and rum she could feel the authority and power coming from it. His well shave beard making him look underage, but she could tell he was about her father age. He was dress in an expensive office suit making her more curious about whom the stranger could be. Her parents weren't Rich neither are they poor, but their standard doesn't give way for such wealthy man to come into their home; definitely there is more to this stranger

Why is he in their house, so early!

Swan curiosity took the best part of her that she forgot about going to school, instead she stood at the step standing akimbo with her gaze on the visitor.

This time she walked a little close, so she could hear what they were saying.

I need time Mr Lewis. I need to prepare her for the future that await her, besides she doesn't know any of this yet. Mr Lakes said firmly

You should have done that a long time ago. I wonder if you were thinking the proposal is a mare joke! Mr Lewis snapped with a fie gaze at Mr Lakes

Am sorry, but please just give me twenty-four hours to prepare her. Mr Lakes said in a pleading tone

Her parents made an agreement with the stranger? She gave her father a questioning look, but he ignored her stares. She gulped down

She wasn't wrong, she have been sold to this man of authority

The man brought out his phone and made a quick call, immediately a tall strawberry blonde hair lady walk in with a nylon on her hands

Stacy, go and dress her up. Don't keep me waiting. Mr Lewis stated before existing the house

Okay, Swan show the lady to your room. Mrs Lakes said mildly. Swan slowly turn back going into her room like a docile. Stacy followed her.

Wow! Am so happy for Swan. Mrs Lakes said with a smile

Stop the pretence Vera. Mr Lakes shut her a glare.

You are so beautiful. Stacy complemented as she helps Swan with her makeup, Swan said nothing, just staring at her reflection on the mirror with tears still tricking down her cheeks

All done. Stacy said helping Swan up. Swan was dress in a creamy handless wedding gown, it fit her slim curvy body perfectly.

You are so pretty. I just wish you could get married to a more responsible man. Stacy said cautious of her words, Swan look at her with a confused stare

What do you mean? Swan ask with stuttering voice

Swan ignore leaving the house without looking back, immediately she went out of sight, Mr Lakes collapsed on the floor sobbing bitterly

Crying won't change anything. You should be glad that worthless thing is out from our life. Mrs Lake's said scornfully heading to her room while humming a song

Getting into the black Benz Swan feel her self entering into a new world. Just that there were no bleak towards this new world, well she will just wait and see this new world take her to, she wished it could be somewhere better than home. She wanted to appear in her dream land of peace and joy. Just like that, the car drove out of her father's compound to a destination she knew nothing of.
